I've been playing for a while, but I have been avoiding the chat and community because of my inferiority complex, but now I have jumped into the community and everyone is using terminology I don't understand like SV, Jacks and Trills. I don't understand any of it and can't find anything that can help me learn it.

SV - scroll velocity
Jacks - notes repeating in the same column quickly

so double trills go across 3 columns and triple trills go across 4?

osu!mania has its own terminology for a lot of things that typically wouldn't be said else where, you'll just have to ask around about those, or ask them here and ill help you if i can

SV actually came from the standard mode term Slider velocity because you make SVs the same way in both modes.
