Some modding action.

[General]:
  1. I am not really a kiai fan and I like to see more mapsets without it, however I suggest kiai time: 02:29:019 - 02:53:016. It's the final chorus and the culmination of the song and placing it here would give a more epic feel.
[yami]:
  1. Maybe just rename to Hard? 2 Hards are allowed, and it's not really an insane map (even with AR8).
  2. 00:29:784 (5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13) - Maybe use a normal soundset for these? (we talked about other stuff like this on irc atleast)
  3. 00:53:031 - Add a note with a finish and start the spinner 1/4 later?
  4. 01:04:280 (5,6,7) - Use normal sounds here? Beats.
  5. 01:10:654 (4) - This clap felt out of place. Either remove it or add it around in this section where it would fit, like this one does.
  6. 01:15:341 + 01:15:434 - Add 2 notes with whistles on top of the next slider? (and fix spacing a little) Follows the voice better, which you are doing here already.
  7. 01:17:028 (1) - Use normal set for the slider end and the next note? Beats.
  8. 01:23:402 (5) - Clap on start.
  9. 01:23:777 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - Normal set for these? (might have to remove the whistles though)
  10. 02:34:268 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - ^
  11. 02:56:578 (5) - Don't like this slider because (in my opinioin) more important music line got discarded. What I suggest is that you map a circle on it's spot, and then map a repeater at 02:56:765 which would repeat at 02:57:047 and return at 02:57:328 (which means discarding that circle on the last spot). Don't forget to place whistles on the slider.

  2. Almost all timing sections are not snapped to the timeline ticks. Not a huge issue, however it would be nice to fix, especially if you decide to use custom claps like I described below (and the suggested kiai time).
  3. AR-1. Feels much nicer.
  4. 00:12:542 (1) - Remove new combo. (for consistency, or add it to 00:09:542 (6) if you think you really need a NC here, I don't think you do though)
  5. 00:18:166 (5) - New combo. (look at 02:04:277 (1)) Although I suggest you use it on (4) here instead actually (and one note earlier over there).
  6. 00:36:914 (1) - Remove this new combo, or place it on 00:36:539 (3) instead. It makes more sense because of the vocals. Also fix the spacing a little (lolnazi :D), so 1 grid right or something.
  7. 01:11:035 (2) - Finish on start?
  8. 01:17:034 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - Use normal hitsounds for these? (you used it here 02:53:584 (1,2,3,4,5,6)) Also for consistency swap to normal for some notes after just like you did at the end if you can.
  9. 01:18:534 - Use soft custom set instead? Regular soft claps don't fit the song in the slightest bit imo. :D This also affects the rest of the map where the claps were used.
  10. 01:34:844 (3) - Maybe remove finish? Or use a whistle instead.
  11. 01:58:653 (1) - Don't think you really need this new combo, but up to you, it's not a bad reason to place it here but it screws with the hpdrain (although only a little, extra 5mm on the hpbar is not that meaningful).
  12. 02:11:027 (2) - Finish on start?
  13. 02:50:397 - This hole kinda confused me. Add a note with a clap. Sounds better too.
  14. 03:01:833 - Place this timing section right on the slider end. Lowering the volume here is a little weird if you spin lots of bonus.

  6. 02:23:020 - Don't need this SV change.
  7. 02:59:015 - Add a note with a finish and start the spinner after it instead?

Amazing song. Nothing more to add. Probably not necessary to remove the unused timing sections, but if you want your mapset clean... :p

  1. Timing is ever-so-slightly early I think. I'd go with +4 on the current offset: (I got offset: 534)

Not sure how it got this star rating. feels like it should be higher

On the whole, it feels pretty solid. My only real quiff is that even though it isn't that fast, there are not many little breaks inbetween beats, there are constant beats for large sections of the map which can be troublesome for a new player, which it's aimed at of course, having to readjust their hand and such. parts like from 00:19:284 - 01:02:034 there is always something the player must hit, with breaks no bigger than a single 1/1. Perhaps you could create a few little gaps for players to readjust their grip and recover in these long sections? (I'd suggest breaking up the parts with constant hitcircles, as in things like 01:54:909 (2,3,4)).

And one other little thing:
00:05:034 (1) - This slider felt odd with the flow, how the song starts to pick up halfway through this slider. feels a little odd. I would suggest removing the repeat so it ends on that slider end. Nothing big though, just bugged me.

[NORMAL]

And same with this difficulty's star rating. Feels like a 3+ star map to me :P

This is a nice 'n' fun difficulty. Does feel a bit hard for a normal difficulty though, but it's nice 'n' fun so you can't really argue. It's not so hard it might as well be a hard though, and the short-ishspacing helps somewhat. (even if it's quite close. those 1/2 rhythms are quite nasty for this kind of difficulty), and settles well in the difficulty spread. In that case, I'll let it slide. and apart from that, nothing really bothered me.

[KURAI]

00:02:780 (1,2) - I see why you made these sliders come in earlier/later than they should, for the symmetrical pattern, and since they're sliders they can be hit, but it still doesn't sit too well, and sound odd. Perhaps you could rearrange these in another pattern that hits those music cues better? (I'm assuming they're intentional here. If they aren't, the first slider ends a bit early, and the second slider starts early).

Apart from that though, lookin' good. Nicely done and fun to play to boot.

[YAMI]

I had great fun with this difficulty, Really nice. I'm pretty happy with how it is now0, so nothing to report really, apart from one little hitsound I noticed:
00:52:092 (2 2) - shouldn't there be a clap on the slider end? Think you missed that one D:

Looks solid from a technical standpoint. looks like a solid taiko difficulty too even though it isn't exactly up my street with it's patterns. But that's just me and my opinion though. Looks alright.

Very nice. the easier difficulties are a little on the hard side, but not so far that they don't feel like their respective difficulties. Perhaps a bit of tuning could be done here and there to perfect it, but on the whole they're solid, and the harder difficulties are very nice. I really enjoyed those. A nice, solid map you got here.
