  1. This map is smooth as heck lol so most of my points will be subjective and nazi
  2. 00:18:354 (3) - I don't think this shape really fits in this section. Especially since you almost always use grey-anchored sliders on slow sections.
  3. 00:19:596 - Shouldn't there be a circle here? You had one here 00:26:216 (4) - soo
  4. 00:53:113 (1) - Same as before, it feels pretty out of place.
  5. 01:27:458 (3) - I think this should be two circles instead because it has vocals on both its sliderhead and sliderend while the same sliders such as 01:14:630 (5,6,8) - or 01:25:389 (3) - only have vocal on the head.
  6. This is probably the most subjective suggestion I'll ever make but I'll make it anyway. If I were you I would put 01:48:975 (8) - back where 01:47:527 (4) - is. As the pitch/melody the vocal follows gradually decreases maybe it would be cool decreasing the spacing there too, this was the triangle can also be kept perfect I guess xd
  7. 03:00:561 (1,2,3,4) - Here you do 1 circle on one side then 3 circles on the other while 03:01:389 (1,2,3,4) - here it's the opposite. I think it would be better if they were equal (if you agree then in that case I would make the first 4 circles 3 - 1 to keep these 03:01:803 (3,4,1) - emphasized)
  8. 03:04:699 (3,4,5,1) - Emphasis suggestion: I think 03:04:699 (3,4,5) - those three should have equal spacing as there is no sound between them that asks for a spacing increase or anything. If you do that, you could increase the spacing of this jump 03:05:113 (5,1) - to emphasize the sound on circle 1.
  9. I am not really in favor of the spacing changes of circles in the kiai section but I can understand they are there for variety.
  10. 04:43:657 (3,4) - hmm I'm not quite sure about this spacing decrease, I think it's a bit too much compared to the triangle you made before. If I were you I would put this in the middle and make a nice triangle xdd
  11. 04:55:733 (1,2,1,2) - As those two are crtl+h-ed respectively what if 04:58:320 (1) - this followed the same path as 04:55:733 (1,2) - this instead of 04:56:860 (1,2) - this
  12. Also make sure you recheck the map for the stack bug, there are some of them :V

And that should sum it up. Hope I made a helpful point or two, this is a really smooth map so it was hard to find any major flaws (there aren't any major flaws lol). Good luck!

2017-05-28 10:28 toybot: kinda want to keep 03:58:078 (3,4) - as is though

General
  1. Some of the combo colours are pretty dark, especially Combo 2 and Combo 3. I would suggest you to make them a little bit brighter because its pretty hard to read them since most people plays with 100% Background dim.
  2. As said on a Modding Assistant software. There are some hitsounds that has 5ms possible delay. Here's the list of it
    1. soft-hitnormal20.wav
    2. soft-hitnormal22.wav
    3. soft-hitnormal23.wav
    4. soft-hitnormal24.wav
    5. soft-hitnormal26.wav

