Marathon Mapspread

Alright, so Within Temptation has both each song mapped and verified as well as the album itself. As far as I can see, the marathon map actually has no alterations to it, they just had the bunch of what can be considered separately verified maps and stitched them together.
So, theoretically, what if each one of those songs had a mapspread to it? Easy, Normal, Hard, everything all verified. You could just stitch each of them together and have a technically verified album mapset, right? All the core components were verified.

I feel like just thinking about this alone has odd implications. Forget mapspread, if I went out and somehow found pre-existing maps for each song of an album, and I had permission from each mapper, would I be stopped from submitting them all stitched together, or would I be considered dishonest for that?

I'm not gifted enough or trolly enough to do anything like this, but the thought crossed my mind. I wonder, would you BNs humor that, and to what extent?

R.I.P. osu! competitionists if the response is a yes in any capacity. Imagine having to pass 5 difficulties of a 50 minute long album LUL.

you're probably free to do that if you're not interested in ranked, but if you wanted to make the map the ranked then it wouldn't be allowed. rc highly discourages reusing already ranked content to the point of being practically a rule (there's only few fringe cases allowed iirc)

agree with SaltyLucario

what op seems to be missing is that The Unforgiving was approved in 2012 so you can't use it as a reference for how anything works in today's mapping landscape
