They don't really help out. In fact, they're the worst possible way to actually deal with this issue since you're going cold turkey and it can be extremely hard to actually keep it up, not to mention that dopamine in itself is good for you. Best you can do, IMO, is when you realize that this cycle is happening, you take a break from your computer/phone/smart bridge/whatever for 5 or so minutes where you do nothing, just focus on your breathing.
