Monitor tips for osu!

While I see many people talking about mechanical keyboard and tablets for playing osu!, still not see many people discussing about monitor characteristics like how 120hz could help reading AR11 or HR+HD, or which kind of monitor inches keeps best concentration in osu! gameplay. I've noticed I could play better in a 21.5" but 27" is more comfortable for scorefarming. The monitors I used were a LG M2762D and using as main now LG W2243S for better gameplay, both are 60hz and have a 5 ms response time. Is a gaming monitor that has 120hz worth saving the money? And what are the recommended monitor inches? Maybe this is useless talk from someone who's tired of not having a gaming monitor but I would like to hear your opinions.

I use a 120hz monitor for osu! and it's not worth the money. Having a 120hz monitor will not help your read higher AR in any way, and will only make it look smoother.

osu! is also really weird at times since I experience frequent fps drops when osu! is loading something. Didn't notice these before I got my 120hz monitor.

Your choice in monitors doesn't matter as much as your choice in peripherals would. The only thing I'd insist about monitors is that you pick something you're comfortable with. 60hz is more than enough, and the response time isn't much to worry about either, since you can adapt to that as you play by habit.

I use a 1024x768 max resolution, 15'' LCD monitor.

I do fine playing osu :3

1366x768 resolution, 11" screen here, but I play on my external monitor when I can (1440x900, 17"). Having a bigger screen will mean your eyes will have to travel more, and that's not always a good thing (however, don't go looking for the smallest screen you can find, the screen real-estate of a bigger, higher-resolution monitor will benefit you in things other than osu!).
About the refresh-rate thing, all 120Hz will do is make the game look smoother, and only if your computer can handle keeping a constant 120fps framerate. It won't really benefit your gameplay that much, and the extra smoothness would be unnoticeable by an untrained eye.

Playing with a 14" screen here with a laptop from 05, and it does the job pretty well. Currently thinking of getting an 12.5" windows convertible for school and osu!. Hopefully it's going to be big enough to play osu!. Previous comment is a bit assuring at least :)

I think things like monitors are also subjective from person to person. Things like 120 Hz can't be differentiated by everyone, so they can't take full advantage of it.

Just play with whatever is comfortable for you. :)

So putting 120hz apart, I've seen most pros using 22 inches monitors and I've noticed I could gain more pp and be more motivated to play with HR+HD / DT+HD in a smaller monitor rather than a 27". So is 22" better for being more skilled?

I don't really understand how monitor size has anything to do with skill.

people try to find all kind of different unrelated stuff to become better.
next comes questions if altitude or temperature or shit like that matters

probably it's just me getting lazy after all, keigoclear looks like he uses a 30" and he's pretty much a godly player.
