- I have a bit of trouble with the rhythm in this diff, as it seems rather artificial : sometimes it’s ignoring the song, such as in 00:00:825 (1) whose end is ending on a vocal but is surrounded by more of them, so it feels artificial because 00:02:004 isn’t within the slider while 00:01:667 is ; the sliderend feels arbitrary. Another example would be 00:03:184 (3) which is a clickable vocal, but you’re following the bells with your sliders during the phrase ;
- 00:03:184 (3) - here you have a clickable object on vocals, but you’re following the bells with your sliders during the phrase this is the only instance of vocals being that emphasised which participates in making the rhythm feel arbitrary
- 00:04:869 (1,2) - following the logic from your other sliders there should be a flow reversal on 00:05:375 (2)
- 00:17:173 - I may be wrong but I’m pretty sure there’s a guitar sound here as well ; maybe antijumps ?
- 00:37:229 (1) - while I have no qualms with overmapping one slider end, I feel that one reverse arrow and the slider end may be over the top ; consider making it a hold slider instead of reverse ?
- 00:38:240 (3,4,5,6,1) - I believe those weird 1/4 bells start at 00:37:735
- 00:42:622 (1,2,3,4) - maybe gradually increase spacing due to pitch ?
- 00:44:813 (3) - rip circular flow
- 00:45:150 - should be clickable since you emphasise vocals this way
- 00:47:847 (1) - the fact that this slider is ignoring the 1/4s in the background also participates in making the rhythm seem artificial imo
- 01:26:948 (4) - I’m not sure how I feel about this emphasis through linear flow ; it makes sense, but at the same time it’s the first time it happens in the map, so it ends up being emphasised more than it should be
Hikan’s Extra
- 00:14:139 (7) - I’d personally start a new stream here since 00:14:139 (7) is kind of the highest pitch but up to you
- 00:21:555 (3,4) - fix blanket
- 00:27:622 - maybe put a 1/6 buzz here cause the weird bell thing is clearly audible and it’s awkward to not map it imo
- 00:35:544 (6,1,2,3) - isn’t spacing a bit over the top ? especially since the angle here is unusually wide
- 00:37:735 (1) - I believe the 1/4 sounds start there, so why ignore them when you mapped then afterwards ?
- 00:38:914 (1,3) - this is the only instance of a perfectly stacked back & forth pattern within the map, which feels out of place because when you use back & forth patterns like this one you usually overlap instead of fully stacking ( eg 00:46:330 (4,5,1) )
- 00:41:274 (1,2) - I believe the snapping derped here ? 00:41:274 (1) should theoretically be a 3/4 slider instead of 1/1
- 01:26:442 (5,6) - shouldn’t you be switching to kick sliders there ?
Extra
- 00:16:667 (5) - since you separated the stream in groups of 4 at 00:15:656 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) I think you should do it here as well as those 1/4s follow the same rhythmical structure
- 01:10:937 (1) - this jump has a much wider angle than the others throughout the map, so it ends up emphasising more than it it probably intended
- 01:25:431 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - the angle of those two patterns in terms of flow is way different and doesn’t match the buildup imo
- 01:26:948 (1) - the sudden 1/4 jump here is relatively awkward : since you have hardly been using them throughout the map, it feels out of place even as a means to emphasise the intensity of the song because it’s a jumpspike through confusion
LMT’s Extreme
- 00:00:825 (1) - y u no make this symmetrical BibleThump
- 00:01:836 (3,1) - emphasis here is kinda weird : 00:01:836 (3) giving its tail’s vocals less emphasis is telling to the player that you’re prioritising bells, but afterwards 00:02:173 (1) has a bell on its head and tail which tells the player it’s not, making everything feel artificial
- 01:02:510 (1) - I feel that it’s a shame that you didn’t play around with the discontinuous streams you introduced at the 00:15:319 (1) part ; your streams are expressive, but introducing a concept and then leaving it behind when intensity is peaking seems kind of a waste of potential to me
Asaiga’s Eternal stage
- 00:16:330 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1) - shape could be more polished
- 00:53:746 (3) - in this diff again, an arbitrarily lower angle ; this feels out of place because you’re using mainly sharp ones, but the emphasis through lower angle should be used as a concept and not once in the map
- 01:02:847 (1) - 1/4 jump is out of place as well because they haven’t been been introduced earlier on in the map
- 01:24:420 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,7) - I feel like this stream could be more expressive : first, it doesn’t reflect 00:11:611 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,1,2,3,4,1) while those two sections are rhythmically very similar. Then, I think it could use emphasis through turns in addition to new combos since as of now it just feels like omoide kakera’s solo
overall the diffs are solid despite being generic ( which isn't bad in itself ), so I think you can rank this, so god luck with pushing the set further !
