00:05:161 (5,6,7,8,9) - this sequence ends abruptly, as the guitar continues on until the white tick! consider extending the phrase somehow
You're right, there should be another note after this00:59:454 (7) - angle slider up to flow better into stream jump, this creates a big difference for flow:
before -
http://puu.sh/k15gb/01de5523dc.jpgafter -
http://puu.sh/k15le/eb45418725.jpgyou can get away with bigger angles the farther away the stream jump is, but this close this change improves the flow by quite a bit imo
Fixed01:03:204 (5,6,7) - i might be crazy but there is something very slightly off about this triplet, its not perfectly straight
Looks straight to me, but i might be crazy too01:11:926 (8,1) - spacing change between these two notes makes the next pattern look a little disjointed, make consistent (this occurs throughout the map and is a nitpick, imo it makes things look rough around the edges but it's a case by case basis on whether you should change it! be sure to look through as I won't list the other examples of this happening)
Fixed this one for now, I'll look for more later01:23:503 (6,7) - these will benefit from hitsounding
Will do hitsounding later but I'll come back to this when I do01:42:661 (4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11) - tidy up to be more defined in it's curves, same spacing just adjust the second half so it's less muddled
Fixed it as best as I could01:47:878 (6,7) - i like this but it looks kind of messy, consider changing placement/sliders, keep the rhythm because it's good!
Talked about this irc, keeping this one but decided to fix the other 01:53:748 (1) to 02:04:182 (7) - pure sex i have no idea why this isn't kiai because it's so good and climatic
I'll consider this later, though I agree it's really intense, it isn't the main chorus of the song so I'm not sure whether or not its okay to kiai it or not right now02:04:346 (8) - NC
02:05:161 (1) - no NC
02:05:487 (4) - NC
Fixed~02:14:454 (3) - delete
02:14:536 (1) - move one tick back, leaving a gap between these stream and the next, will improve flow by 100000000x here to have that 1 tick gap
like this:
http://puu.sh/k16lZ/36a93306e8.jpgyou will want to change the placement of the slider to compensate
Deleted two notes before and added one note to the next stream on the big white tick since there is a huge emphasize there02:24:074 (1,2,3) - this is completely your personal choice, but consider making this less of a neat pattern/more spaced to emphasize the start of kiai
example not final:
http://puu.sh/k16wY/66cadb2db9.jpgYou are completely right, these notes can be way more spaced since they aren't 1/4 notes anyway02:25:052 (4) - NC
Fixed02:26:682 (8,9,10) - this one isn't straight! more curved if you wanted it to be curved, or fix to be straight!
Fixed02:28:720 (7,8) - after all those triples, i think these should extend out from the slider rather than being stacked to the end of it, just my opinion
I like this how it is, gonna keep it for now02:37:117 (8,9,10) - see 2:26
Fixed!02:40:867 (2,3) - i like this feel, but it looks a little messy with the two straight sliders, consider changing to make more appealing somehow
Changed it slightly, hopefully it feels better02:45:922 (1,1,1,1) - these are troll as fuck holy moly they are juuuuuuust small enough to not break, consider altering but if that was your intention then keep on keeping on
It actually was my intention, but depending on what feedback I get I am considering making the sliders slightly smaller for it to be easier not to break02:48:530 (2) - NC
Fixed!02:48:530 (2) to 03:02:878 (9) - this will be a lot better with hitsounds
Yup, will be getting to it later03:09:808 (2) - this placement feels really unnatural to play into the stream and looks a little odd imo
Yes you're right, fixed03:11:030 (1) - remove note and adjust, add claps and listen careful and you can hear it fits better without the note (not to mention it flows a lot better)
I don't think the stream should start on the blue tick and I do hear a note there but I extended the note before it into a kick slider, hopefully that improves the flow03:13:965 (4) - NC
Fixed!OK, major hitch
The Solo Section: 03:13:965 (4) to 04:04:835 (1)
this entire section of map is different from the rest because it has very inconsistent flow + buildup + overall difficulty! I understand that throughout the beginning sections, you want to include a small "rest" for the player which is understandable, but it feels as if this rest kind of spirals out of control and the epic solo that sounds like it should be incredibly fun to play kind of becomes the back drop to 1/1 notes before being thrust into triplets again (nothing against the triplets of course, the triplet parts of the solo are well mapped imo and fitting)! now, this is so outlined because directly after the solo is arguably the best part of the whole map, the perfect low spacing building up stream jumps (starting at 04:08:748 (1) -), which feel 10x more satisfying to play then the kickass solo the song just exited. with changes to the solo, the feel of the map will greatly improve imo and definitely flow a lot better into the conclusion
ok, to start after that huge disclaimer: this is your break section, it's already in there
02:48:530 (2) to 03:02:878 (9) - this is 15 seconds of no effort to play basically, it recharges the player, and the following 15ish seconds is a nice buildup, preparing the player to tab back in mentally and prepare for more streaming, which means it's ok to throw them some difficulty in the upcoming solo!
