how long would you consider going from 3.5* to 4* beatmaps
i already know the question, but i would like to know your answer for that kinda of question i am asking.

*why i am asking this question?,if you know the question why borther asking?*

the reason i am asking to see how far you made it and improving and improving bits by bits
and how challaging it was for you.

well for me it took mme a few months where i am now, because when i started to play osu mania 4k
my idiot self decidied to stop a lot of times and i really do regret that, now i am thinking
Ska
also a month here, either way it depends on the person so it doesnt matter much

edit:
b just noticed I read the question wrong, 1 month gap from when I started playing to 4*, but specifically 3.5* to 4* is such a small gap that the star rating is especially useless to judge things

you should prolly just be playing a lot of different stuff instead of focusing on a small pool of maps if you really want to improve

Took me a few months. Spent a lot of time just being frustrated on 3.5* maps. But once I decided to just stop focusing so much on one section of osu!mania, and instead broadening my horizons, I found myself growing at a near-exponential rate, if not a much faster rate than when I was just playing 3.5* maps.

I really struggled with this because I refused to play a variety of maps. We had a little circle at my school and we couldn't stop playing 3.89* oshama scramble. That really set us back because the best scores we could get were high 80s or low 90s. I think I have some 300 attempts logged on my profile from that song alone, and this created a huge mindblock and nobody in the circle was able to progress much. Finally I got an A on the song and decided to do over with it. Found out about PP farming and played other songs like Triumph and Regret and Rave Boy, which boosted my confidence as I finally beat a 4* map. It took around three months but I slowly started beating 4* maps, and after not playing Oshama Scramble I finally S-ed it.

Blue are B rank, Green are A rank, Yellow are S rank. Oshama Scramble at the end was a hidden S rank so the color is funky

Really shows how playing a song over and over again is extremely damaging to improvement. Also how PP maps can help motivate you to play and boost your confidence, even though it makes you overconfident of your skill.

I'd go check out some training map packs/Stepmania converts. It's important to build a repertoire of patterns that are common at this skill level.
