That's actually a question that I have been thinking about for a long time, ever since I've joined this sub-forum back in 2018-2019. I still haven't found the answer. The answers I got over time all, more or less, say to be yourself and not worry about things that much, but it is hard to not do that when others get attention and praise and replies on their threads and you don't see the same success. It is demotivating and frustrating.
I would say, though, that this is the way to do it. Just be yourself and don't worry too much. At the end of the day, this is just a sub-forum. It shouldn't that important.

In general, someone shouldn't force anything to happen. I said in a reply earlier in the thread that it is best to remain yourself throughout and not worry. Getting respect and praise from a small group of people who are largely here for shitposting, with nothing really holding them, is near impossible. I don't believe anyone should put their time in this sub-forum to get respect. They very likely won't get it.Patatitta wrote:

I wanted to be in a position of cultural authority. I checked OT like a hawk for 5 years or so, missing days only in extreme circumstances. And it felt like it didn't take much effort or time to do so. I very much loved shaping the subforum and being the driving force behind most things.
