Firefox isn't at A because of Mozilla's mixed messaging. It's harsh by design because they could have been the good guys, but they aren't all that good either. Librewolf is at S because it is everything Firefox should be and then some more.Corne2Plum3 wrote:

I mean, it's unfair to pair up firefox with vivaldi who is literally closed source, at least firefox you can turn off all the settings and literally be like using librewolf, while like in vivaldi you really cant

I see. I will still stand by my original tier list, as I believe Firefox, by default, isn't much better than standard old Chrome, even though Mozilla had every reason to do so and markets itself as being more secure than what others offer. The placement of Firefox is so low because Mozilla isn't consistent with the values it pushes to its users.

this tier list is mainly based on privacy, not really speed. And idk, browser speed doesn't really matter in 2023, as a google search is more limited by your internet than anything else really, if anything, you want less useless features in a browser so it takes up less space in the hard drive and less ram, and opera GX is the opposite of thatColdTooth wrote:

I mean, there are a lot of novelty browsers like surf or w3m, but of course they suck or are neat but have limited functionality. I'm also fairly sure that ALL of them use Chromium as their engine, which there are already enough Chromium based browsers on the list. I wanted to do another tier list, but frankly, I'm too lazy. Here's the rundown:
- Firefox and Brave are my go-tos. Firefox went up on the tier list because Mozilla needs to survive somehow. Brave is my recommendation if you want a functional yet still private browser.
- Librewolf is way lower because I don't care as much about privacy. Firefox's Strict Privacy options, alongside an adblocker, do the job well enough I believe.
- Floorp is great.
- Opera and Opera GX still sucks.
- Vivaldi is alright.
- The rest are all mid.
Chrome is trying to disable ublock origin so miss me with that!
But at least it loads pages, unlike, oh god....

Edge isn't bloatware. A modern OS needs to have a browser that's actually functional pre-installed and Edge is that.
