for the start you might want to invest in either a silenct sliderslide or a much quieter one - the rolling noise was very, very noticeable and detrimental to the music.
soft-hitfinish2 is triggering some slight hitsound delay warnings, and does have a slightly staticy start. maybe cut the first couple milliseconds? idk maybe its fine
if there were ever a map where 0.5 tick rate would work this map would be it but its fine i guess

Extra
  1. 00:32:599 (2) - looks just a little bit too lopsided to me
  2. 00:35:048 (1) - all the kinks seem a bit out of place for this particular slider, the music isn't really vibrating or twitching in any way to fit it imo
  3. 01:11:783 (1,2,3,4,5) - Just plain old stack feels a bit lacklustre, try having it be a more vertically-oriented like 0.1x stream going upwards or smth?
  4. 01:16:681 (1,2,3,4,5) - like this but smaller^
  5. 01:48:211 (1,2,1) - having this be a straight line would do better imo, either by moving 1 outward, moving 1,2 leftwards, or the slider to the right. something or other, really.
  6. 02:39:640 (5) - I feel like for this section, you kind of want to avoid filler rhythms as you've already skipped 02:37:956 - , but you go back to filling afterwards. This is a bit more of a complicated suggestion, but i think removing 02:40:405 (2) - as well and focusing on movement halts over the large spaces would help emphasize the dying down of the music. Give it a shot?
  7. 02:57:089 (1) - change to 1/2 slider maybe? might be cool.

Insane
  1. 01:47:599 (2) - Should be 2/3 to really fit the drum usage like 1.
  2. 02:47:293 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,3) - These aren't new comboed like the extra. maybe make them like the extra?

Hard: 01:27:701 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - should be slider-slider-circlex4, imo.
Normal: 01:18:671 (6,1) - blanket ew
Easy is fine

soft-hitfinish2 is triggering some slight hitsound delay warnings, and does have a slightly staticy start. maybe cut the first couple milliseconds? idk maybe its fine cut like 20ms
if there were ever a map where 0.5 tick rate would work this map would be it but its fine i guess tbh i didn't think you could change it to 0.5, but this fits pretty well with the map, so applied

Extra
  1. 00:32:599 (2) - looks just a little bit too lopsided to me this is intended but i tried making it less lopsided
  2. 00:35:048 (1) - all the kinks seem a bit out of place for this particular slider, the music isn't really vibrating or twitching in any way to fit it imo ran out of ideas at that time, made it better
  3. 01:11:783 (1,2,3,4,5) - Just plain old stack feels a bit lacklustre, try having it be a more vertically-oriented like 0.1x stream going upwards or smth? made the spacing similar to the rest of the streams
  4. 01:16:681 (1,2,3,4,5) - like this but smaller^ i'll keep it the way it is for consistency in spacing
  5. 01:48:211 (1,2,1) - having this be a straight line would do better imo, either by moving 1 outward, moving 1,2 leftwards, or the slider to the right. something or other, really. tried to applied this from what i understand, but it was just a minor change
  6. 02:39:640 (5) - I feel like for this section, you kind of want to avoid filler rhythms as you've already skipped 02:37:956 - , but you go back to filling afterwards. This is a bit more of a complicated suggestion, but i think removing 02:40:405 (2) - as well and focusing on movement halts over the large spaces would help emphasize the dying down of the music. Give it a shot? seems to sound better that way; applied
  7. 02:57:089 (1) - change to 1/2 slider maybe? might be cool. i want to end the map abruptly with a hitcircle to basically emphasize the ending all dying out

Insane
  1. 01:47:599 (2) - Should be 2/3 to really fit the drum usage like 1. all right
  2. 02:47:293 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2,3) - These aren't new comboed like the extra. maybe make them like the extra? only nc'ed 02:55:865 - since the others have the same pattern as extra

Hard: 01:27:701 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - should be slider-slider-circlex4, imo. yes
Normal: 01:18:671 (6,1) - blanket ew wee
Easy is fine
thanks for the mod

Hey, here for the m4m sorry its a bit late, but you havnt been on so no big deal right? :^)

Honestly really glad to see a life is strange song mapped (esp with higher level diffs)
lmk if you want any testplays

