This is a for fun gimmick tournament focused around one of the pillars of the tournament community, our beloved Kevin (Chiv)

The gimmick will be that a week before each pool is released, we will stream on twitch spinning a wheel twice between 3 categories, Gameplay | Music | Jonkler This will decide the specific gimmick for each pool, every round is subjected to be chaotic and completely different from the past one, even qualifiers, so be prepared to cover as many skillsets as you can in your roster for it

Once we roll for the main 2 gimmicks, we will spin the wheel for subcategories inside that gimmick, these will be made by the poolers/admins themselves but regular players can also suggest fun ideas, we will review if they're fair and add them to the wheel for future rounds :)

A short example of this would be the following:

Gameplay: Old maps only (2012 and earlier)
Jonkler: Mimic owc 2015 balancing for skillsets

and many more that are possible with this gimmick, the limit is our imagination.

Each week we will also include 1-3 CHIV picks in the slotting format, which will consist exclusively of maps chiv has pooled way too much and has to let go, this will basically be the only constant between rounds.

Team Composition
  1. Teams require a minimum of 3 players and a maximum of 4, all players on the team should be rank 2-100k BWS+ (rounded, bws 1.8 = bws 2)
  2. Teams must have members all either residing within or with profile flags within the same region.
  3. Teams will exclusively be scheduled based on their region and not their actual place of residence.
  4. There will be three regions for this tournament:
The Americas and East Pacific Islands (Americas)
Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA)
Asia, Australia, and Oceania (AAO)

  1. The Americas includes North America, South America, and any island nations, territories, or other dominions east of the International dateline and west of North and South America.
  2. EMEA includes Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
  3. All countries listed in the Middle East region may only play for EMEA teams despite some of these countries being included in the list of Asian countries.
  4. Kazakhstan is listed as part of Europe but may only play for AAO due to its timezone and the majority of the country being in Asia.
  5. AAO includes Asia and most of Oceania.
  6. Hawaii, the Cook Islands, and French Polynesia are excluded from AAO as they are all east of the international dateline and thus fall under the Americas.
  7. Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan are part of EMEA rather than AAO as they fall west of the Caspian Sea and have timezones closer to EMEA than AAO.
  8. Players from Russia may register for teams from either EMEA or AAO, but they will be scheduled according to the overall team region.

Qualifiers
  1. Qualifiers must be played during the qualifiers weekend (see schedule).
  2. Custom lobbies are permitted so long as the request is made 24 hours in advance of the desired lobby time. The tournament organizers reserve the right to deny these requests should it be unreasonable to accommodate.
  3. All qualifier lobbies must be scheduled to begin on or before Monday 1UTC following the qualifiers weekend.
  4. Qualifiers will be played through in order, beginning with the first map and ending with the last map of the qualifiers pool.
  5. Teams must perform the qualifiers in one lobby. At least 3 players from the team must be present for each map.
  6. Should a team exit the qualifier lobby early, the remaining maps will be counted as 0 score and will not be eligible for replay.
  7. Teams have 90 seconds to ready up between maps.
  8. If a player disconnects in the first 30 seconds, they may replay the map once at the end of the lobby. If they are unable to replay the map for some technical issue, another member of the team may take their place.
  9. The top 16 qualifying teams will proceed to a Round of 16 double-elimination bracket.
  10. Qualifier Results will be seeded according to the sum of percentiles assuming a normal curve (also known as "Z-Sum" or "sum of Z-Percentiles"). The exact formula for the percentile received on a given map is normcdf([score - avg(scores)] / stdev(scores)), where avg and stdev are taken over all teamscores on the map. These percentiles are then added together for final seeding.
Match Procedures
  1. Captains will be invited by their assigned match referee 5 minutes before the scheduled time. They will be notified 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
  2. A 5-minute grace period is given to late teams. Teams who fail to show up after the 5-minute grace period will lose by default.
  3. Each team has one 2-minute timeout to use at any point during the match.
  4. Timeouts must be called in chat before any active timers expire (else it will be ignored).
  5. If both teams agree, they can play warmups.
  6. In the event a player disconnects within approximately the first 30 seconds of a map, the map will be aborted and replayed.
  7. In other disconnect circumstances, a "last known score" may be provided (e.g. liveplay, osu! client screenshot).
  8. In the event of a disconnect replay, rosters must remain the same, barring the disconnected player should they be unable to play.
  9. Teams will have 90 seconds to pick, ban, and ready up.
  10. Referees may be loose or strict with timers at their discretion (within reason), provided the judgements are fair for both teams.
  11. When prompted, captains will !roll at the start of the match. Repeat if a tie occurs until there is a winner.
  12. The winner of the !roll will have the first choice order. e.g. they may choose to pick or ban first or second.
  13. The loser of the !roll will choose first or second on the remaining order. e.g. they may choose the ban order if the !roll winner chose the pick order.
  14. Double picks and bans are allowed.
  15. Where applicable, bans are ABBA.
Scheduling
  1. Default match times will always fall within the designated match weekend. Teams are assumed to be available on weekends.
  2. The tournament organizers reserve the right to approve or deny reschedule requests that would significantly delay a round or the tournament entirely. These will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Freemod
  1. NF is required for all players.
  2. Allowed mods are HD, HR, and EZ.
  3. The EZ mod multiplier will be 1.75x the whole tournament doing customs is too much work
  4. In a freemod map, one player must take HD or EZ. The other player must take HR or HDHR.
  5. Tiebreaker maps are freemod, but no mods are required.
