How do i get higher than D rank

hi i am a newer player to this. so far I've gotten to D rank. How do i get higher than D rank? I try to go faster but that doesn't work.

You have to hit the notes in time with the song. The better you do that, the higher your rank becomes

considering your playtime you seem really new, this game takes practice! keep playing and you'll get better with time

also going faster won't increase your accuracy, make sure to tap in time with the music as dm for mutual said, you know you're hitting in time if a blue '300' appears below the note (or if you're using a skin which hides 300s, the timing is correct if nothing appears under the note)

Not faster. Never faster, at least not by itself.

Focus on the rhythm of the map. When the notes line up to the song, how frequently the notes are coming, etc. While speed is a skill you'll need to learn at some point, going faster will only hamper you if you don't know what you're doing.

You'll get better ranks (and more pp) if you slow yourself down and focus on accuracy more. Speed can come later.
