Pros: Amazing song + vocals. Cons: Can't understand the lyrics that we forget that some songs are depressing but we're too busy bopping our heads. --- Modern technology.
Pros: Be able to make maps of any song you like; satisfaction of people playing your maps Cons: Hard to improve/learn especially as a newer/casual mapper, can take months/years to be able to make something rankable, takes a lot of time to make a full spread
Pros: You don't have to wake up early for school, or get on the bus/drive in a car. Cons: You have to reconfigure the idea that your house is a school, and you can't relax all day. Plus you still have to drive every now and then to a building for a semester/quarter test.
Jitter clicking / Tensing up your arm to vibrate it in order to click considerably faster.
pros: ease of exploration with music. something to absorb yourself in. potentially wonderful pockets of the community.
cons: history of volatile discourse with mapping standards and game systems. unsurprising precedent of unhealthy competition to the player's detriment. potentially unsafe pockets of the community.
i've forgotten a lot of my time here in osu!, so i can't claim to have any particularly well-encompassing perspective on what actually qualifies as a pro or con... and most of the potential cons tend to apply more to pretty well-expected facets of gaming and respectively common elements of communities and player behaviors in general.
