hmm.

it mostly seems the best defense for why these threads could be locked may be "low-effort", but i don't really see much of any other reason.

if imagination were made manifest...

Mods are lock hungry vicious beings. They need to throw their locks somewhere. Intro subforum is doomed to die anyway, so that's a great playground for them.