Please make sure/check them if they are actually have the delay.
  3. Speaking of hitsounds, the piano sound has its weird sound on the end of a slider (00:00:148 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - ), its like. It suddenly gave the default sliderslide sound which is not in the hitsound. Idk how to explain tbh but its something like, delay or smth? Could refer to this post for it p/6020903 (Different map but has the similiar issue i've pointed.)
  4. Also, about BG. This is pretty subjective but, imo you could have a brighter BG which would be better for everyone who plays the map without 100% bg dim nor people who plays the map with it.
Reverie - 4.51*
  1. 00:21:665 (3,4) - Not sure if this is intentional or not, the visual/look of both sliders arent rotated neatly or like, doesnt equal. Try moving 00:22:492 (4) - to 69|318 and rotate it 15 degrees more. So it will look equal with (3).
  2. 00:34:906 (4,5) - Maybe you can do the same/similiar look as above? Would be cool imo.
  3. 00:42:354 (6,1) - Nazi, is this supposed to be Blanket? if yes, please make (1) a little bit wider lol.
  4. 00:45:665 (6,7,1) - For aesthetic sake. The shape here isnt neat at all, i mean like. 00:46:492 (1) - this almost touches (6)'s slidertail and that makes it look weird/doesnt neat at all. Tbh, you could've move (1) to 251|363 and rotate it 9 degrees. That way, it will make the visual looks better and also the blanket
  5. 01:36:148 (1,2) - Could have a better curve shape by rotating 01:36:975 (2) - this to 6 degrees.
  6. 01:46:906 (3,4,5) - Eh, why (3)>(4) have a bigger spacing than (5)? 01:47:527 - This part doesnt have any strong sound at all. Unlike 01:47:734 - , this part has a strong sound because its piano sound. Would have been better if the spacing from (4)>(5) is larger instead making (3)>(4) larger. (See here 02:00:148 (2,3,4) - , you made (3)>(4) larger because (4) has a loud piano sound. So yeah, better to make 01:47:527 (4,5) - this wider so it will be consistent with other parts)
  7. 02:37:389 (4,1) - I think it would be cool if (1) placed in different place so the piano sound could be emphasized, but, your choice i guess.
  8. 03:33:665 - Might want to increase the SV change here? The reason is to make 03:34:182 (1) - a bit more readable. Well, its actually readable but somehow its hard to notice it. You probably saw that i miss an object when i was on this part lol.
  9. 03:38:630 (1,2) - Hmm, is there any reason why this has a wider spacing when 03:37:802 (1,2) - doesnt? Its pretty inconsistent imo since both has the same sound and that means both should have the equal spacing as well but, still. Consider this if you want stuff to be consistent i guess.
  10. 03:43:595 (1,2,3,4) - Comparing to other parts. This part's spacings has an interesting spacing. But well... even if its interesting, it somehow gave the feel of, confusing. Hmm i dont know how to explain this clearly but to me, When i landed on some of the objects in this part. The low spacing changes are a bit hard to read. Well... the thing is, would be better to make every spacing equal. Imo.
  11. 03:50:423 (2) - Make dis wave the same as the others -_ (03:42:147 (2) - )
  12. 03:49:906 (3,4) - Stack
  13. 03:58:078 (3,4) - Almost unnoticable because 03:57:251 (3,4) - (or probably cuz the combo colours since its pretty dark and almost blends with the background when you play.)
  14. 04:20:320 (2,3) - Again, stack
  15. 04:41:942 (1,2,3) - Is this supposed to be triangle? If yes, they arent equal at all in visual 8-). Here, 04:43:657 (3) - move this to 480|343 so the triangle will look neat
  16. 04:44:514 (4,1) - Wider spacing to emphasize 04:45:371 - the piano sound here?
  17. 04:49:657 (3,4) - Imo, the 1/4 sliders here arent mapped to nothing, by i mean when 04:49:657 (3) - ends on the 1/4. (Same goes to (4)). I think this is like an overmap? Try this rhythm instead so the slider will land on the right sound
[]

Thats all. Overall the map is really great in structure, i always love your curved sliders designs. Makes me wet.
Get a BN and rank this already. Good luck man! Oh btw, hit me up if you want a banner ;)

Hi

  • [Reverie]
  1. 00:15:044 (3,4) - Copy it and tilt it by 120 °?
  2. 00:18:354 (3,1) - I think that the distance is far away
    Ctrl+H is better
  3. 00:34:906 (4,5,1) - I think the triangle like the image is beautiful
  4. 00:59:734 (1) - I think this slider looks bad
  5. 01:25:803 (4,5) - Ctrl+J is better
  6. 01:36:975 (2,5) - Blanket is possible
  7. 01:43:389 (1,2,3,1,2,3) - The same distance is better
  8. 03:33:665 - 04:26:630 - Good map!!
  9. 04:50:514 (4) - There is no sound at the end of the slider
Good luck! :)

y u do dis

obligatory slider end strong sound comment 00:04:285 (2) - 00:10:906 (2) -
thats what you get for posting in a beginners queue

00:32:837 (6,1) - The lack of blanket here (being the first overlap in the map) would fit later on in the song as the soft percussion thing starts and the melody starts picking up but this one looks off. 00:42:148 (5,6) - This could be the first overlap.

I can't really see the reason of using this spaced triple 03:45:664 (3,4,5) - here 04:06:147 (2,3,4) - and here 04:16:285 (3,4,5) - aside from very minor vocal and instrumental differences. It's not connecting some section or pattern either.
I can maaybe justify the first one but not the others.

Flow breaks on kiai felt a little random so I couldn't really sort those out :c

00:29:941 (1,2) - This pattern is used a couple times but every time the angle was slightly different.
inb4 for variety

01:21:251 (1,2,3) - These sliders look off but not in an aesthetical way, I think using symmetry would do better.

lovely hitsounding, and love the concepts overall that you incorporated

  1. Could you make the bg .jpg instead of .png? It's a pretty hefty file size as of now.
  2. I really think you should keysound the ending since you do the intro, they both heavily revolve around the piano as the focal point, and it just feels odd not having it there too.

