I'm pretty much new to tablet and still getting used to it. Now I'm well aware that this may take some time for a lot of people and I accept that and am 'playing more'
Yet I can't let go of this nagging feeling that I'm doing something wrong. I had a 2x1 inch tablet area at first and my aim sucked on that.

I naturally assumed that it's because I'm still getting used to it. However, even after 4 days now, It hasn't improved a single bit.

For this reason, I lowered my tablet area today and guess what? Instant improvement. Now, I'm well aware of the fact that smaller areas can kill your accuracy when it comes to higher star maps (I'm playing 4* and low 5* rn). I know it depends completely on me whether I'm able to do higher star maps with this small tablet area but still I'd like to hear your opinion on this, and I'm sure a discussion on this topic can benefit a lot of other people as well.

Additional Information : I played with 1750 DPI 1x sens on Mouse so I'm used to "Less Hand Movement = More Cursor Movement"

10x6.25 for screen, play area maybe 8x6ish not sure exactly.

Assuming people have forced proportions, you just need to know the vertical measure.

112mm x 63 mm play area

I'd like it just a little smaller for fullscreen 6*/7* jumps, but I'm used to this.

Changing it would throw off muscle memory, and I don't want to bother.

I suggest you to slowly increase the area as you are getting used to tablet. A lot of people start with a very small area since you have to move your hand less and it feels less awkward. However, the bigger area generally means more accuracy given enough practice.

I'm currently settled on 3.5 x 2-inch area (been using this for more than half a year), but in the past, I tried everything from half an inch to 5 inches wide