into the actual solo!
everything until 03:21:465 (3,4,5,6) is fine, consider it an extension of the easing out of break section as mentioned before
03:21:465 (3,4,5,6) - i think this is undermapped and could be a stream or even 1/4 sliders, configure the jumps after accordingly if you change this
Good point, I tried mapping this as a stream now03:24:237 (2,3,4,5) - i like this buildup
Thank you !03:25:052 (1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3,1,2,3) - the notes are fine, but these patterns (the uniform up down up down nature of the placement of the notes) isn't fitting to the sound of the music imo, i'd recommend making the placement more 'hectic', switching it up, maybe messing with the spacing, anything to make it just super exciting and climatic! this goes for the other mirrored versions of this pattern in the same triples segment too
Will fix this later!03:32:878 (5) - change to fast stream, keep intensity so that the player doesn't fall asleep, because at the moment this section is a real flow breaker when all the flow from that exciting triplets segment could be preserved
I believe you mean slider since there is no stream at all here. Other people have recommended sliders here too so I'll go for that!03:33:367 (1,1,1) - same as above, your judgement of how exactly you configure/shape the sliders but i think that would improve the section
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^03:34:835 (2) - there is no note here, but i'm using this as a marker, you should put a 5 stream (4stream leading into a slider most likely) here to match the song rather than leaving it empty, it goes with the sliders as well
Yupwhat was listed for 03:33:367 (1,1,1) applies to the whole section before the it opens up into the guitar riff
Yup03:37:443 (1) - ok so this appeared to me to be the major offender of the undermapping the solo when i initially played, and i understand why you wouldn't want to put a stream here due to the massive lack of flow coming into it, but if you change the section before it, you can afford to put a crazy, winding stream that changes spacing here because that's honestly what would fit the song to a tee! play around with it and see what you come up with, i'm sure you can make something super exciting to go here
Not even gonna lie, I put that as singles as a filler and i 100% forgot to come back to it03:45:269 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - no complaints here as this is heavily needed under the consideration that you change the previous section, this break would be highly cherished after the high intensity 30 or so seconds of map before it
okie dokie!03:50:731 (6) - move this to here for flow imo, take or leave this:
http://puu.sh/k19c2/e547da0a43.jpg maybe even farther to the left? wide not tall imo
Done!03:52:933 (2) - NC
Fixed!04:03:367 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1) - these feel kinda random, maybe change it to match the guitar rhythm like the rest of the solo to avoid it seeming out of place? (the blue tick rhythm of the guitar, would provide a nice break heading into spinner too)
Fixed!04:04:835 (1) - #broccolyspinner
sdguhasdfg04:18:041 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - wait a gosh darn second you're not completely straight mr stream (i think its note 4 thats off)
Mr stream confirmed homosexual, abandoned him and remapped04:19:346 (8) - NC
04:20:161 (1) - no NC
04:20:487 (4) - NC
Fixed!04:21:465 (1,2,3) and 04:22:117 (6,7,8) - are curved slightly, not sure if intentional but if not please fix!
Fixed!04:45:432 (2,3) - i understand why these and the other examples of this i pointed out are placed like this, but it looks just a lil odd when it's only the two and they're angled as they are
RemappedOkay so this might seem a little big of a statement but it basically underlines the issues that will come up around this part of the map (also i know it's partially under construction so i know some of it isn't final):
04:51:465 (1,2,3,4) - these do not feel good, in no instance do they feel satisfying to play, or feeling like the fit the note from a playing perspective! when you play this, you're essentially playing doubles with a longer note over something that's sounds like a triple and is supposed to be a triple, which is negative feedback to the player and causes them to miss and generally just isn't a good time
you can literally make all of those triplets and it'll be okay! don't be afraid to base this entire part of the map around triplets, i'm just you can find ways to map it so it doesn't feel stale, don't be afraid of the triplet spam
Yes I pretty much was afraid of straight out triplet spam but I will see what I can do here05:16:411 (1,2) - above
^^^^^^aaaaaaaaaaaaaand done!
