No one's gonna be pro at skinning in just an instant. Skinning is a pretty time-consuming task. You can find RockRoller's skinning tutorial here. It's still in development but at least it has plenty of resources to start with.

As Zelzatter said, you should read my tutorial and not totally sure if I said this in the tutorial, but my biggest tip is: "Consistency is key". This goes for colours, alignment, text sizes and basically everything else
