if you just play dt yeah, but you can play other things if you want
I mean, you do you at the end of the day.
You can be DT/Speed specialist (not gonna calling in one-trick to avoid negative connotations)
Or you can be more jack-of-all-trade thing in wide array of skillsets
Unfortunately, I am just at my beginning in my DT journey, so I can't advise you. Maybe break the habit of playing DT only for being farm maps and pp?

wait but i want to know what i should do to get better its not just being a dt one trick i want to be able to play long maps but my consistency is trash i just wanna be able to have good scores instead of farmingdung eater wrote:

Then strive for it. If you ever feeling tired for playing long ass map without seeing rank and pp go up, treat yourself with some TV sized DT occasionally. But otherwise, play just for the sake of enjoy playing it.JojoXD wrote:

thank you bro i just got my top play for 4th time today but now ill force myself to play longer maps and not farm anymore (only farm once in a while)
There is nothing wrong with farming. Anyways I'm going to be real: there is hardly any difference between DT and NM at your rank. To me, at least, the difference between DT and NM primarily comes in the form of high BPM and AR. Low star DT and low star NM maps tend to be much more similar than high star DT and NM maps.
from my experience, people who have a lot of dt top plays can also play different maps pretty well, its just that dt usually gives the most pp so its common on top plays.
My profile basically looks like a DT only player now. I just play maps/styles that I enjoy playing and it just so happens that the maps I am able to FC with a high Acc tend to be DT maps, and the NM plays I do either don't give enough PP to show up or are maps that I cannot FC.
As long as you're having fun playing the DT maps and not forcing yourself to play DT just to gain ranks you can keep on doing what you're doing.
