Lumenite-
Upon review of the NEW muzukashii (and revisiting the spread issue), things have improved immensely, and no NEEDED changes are needed anymore. On behalf of both me and Gabe, I believe this set is ready.

who are you leave me alone unless you're going to mod one of my other sets :eyes:
Lumenite-
For those who noticed I quickly revoked the bubble, an irc discussion with JBHyperion is below. It most likely will answer all your questions. Apologies.

Discord IRC
JBHyperion - Today at 8:36 PM
https://osu.ppy.sh/forum/p/6272177
what happened here
Stefan asked me what to do
because bubble is missing from your post
did you edit icon?
y'know when someone says "I need to talk to you" I don't really expect them to afk on me
Taikocracy - Today at 8:42 PM
Sorry sorry
My parents are kind of a thing that yell at me
JBHyperion - Today at 8:42 PM
apologies
Taikocracy - Today at 8:42 PM
My sincerest apologies, was indeed rude
So okay
I was walking Stingy through how to (possibly) fix the Muzukashii
In its current state, it wipes everything if you click update to latest version
After he finished updating, he said the issue was fixed, and it was fixed for me too
So I went ahead and bubbled it
After that I notice that I'm getting the message again, and I ask him if he's getting the issue too
JBHyperion - Today at 8:47 PM
and then?
Taikocracy - Today at 8:47 PM
And he said he was, so (quite honestly) I panicked and edited the icon since it was only just set like 8 minutes prior (sorry I keep tabbing to talk to Stingy)
End of story
Don't know why the issue was fixed one moment but broken the next
JBHyperion - Today at 8:48 PM
did you ask anyone else to check besides the mapper?
Taikocracy - Today at 8:48 PM
Gabe had checked it before I did like 44 hours ago, but not after the issue was "fixed," no
JBHyperion - Today at 8:49 PM
alright so two points to note for future reference
1) don't edit icons
ever
it's a pain in the ass to keep track of them
if you change your mind or find something that needs fixing, make a new post with a pop
it's as much to cover your ass as it is to keep good records
say the map got qualified and someone were to look through that thread
and all they see is the heart icon
2nd BN might not know because the top post still showed as bubbled
it's just easier for everyone if all icons are logged properly in a new post
nobody would complain if you decide you want to pop your own bubble, these things can happen
anyway
2) ask for help when you're not sure about things
I would much rather people ask and get things right than not ask and got them wrong
Taikocracy - Today at 8:54 PM
Yeah I understand, I just panicked and all and.. well yeah I panicked and didn't think rationally
JBHyperion - Today at 8:54 PM
it's fine, I know the feeling since I was in your position once :p
just some help for next time

"Popping" to solve the Muzukashii Mystery that I thought was already solved. Sorry for all the confusion!

okay so, I will be bubbling the moment we find out what's the issue with the Muzukashii.
surprising the issue is still around
hehe
haven't extensively tested this, but it seems like changing the diffname works. if you wanna keep the old one, gotta have to wait a few days before reverting back to the original and it should be fine to update.

we have a plan for diffnamed but I just think it’s totally bizarre that this is happening lol
Lumenite-
Follow up mod post, I really like the diff names now-mostly spread things, as most of the notes and rhythms are fine as is (btw I recommend Diet Futsuu instead of Futsuu Lite)

[Guest Diffs]
These are fine as is :)

[Muzukashii]
00:48:489 (53) - I recommend deleting this note or adding it to the Oni as well, as this note is absent from the Oni
01:37:239 (66,67,68) - Add some more here, what's plotted in the Oni is completely different than what's here
02:29:382 (1) - end - Density in the Oni ramps up a LOT, I highly recommend focusing on the same background noise that you focused on in the Oni here too, especially because this part is the exact same thing as the Futsuu pattern.

[Oni]
00:23:668 - 00:29:382 - Spread from Muzukashii -> here is a little bit too big, other diffs including the muzukashii have absolutely no 1/4 here, while the Oni is covered in it. I recommend either adding some triplets in the muzu to match the ones in the oni, or decreasing the density of the oni in this section.
00:43:310 (68) - Don't see the need to make these finishers, especially as it takes away emphasis from 00:43:668 (70) -
00:47:685 (89) - Delete this note to keep consistent with all other repetitions of this pattern, i.e. 00:36:168 (32,33,34,35) - or 00:41:882 (61,62,63,64) - .

Call me back when everything is a-ok
Aurele
I think the diff names just killed me LMAO

  1. Flip bg horizontally so the lady's face is visible from song selection.
  2. Please check your snapping, it seems that some notes are unsnapped.
[Kantan]
  1. this is so light, please change OD to 2.5
  2. 01:52:239 (2) - consider d, that piano pitch is falling
  3. 01:57:953 (5,6) - consider d k to differentiate as you're going into the drums here
[Muzukashii]
  1. 00:23:668 - 50% is too quiet here imho, it's over-contrasted from the other section. please change it to ~70% to make the difference more subtle (this happens again later, consider the same)
  2. 00:46:525 (44) - add finisher?
  3. 00:48:668 (53,54,55,56) - imho kdkk or ddkk (something with dk in the middle) makes the telephone beeping flow much better
  4. 00:58:310 - / 01:06:882 - remove a few notes, as this is after the kiai the chain / pattern should be a little softer afterwards. I understand the pattern makes this difficult, but here are some places to consider 00:58:846 - / 00:59:203 - / 00:59:918 - (of course not all of these at once, but just combine some of these ideas and realize how open your possibilities are!)
  5. 01:32:239 (45) - finisher?
  6. 01:55:096 - / 02:04:918 - nerf this section... this is quite a spread jump from Futsuu, even for a GD. I expect to see more 1/1 breaks here
  7. and for Oni, just consider what I said about adding finishers, changing volume, etc.
call me back if necesary