General
  1. sb/white.png could be a jpg to save on space (This probably isn't an issue at all, but I'm paranoid abt sb optimization after forest lol)
  2. drum-hitwhistle2 has a lot of silence at the end of it, maybe use this file instead https://puu.sh/xto1A/681e30b121.wav
  3. soft-hitwhistle2 same https://puu.sh/xto6n/2dafb50449.wav

Easy

  1. 00:37:497 (2) - slightly off-screen in 4:3 https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9031958

Normal

  1. 01:48:211 (6) - I'd prefer if the noise at 01:48:518 - was clickable because having it be in the repeat makes it seem like it will be a similar noise to the two noises mapped to the repeat and slider head
  2. 02:39:334 (5,6,1,2,3,4,5) - should make this less cluttered imo
  3. 02:53:722 - make this a slider like 02:48:824 (2) - here?

Hard

  1. 00:59:079 (2,1) - lower spacing/semi-stack since the instruments stop playing
  2. 02:20:354 (1) - place down a bit so 3 > 1 isn't such a sharp angle

Insane

  1. 01:51:885 - maybe lower hitsound volume since it's on the slider end and can be kinda misleading/disorienting (idk guess this applies to all diffs and the whole section)

Extra

  1. No edgy top diff name? :^(
  2. 00:25:252 (1,2) - blanket is pretty off
  3. 01:23:263 (6,7,8) - kinda hard to hit cause its such an obtuse angle
  4. 02:00:456 (5) - looks kinda gross, maybe make it symmetrical? (02:10:252 (5) - too)
  5. 02:25:865 (3) - broken tail stack
  6. 02:57:089 (1) - un-NC this to keep consistent with Insane

Sorry this is pretty short, but the map is great already! good luck, i hope its ranked soon :D

Edit: welp, i learned two things today. Thought jpg was always better than png for file stuff and didn't think osu gave u the option for aspect ratios besides 16:9 and 4:3. Mb on those comments ^^

General
  1. sb/white.png could be a jpg to save on space (This probably isn't an issue at all, but I'm paranoid abt sb optimization after forest lol) optimizing a png file that is a single color save a lot than saving it as jpg. currently the png filesize is 144 bytes while jpg took 22.1kb. maybe i did the conversion wrong, but please do share how you could make it smaller
  2. drum-hitwhistle2 has a lot of silence at the end of it, maybe use this file instead https://puu.sh/xto1A/681e30b121.wav
  3. soft-hitwhistle2 same https://puu.sh/xto6n/2dafb50449.wav

Easy

  1. 00:37:497 (2) - slightly off-screen in 4:3 https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9031958 doesn't seem to be in my case https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/9032262 and i think you were in 5:4 aspect ratio according to your screenshot's resolution

Normal

  1. 01:48:211 (6) - I'd prefer if the noise at 01:48:518 - was clickable because having it be in the repeat makes it seem like it will be a similar noise to the two noises mapped to the repeat and slider head

  3. 02:53:722 - make this a slider like 02:48:824 (2) - here?

Hard

  1. 00:59:079 (2,1) - lower spacing/semi-stack since the instruments stop playing lowered the spacing to also to not get confused with the gap in-between if it were stacked bc earlier stacks were 1/2 and this is 1/1, so just keeping consistency
  2. 02:20:354 (1) - place down a bit so 3 > 1 isn't such a sharp angle

Insane

  1. 01:51:885 - maybe lower hitsound volume since it's on the slider end and can be kinda misleading/disorienting (idk guess this applies to all diffs and the whole section) idk about this; the first few objects in this section of the music is clearly following the guitar, so the clap hitsound is just an add-on. that shouldn't really affect the gameplay, plus the volume is at a right level imo; but maybe i'll reconsider it

Extra

  1. No edgy top diff name? :^( not yet :v (if i can think of something, or if i just want to follow the formal format)
  2. 00:25:252 (1,2) - blanket is pretty off tried my best to perfection it, tho at first it doesn't seem noticeable
  3. 01:23:263 (6,7,8) - kinda hard to hit cause its such an obtuse angle
  4. 02:00:456 (5) - looks kinda gross, maybe make it symmetrical? (02:10:252 (5) - too) intention here is to follow the guitar since it kind of dies out on the red tick, so the breaking shape is around there
  5. 02:25:865 (3) - broken tail stack
  6. 02:57:089 (1) - un-NC this to keep consistent with Insane actually made the same combo-ing across the diffs

Sorry this is pretty short, but the map is great already! good luck, i hope its ranked soon :D
thanks for the mod!
