uhhh
is it possible to get under 2.5ms input delay ?

set your frame rate to unlimited 0.39-0.5 ms delay for me

depends on pc, yes, ppl had less than 0.5 ms 10 years ago

I have a shitty PC but my average input delay is 1.2ms with unlimited and without any useless skin animation

(0.7ms during breaks in the middle of a play)

i mean
i have a shitty pc too
and still i can only get like 2.1-2.0ms (gameplay) with unlimited framerate on idfk
(0.x during breaks as well)

Ofc. Even without dedicated GPU on my laptop, I can get 1.2 - 1.8ms latency if it set to unlimited frames. Your mileage may vary

One thing you could do is optimize the sh*t out of your windows

I had a macbook 2015 with a I5-5250u and I was able to get like 5 - 1 ms playing 5 star hr jumps

I would recommend to use cpu if you use laptop screen then gpu if you have a monitor for the lowest input latency

Correct me if I’m wrong

1. If you guys are talking about the number below your FPS, it's not your input delay, it's the time between each frame. It's basically just another way of representing your FPS (although I guess you can kinda think of it as part of your input delay).

2. Damn my laptop is shittier than I thought lol, I'm not sure if I've ever seen it go below 2.5ms. I remember that it used to be a lot worse, but I guess osu had some good updates or something because it's gotten better without me doing anything.

had around 10-5 ms for a while after i started before i figured out just how bad it is lmao

I'm not sure why mines lower than yours is but yes it is. Mines at 1.5ms but don't ask me how lol, I use wireless stuff to which is odd considering those devices have larger delays.

Try lowering resolution, i went from 9ms (2.8k) to 1ms (720p). Also igpus tend to have better latency in my experience. My vega 5 performs better than my rtx 3050
