Trying to start playing with mouse so I can improve my aim and whenever I play I notice my arm slowly getting lower and lower until it reaches the bottom of my desk which messes up my gameplay since I have to move my mouse back up. What am I doing wrong?

your sensitivity is probably too low

You need to adjust your mouse position to keep it centered as you play.

Instead of constantly changing your sens, try playing your current sens for a few weeks. If it is good, then keep the sens.

If you're on windows, make sure that "enhanced pointer precision" in your mouse settings is off.

im bad at mouse but here are some things i notice myself doing
- whenever you get a break (whether its an actual break, spinner, or slow slider) lift your mouse up and place it back down in a comfortable position
- if your mouse is drifting out, hold it more sideways so it'll drift to the side instead down, hopefully letting you combo until the next break

might also be this

as a mouse player that has been playing for 2 and a half years, mouse drift is something that you will naturally learn how to counter/figure out. Countering mouse drift is done by adjusting, adjusting is when you adjust your mouse to its usual position/comfortable position.

this is something you will learn naturally, playing long maps with very minimal breaks will help you in improving on adjusting. At my current skill my hand automatically adjust my mouse in the middle of playing even without breaks, I literally don't even need to think about it.

Being a mouse player is too complicated, just become a tablet player like us 🙏

Good advice. Training on long maps is a good way to train mouse drift. If forces you to learn how to adjust

Is it possible to not have mouse drift at all btw?

Just use a mablet

No, it's not actually a meme, people have done this.
Wacom even had a tablet in the past that used mouse instead of a pen controller (Wacom Intuos 3)

as a mouse player, this is pretty much the most disrespectful thing you can ever do to a mouse.

I would say that Mablet players are worse than even tablet players because they tarnish the holiness of mouse by using them as a pen for tablet without actually experiencing the effects of playing with mouse.

Almost all drift is caused by mouse rotation. This graphic shows how the drift happens

If you never rotate your mouse then you will experience almost no drift.

The remaining drift is due to sensor inaccuracy (which is too small to matter).

Ouhhh alright it's the rotation in general

Well, I use a fingertip grip with a high sensitivity for my mouse so I almost never get mouse drifts anyway