[Kantan]
  1. this is so light, please change OD to 2.5 I don't see any reason to lower the OD here, nothing makes this kantan different from any other imo
  2. 01:52:239 (2) - consider d, that piano pitch is falling This note is higher in pitch than the one before it, changing it to a don contradicts the pitch structure
  3. 01:57:953 (5,6) - consider d k to differentiate as you're going into the drums here He's not focusing on the drums here though, the focus is still on the piano
[Muzukashii]
  1. 00:23:668 - 50% is too quiet here imho, it's over-contrasted from the other section. please change it to ~70% to make the difference more subtle (this happens again later, consider the same)

  3. 00:48:668 (53,54,55,56) - imho kdkk or ddkk (something with dk in the middle) makes the telephone beeping flow much better 53, 54, and 55 are the relatively the same pitch, where as 56 shows a clear decrease in pitch compared to those 3-kdkk or ddkk doesn't really help flow, and isn't much more accurate in terms of pitch
  4. 00:58:310 - / 01:06:882 - remove a few notes, as this is after the kiai the chain / pattern should be a little softer afterwards. I understand the pattern makes this difficult, but here are some places to consider 00:58:846 - / 00:59:203 - / 00:59:918 - (of course not all of these at once, but just combine some of these ideas and realize how open your possibilities are!) I don't see any problems with what's going on here, this section is definitely less dense straight off the bat due to its absense of any 1/4. On top of that, the 1/2 patterns are fairly simple and not too long at this level, removing notes seems quite unnecessary
  5. 01:32:239 (45) - finisher?
  6. 01:55:096 - / 02:04:918 - nerf this section... this is quite a spread jump from Futsuu, even for a GD. I expect to see more 1/1 breaks here Maybe so, however making this less dense then makes the jump from Muzu -> Oni in this section too big, the only recommendation I'd have is to make the futsuu a little bit more dense, which is optional imo.
  7. and for Oni, just consider what I said about adding finishers, changing volume, etc.

  1. this is so light, please change OD to 2.5 no need to change for me, it's still decent with OD3 even though you said this is so 'light'
  2. 01:52:239 (2) - consider d, that piano pitch is falling i know, but this structure is better without don imo
  3. 01:57:953 (5,6) - consider d k to differentiate as you're going into the drums here added kat at 01:56:525 - and 01:59:382 - for stronger drum, but still only kat (reason as above).

self-mod : make longer at 01:07:953 - by moving to 01:07:596 - so now is 10 count (from 7 to 10).

hai there

  1. Flip bg horizontally so the lady's face is visible from song selection. oWo good call~
  2. Please check your snapping, it seems that some notes are unsnapped. AiMod said there were none ;w; help
[Muzukashii]
  1. 00:23:668 - 50% is too quiet here imho, it's over-contrasted from the other section. please change it to ~70% to make the difference more subtle (this happens again later, consider the same) okie uwuwuwu
  2. 00:46:525 (44) - add finisher? no~ I don't think it's important enough because it's in the middle of the kiai
  3. 00:48:668 (53,54,55,56) - imho kdkk or ddkk (something with dk in the middle) makes the telephone beeping flow much better hm... I changed to kdkdddk? I understand what you're going for and I think this should help
  4. 00:58:310 - / 01:06:882 - remove a few notes, as this is after the kiai the chain / pattern should be a little softer afterwards. I understand the pattern makes this difficult, but here are some places to consider 00:58:846 - / 00:59:203 - / 00:59:918 - (of course not all of these at once, but just combine some of these ideas and realize how open your possibilities are!) I understand this too but it's hard for me to remove anything because I have reasons behind each and every note
  5. 01:32:239 (45) - finisher? same reason as above
  6. 01:55:096 - / 02:04:918 - nerf this section... this is quite a spread jump from Futsuu, even for a GD. I expect to see more 1/1 breaks here eeeee ok
  7. and for Oni, just consider what I said about adding finishers, changing volume, etc. ~
call me back if necesary

00:34:918 - Smoother transistion if you have added a 0.95x line here.
01:20:453 - ^
01:24:560 - I'd prefer to have a don note here, flow-wise this goes pretty odd.
01:25:275 (34) - And the note should be used for 01:25:096 - to provide a more suitable break on 01:25:275 - imo, and to support the vocals better.
01:39:025 - 01:40:810 - The concept doesn't work out well: For the first half of the kiai you used d ddd d k d k while for the second half you mapped at least d ddd d k (for 01:33:310 (73,74,75,76,77,78) - ). HOWEVER, that is not the case for 01:39:025 - 01:40:810 - and makes it look oddly inconsistent. At least one note should be at 01:39:739 - . And generally you may want to change the part to a continuous section: https://derpovic.s-ul.eu/5DMyflyY.png

[Muzukashii]
00:24:025 - and 00:24:739 - you may want to reduce the SV already from 00:24:025 - .

[Kantan]
begin - 00:12:239 - might buff slightly since it looks a bit too simple to what the Futsuu has.

Rest looks fine to me, get the map rebubbled first.

added a kat only at 00:23:310 - no need to add more than this because it would ruins the structure.

Okoratu
00:34:382 (23,24,25) - why is this 1/4, the only thing going on at this point is 1/3?

playing 1/4 there is really awkward

btw mapping vocals in the weird section without anything isn't the best idea ever because most of the vocal impacts are off the actual timeline so clicking them will feel super weird, like impact for 01:49:025 (7) - is late 01:47:596 (4) - is super early in comparison

like lmao mapping that section seems like a shitfest i think the mania map of it went through that and what it would take to not be that but uhhh i dont feel that's worth it
Arrival
i do agree this sounds very weird playing wise.

please consider or instead
