After spending an afternoon mapping, osu doesn't let me submit the difficulty. Is it because I did it on lazer?
Anyways, I've tried Veilstar's https://osu.ppy.sh/community/forums/topics/325639?n=1 and Venix's guide but to no avail. Thanks in advance.

Did you download a map and start editing it, or you made your own map by dropping the .mp3 in osu?

If done correctly, Veilstar's guide should've resolved your problem.

Could you export the map as .osu and then upload it externally (On Google Drive or Dropbox for example)
This way we can have a look at what might be causing your problem.

I've downloaded someone's map then I made a difficulty from that map

Is is version you've uploaded before or past VeilStar's/Venix's guide?
Cause I don't see any indications that any of the guide had been applied to this set at all.
  1. Enter your name as creator. (If your name has spaces, these should actually be spaces in here.)
  2. Set the BeatmapID to 0.
  3. Set the BeatmapSetID to -1.
You changed neither the beatmap's Creator, nor did you apply the mentioned ID change to any of the files.
This is mentioned in both of the guides and would have solved your problem.

I've applied the change for you locally, on the diff you created, so it can be uploaded. (see at the bottom of this post)
Only on your diff (removed the rest): Read below why.

This in itself is ok, you can make changed and even make your own diff alongside the mapset.
But, it is against the rules to take and upload beatmaps/storyboards without their creators consent: wiki/en/Rules#beatmap-submission-rules (Rule 1 & 4 for that matter)

The background is a different story, as it's recommended to get permission from the original artist/illustrator, but permission on that is often assumed, so it's sort of a grey area.

Your diff with applied changes (can now be uploaded in-game): http://puu.sh/K5btP/24c81517eb.osz
Note: The link will deactivate itself after 2-3 months (depending on usage)

This should now solve your problem, if you have any questions or need further help, let me know.

I only changed it for my difficulty, all others are still the same. Do I have to change for all?

Regarding the illustration, both the cover art and song is made for Arcaea (another rhythm game) if you're wondering where these are from.

Thank you for the help!

It's all good now. If I want I just create more difficulties from the package jasonx sent.
