[Beginner]

great for 3 year olds  Meow

00:37:884 (1) - This slider is perfect  ur perfect

[Renumi Beginner]

ok

[Easy]

00:10:124 (1,2) - blanket lol  k
00:22:661 - these bell sounds only happen here so you could do this to make it stand out!! - http://puu.sh/xgJPV/2bdc1beed0.jpg (basically split up 00:21:765 (3) - to circle + 1/1 slider) Good idea but idk Ima just keep main rhythm here.
00:57:586 (4) - this slider is perfect  ur perfect

[Gero Easy]

ok

[Novice]

00:07:437 (3,4,1) - clean up spacing a .05 difference is noticeably visually  u right
00:08:332 - so noisy :( quieter hitsound pls? Nop because quiet hitsounds are laaaaAAme
00:22:213 - I don't think a slider bounce is enough for this. I'd map it out. Mapping the main rhythm so I figured I'd include this at least.
00:58:034 - Again, pls map. You do red tick rhythm earlier so why not here? Done

[Normal]

00:10:124 (2,3) - This particular overlap looks kinda ugly to me, cos its only overlapping the sliderborder which is (puke) Looks fine to me not sure what else to do

[Advanced]

ok

[ezek hard]

ok

[Noffy Hard]

00:08:332 - noisy hitsound :( See above. Im keeping the tick tock consistent throughout the whole song.

[Hard]

00:14:601 (3) - This shape is kinda ugly to me lol, guess its alright tho  Changed.

[Atsuro hyper]

The slowdown thing is cool.

Spacing overall feels a bit weird to me. Please see Nozhomi's mod and respond to him because I agree with his points.

[Rainy]

00:02:288 - these slider tails are super noisy to me. I think you should reduce the volume for them. TBH whatever hitsound 00:06:542 (10)'s tail has just use that lol  muted alllllll the slider tails

Call me when everyone is respond
God bless you.

Waiting on Atsuro!! ouo b
Atsuro
Oh i didnt answer to nozhomi's mod, i literally remade the map in answer to that, making it more consistent (with the same concept and ideas)
Izzywing
@Atsuro Alright, fair enough.

Generally I feel like patterns could do more with what the music provides. ex: 00:07:437 - is clearly a more pronounced sound than 00:06:989 - but the spacing is the same due to the geometric pattern.

Also this diff feels inconsistent in parts with similar music having big changes in the patterns, like 00:11:019 (4,5,6,7) - has a spaicng increase to 5 when 00:27:138 (1,2,3,4) - has it to 3 when the music doesn't really justify such a change.

A neat diff in terms of its construction but I think these issues warrant further discussion. All of this being said it's not THAT bad so I may be fine with bubbling given a good response.

Having an increase in spacing just doesnt feel right to me because, while it's more pronounced, it's not really a strong note that warrants a big change (contrary to this one 00:08:780 (6) - ). Having the slow slider i think is enough to represent this properly i think

Also this diff feels inconsistent in parts with similar music having big changes in the patterns, like 00:11:019 (4,5,6,7) - has a spaicng increase to 5 when 00:27:138 (1,2,3,4) - has it to 3 when the music doesn't really justify such a change. It's not the same part exactly, this 00:27:138 - would be the same notes as 00:12:810 - and, while those are sliders, it gives the same notes the most emphasis. 00:11:019 (4,5,6,7) - These are the same as 00:25:347 (3,4,5,6) - which are placed in a similar way (jump on the second note and same spacing on last three). All said i did find some inconsistencies that i ended up fixing (00:18:183 (4,5,6,7) - this aa)

A neat diff in terms of its construction but I think these issues warrant further discussion. All of this being said it's not THAT bad so I may be fine with bubbling given a good response.
Thanks!

so apparently qats dont like this

this should be fun.

Summary of discussion I had with most of the qats

1) There's an issue brought up that the lower diffs are redundant; as in, the design of the lower diffs don't differ enough to warrant their existence.