Reverie

  1. 00:07:595 (2) - unsnapped end
  2. 00:18:354 (3,1) - Your 1/1 gaps were nicely spaced for the most part, this one felt a bit too far in comparison to the rest, and I found myself having to jump to this which doesn't really suit the song at the moment.
  3. 00:26:630 (1) - I like what you do to focus on the vocals here, but it was really jarring in gameplay because I wasn't really expecting vocals to suddenly become more clickable here, and it sticks out because a lot of vocal rhythms like at 00:14:837 - are missing, with more focus on the piano I'm presuming? I think it'd be better to include 1/4 sliders on the circles to incorporate them a bit more so that the upcoming rhythms that do incorporate more vocals become more predictable.
  4. 01:02:630 (5,6) - Curious, why'd you choose a circle for 6? There's no distinct sound there that would call for something clickable imo, maybe a slider would be an alternative.
  5. 01:19:596 (3) - NC? The 3 instances after this have one, feels odd not having one here.
  6. 01:15:872 (8,1) - I think you could emphasize this more. ctrl+g'ing the slider felt nicer to put some sharp flow on the downbeat.
  7. 01:15:458 (7) - It's a little weird to me here that you give this so much spacing, the claps in other instances like 01:27:044 (2) - are pretty simple in emphasis in contrast. Going with that, if it's vocals you focus on, it feels weird that 01:15:872 (8,1) - are less emphasized. Would something like this be an alternative maybe? http://puu.sh/wRcOb/96256e65b0.jpg
  8. 01:42:768 (1,2) - These drums are distinctly different and stacking these sounds feels a bit inappropriate, small jump would be better to distinguish them.
  9. 01:58:906 (6) - in contrast to 01:02:630 (5,6), I think these 1/2 beats would be nicer clickable :)
  10. 03:23:734 (3,4,5) - Compare rhythm here to 03:27:044 (4,5,6) - . You focus on making the piano clickable at 03:24:561 -, shouldn't it be at 03:27:872 - too?
  11. 03:34:906 (5) - Alright, so the rhythm here is really, really odd to start off with the mixture of 1/16 and 1/12, and I think you map it really nicely, the only thing I'd like here is this to be snapped to 1/6 maybe instead of 1/12. Reason being, the rhythm is already likely to confuse the player and holding this slider for longer than the rest will most likely lead to them jumping to the slider early due to the buildup and confusion. The 1/12 snapping might be a bit rough for some players to hit without missing here, so consider snapping it 1/6 to make it more feasible.
  12. 03:34:492 (1,1) - One more thing with these, maybe NC them so they stand out against the 1/8 or 1/16.
  13. 03:43:595 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) - I absolutely love this as a design/gameplay aspect, and it fits so well with the vocals. I wish you could incorporate it one more time maybe into the repeat of the chorus though, at some place like 04:12:561 (1) - , so it doesn't feel so centered in the first kiai. I understand that the vocals might not support it though so feel free to reject this.
  14. 04:03:044 (1) - I'd get rid of NC here, not necessary IMO and it's better to stick with your half measure NC's.
  15. Really well done with the kiai, got nothing else to mention with it.
  16. 04:58:320 (1) - So what I liked with the ending in Lama's map instead is it uses a really soft hitnormal to make this absolutely quiet, since there's no sound and this just serves to make this fit for approval. If you could use the same to make this sound almost non-existent so it doesn't stick out even at 5% that'd be perfect.

Great job with this, call me back! :)

good luck to u and purple gem anime grill :d

NOTE: for other BN's checking, if you're checking with MA it might show these as unused: https://puu.sh/wYfnf/eea6a4eb2f.png. They aren't, and do serve to silence sliderends in the keysounded portions that would otherwise have extra noise even on the ends, so these do serve a purpose.

  1. 01:31:182 (1) - this slider should end in 1/8
  2. 01:49:389 (1,2,3,4,5) - why is the spacing so different? if you don't want to make it equal, can I atleast ask you to add some more spacing between 01:49:389 (1,2) - or reduce it a bit from the next one
  3. 01:38:630 (5,1) - add more spacing to represent the strong sound at 1? since you did tiny jumps at other similar parts for example 01:40:906 (4,1) - etc
  4. 02:40:699 (1) - I think you can represent the song better by using 2 circles, the melody is starting again at 02:41:113 -
  5. 02:44:010 (1) - 02:53:941 (1) - ^
  6. 03:00:975 (3) - add NC here too, to have every pair with a NC 03:00:561 (1,2,3,4,1,2,1,2) -
  7. 03:07:182 (5) - the slider tick sounds a bit annoying, maybe reduce the volume on it a bit?
