seeming "human"

today i went shopping with a friend and there was this little kid who was smiling and looking at me so i waved hello to the kid and my friend was like "wow thats the first time ive ever seen you act human" and i was like what??

apparently i always have the same facial expression, same tone of voice, same mannerisms, etc, everything about me is the same. is that not human or something? what even counts as "human"??

I know that due to your condition, you feel like you're different, but frankly, in this case, it doesn't matter. The kid probably doesn't even know what "being human" means, because it is more than just waving and smiling back at someone. At least here, people don't sport much emotion and when they do, it's pretty obvious why. So, don't fret about this.
