overall the rhythm is kinda bland comparing to what the song offers for top and the extra. most of the map utilizes exclusively 1/2 circles and sliders in parts that emphasize 1/1. not only that but the hexgrid structure of the entire map (topdiff) makes it really monotonous to play since there's no variation in patterning. it's all the same stuff so yea

- 00:05:455 (1,2) - 00:08:022 (1,2) - could be 1/2 due to lack of the snare on 00:06:899 - and doing that consistently would make for some nicer variation in rhythm
- 00:08:985 (6,7,1,2,3) - spacing here is suddenly super low despite having way more spacing for the same sounds 00:06:739 (1,2,3,4,5,6) -
- 00:56:471 (6,1) - 1 gets barely any emphasis since it's symmetrical to 6 even though it is the start of a new downbeat. the problem with this now is due to the hexgrid structure i have no idea where you would move this in order to me
- 01:08:664 (3,4,5,6) - the hai-hai-hai doesn't get emphasized here through the map despite your hitsounds even following it which seems really weird..

- 00:58:717 (3,4) - not sure why this is 1/2 when the emphasis is on the 1/1.. this applies for a lot of the map tbh I mean a lot of the cases there's places where there's both a guitar and drum sound stressed around where i have 00:58:717 (3) - and 00:59:038 (5) - currently, in addition the vocals feel more intense where they are, hence why I use a smaller jump for 4 to set up a larger jump, making the last part of the vocal verse feel a bit more emphasized (3 isn't emphasized nearly as much as 5 because the vocals are still going, while for 5 the vocals take a brief pause on the 1/2 red tick) so yeah

I'm sure you meant to do it but I don't really know why since it doesn't really provide nice variation especially considering 00:09:466 (2) - which has a snare on it is mapped the same way as 00:05:455 (1,2,3) - which doesn't have that snare

I understand that but in accordance with the song this ends up feeling very bland and doesn't really follow it that much. Like, 01:14:760 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1) - is just filler jumps.. since the vocals start on 01:15:081 - making 01:14:760 (1,2) - a slider would fit more. I also understand that there is a constant bagpipe noise in the bg but is mapping jumps to this spacing really representative of the background instruments' intensity? That and the only time 1/1+ gaps are ever used are in the slow parts 00:36:257 - so playing the rest of the map actually feels like just mindlessly tapping to a metronome and that isn't very engaging at all.

The rhythm repeats in 4 measures which is not a lot 00:05:455 - to 00:15:723 - which is only like 10 seconds, the map is short . The rhythm is not so simple as in 4 circles then a slider and repeat that rhythm x times, but seems to be complex enough not to be that boring. Using variation in this will simply contradict the bagpipes which is the main thing the mapper is following, you don't want to end a slider on a layer you're priorotizing.
+making it consistent here makes the parts where the vocals get added more emphasized and different like 00:21:979 (1,2,3,4,5) - .
01:09:626 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1) - later in the map, he still emphasized the vocals making them standout that much more since its different from the usual rhythm, although vocals are emphasized with spacing, maybe a bit bigger jump can work better.
So really its just 10 seconds of no real variation on somewhat complex 1/2 rhythm in the map which the mapper uses as sweet contrast to when there's an actual change in the song. Considering that nowadays people copy paste the rhythm of the whole map over and over again, 10 seconds is nothing tbh, especially if its not the most generic of rhythms while it serves as nice contrast to actual changes in the song.

there are some more where it might be nice, but they aren't as important
you have drum finish on some of these, but I think the cymbal hs is more important than the rather quiet drum hitsound

What I'm referring to is not remapping at all, I'm merely suggesting more 1/2 sliders to break up the constant 1/2 clicking rhythm that persists throughout these 10 seconds. All of those parts in the song equate to roughly 22% of the song itself so 1/2 clicking the same rhythm for 22% of the map seems really monotonous.

Possible ways to input some variation without changing the core of what is being followed:
- 00:05:455 (1,2) - 1/2 slider for all of these to emphasize the downbeat and start off the bagpipe noise.
- 00:09:626 (3,4,5) - 00:14:760 (3,4,5) - ctrl+g this rhythm so there's emphasis on the 1/1 finishes of the drums. Still follows the bagpipes due to being majorly 1/2 rhythm.
Again, the point of this is not to remap it's just to rearrange some patterns to accommodate for slightly different rhythm. If you want to discuss this tomorrow or whenever I'm always free to be PM'd (referring to Neoskylove).

miscounted, i think i was counting measures not instances of rhythm lol
