i can elaborate and make concessions on what im saying here but i am still salty and puzzled by the execution of the thread-- the original post was interesting but what followed was kind of... disproportionately flippant and unconvincing, to the extent i truly doubted whether that concern was sincere at all

maybe it was. and max may have been all too familiar with the classic american childhood of school alarm drills, and cultural fixation on the people that commit to w/e theyre thinkin of doin. it couldve legitimately just been an Extremely Poor Reading of mistaken pattern recognition

...even then, idk about the premise of "being concerned" existing as entirely absolved of consequence or removed from context

what were we expected to do? are we meant to just talk about it and make it the one thing that we think of? is it ostracization you want, or a ban, or a van? was it truly just an innocent question? hard to say unless we hear more directly from max, but its over now and i will simply hope i can move on and look at max and think "lol you were so silly" and not "remember the time you did [x] and were terribly embarrassingly wrong...? pepperidge farm remembers..."

ultimately i think the onus is on me to forget and leave it alone bc from what im inferring i might be literally the one single person that cared and took it seriously, perhaps disproportionately

...i dont think i really understood what i was expecting either, given that off-topic is only sometimes the place where something would have any kind of gravity to it;;
