The timing I chose is one that allows for most the song to be timed somewhat decently, I'm not going to change the bpm of the song constantly because that's a ball ache to play, especially when this song goes from 160 bpm, to around 190 in the end, and has some parts that change to a 5/4 timing. The 210 let me map it without wanting to kill myself, it also keeps it at a constant speed.Incendent wrote:
Ok, so I've been trying to mod your map, and I must say, you have chose a nightmare of a song to map.
First off, all of your timing points are way off. Not that I blame you, the song is hard to time, but it doesn't even seem like you tried to properly time the map, like, the bpm is around 160 in some areas where you have the bpm set to 210.
I took a shot at timing it, and I did some timing points in the beginning, as well as some timing points in the middle, this whole song is just awkwardly timed in general, so you chose a really hard song to map.
Here are the new timing points that I've placed for you (Keep in mind that I didn't time a few things and that the beginning is most likely wrong.Osu. NotepadTiming Points

I did this after I attempted to mod your map.
Here is the actual mod.
00:00:310 Snap this note to white line. Also, I understand your mapping intent, but I'm letting you know it feels weird to play.
00:33:418 this sounds just like the other single, so this should be a single as well. Hit, bass, bass hit
00:34:559 same thing here, I get that it's fun to play, but still. It feels like you are mapping and ignoring the percussion at the same time.
There are a lot of those, and I'm not gonna do this for a full 9 minutes, sorry xD
Although I can't let some things slide.
00:47:107 why are the bass noes triples, while the snares are doubles? the bass is quieter, meaning LESS emphasis. Please fix this.
(And yes, I"m talking about multiple sections like this, please listen to the drum sounds)
00:50:529 at the very least, make this one a double, that's justifiable.
00:52:810 this double confuses me, there isn't even drums here, why is this a double, stick with your swing style.
01:00:971 this whole LN section is very awkward and weird, I think it just needs to be remapped, although I can see why it's hard to map. I've played it and honestly, it doesn't play very well for me. But hey, that's my personal opinion, it's up to you.
01:44:211 again, listen to the drums, the song will tell you what to accent. (I did say I was going to stop pointing these out, but I feel like it's necesarry.)
02:04:886 this shouldn't be a double note.
02:09:307 what happened to the swing style here? You keep changing mapping styles a lot (And I'm only 2 minutes in)
(So I'm just letting you know that this map needs a LOT of work. If I was you, I'd get someone to time it first. that's always a priority.)
I feel bad for being so strict so immediately, but I do honest work, I try not to sugar coat things, and as it is right now, I can't see it being ranked.
Also, about that M4M, I'll just go ahead and call this a NM, you don't need to mod my map, you have a lot of work on your own stuff to get done. Don't worry about my stuff!
I changed the first note to a white line like you said, it does feel better, ty.
The two notes at 33:418 and 34:559 are a bass note with a cymbal, which is why I made it a double note. This is also the case for rest of the similar situations, I made sure to be mostly accurate with the drum sounds unless it made the song cancer to play.
I'll redo some of the triples and doubles at 47 seconds and so on, you make a good point and looking back idk why I did that.
I was also unhappy with the LN section at 1 minute, was thinking about just mapping the guitar and dropping the background sounds to save awkwardness, what do you think?
1:44:211, changed it to a double note, ty.
2:04:886, changed to a single.
2:09:307, I keep changing what parts are mapped and the style throughout to try and keep it fresh, its a long song that has a few repetitive parts that I wanted to break away from at points and highlight more prominent parts, like the end of an interesting riff or another instrument etc. Personally I enjoy this more as it feels like it doesn't drone on.
I appreciate the strictness, I feel it's better to be blunt sometimes, and thanks for the NM, I'll be working on this.
Also, idk what that notepad is with "timing points", I'm guessing it's the new notes you placed, but I'm new to modding etc and have no idea what to do with it.