2) I believe nobody said that it isn't inherently unrankable as is, but most agreed it didn't seem very reasonable.

Thoughts? Obviously given my star I think the spread should be fine but I can see the arguments against it.

As No Title has the same extra at least more than twice.

2) I believe nobody said that it isn't inherently unrankable as is, but most agreed it didn't seem very reasonable. With the huge growth of million gd spreads I can see why this is getting annoying. But I made this before those were popular sheerly because I wanted to give people as many ways to enjoy the song, as it is my absolute favorite from this whole series.

Thoughts? Obviously given my star I think the spread should be fine but I can see the arguments against it.
Irreversible
My point of view on that is like... is it really necessary? It does seem really redundant in most of the cases. Obviously, there can be the argument as to "why do you need so many extras?" But imo that's something else, because people most of the times have different styles, which is actually hard to say in those easy diffs.

You could deifnitely ditch some of the very first diffs, because I do not see too much benefit of having so many similar diffs.
Beginner really does not offer a lot, apart from the sliders which follow the music in an interesting way, but this can be found in Easy as well, for example.

If you could elaborate on what exactly makes each diff unique, then please go ahead and I might be able to see your point of view!

Hi! Personally I can understand the whole can get a bit redundant thing but when you mention the sliders, the siders in beginner do follow the rhythm the same way the sliders in easy do, but the difference is that easy is more dense than beginner, so they're theoretically, while alike, not the same. Additionally in Maps like reols no title there are several Difficulties that follow the exact same rhythm, and if not the exact same, very close. But if you would like me to add some more rhythmic variation in my personal difficulties so that way the guesy difficulties can stand out a bit more I can definitely do that so let me know what you'd like.
Irreversible
The more we can agree on a compromise, the better. So if you could do things to fix the problem as good as possible, then that's the best solution!

I advise against comparing to other mapsets though, cuz we look at this mapset how it is right now, and not how 300 other mapsets were or currently are (at which you should state your opinion immediately, if you find something).

Okay, so would you say it would be better to have more unique patterns on my diffs to help the gds feel more different/unique?

General
  1. Check soft-hitwhistle.wav, seems it might have a small delay
Easy
  1. 01:03:407 (1) - feels a little on the short end, could you snap it to the 1/4 before for a little extra time?
Gero's Easy
  1. 00:18:183 (2) - Shape feels a little tight for this diff, could you unfold it a bit more?
  2. 01:02:959 (1) - Never did 2 measure NC's before this, imo you could un-NC this just fine
Novice
  1. 00:58:482 (5,6,1) - Rhythm variation here from 00:21:765 (3,4,1) - feels a bit weird, since it's a short and simple song just keeping this the same rhythmically would be more fitting imo
Normal
  1. 00:58:034 (6) - reverse like at 00:22:213 (7) - ?
Advanced
  1. 00:14:601 (3,1) - blanket pls
ezek's Hard
  1. 00:10:124 (2,3) - IMO spacing here is way too big, even following DS, compare to 00:53:109 (2,3) - something is off. http://puu.sh/z6MAh/d7329a169f.jpg
Hard
  1. 00:18:183 (4,5) - Feels weird to stack these given 00:16:392 (1,2) - aren't
Atsuro's Hyper
  1. 00:28:929 (5) - Curious, why go with a slowdown here? Missing all the 1/2 slider action you had before
Top diff looks good enough, though some combos drag on for a bit imo

As previously discussed it seems a lot of the lower diffs have odd 2/1 rhythms that cover a lot of the melody that I feel could be included more, so please take another look at that.

All fixed on my end. Waiting on Atsuro and ezek.

  1. As for the highest diff, I like the lengthy combos idk why adds to the aesthetic if that remotely makes any sense.
  2. As for the 2/1 rhythms in earlier difficulties, note the slider shapes that capture covered melodies via red anchors. I had to keep density low and include sliders. So it's natural certain things get covered up.
