Hi, from my mod queue!

Beginner

00:05:309 (2) - Shouldn't this be a new combo, since there is a long rhythm gap between 00:02:109 (1,2) - and also this is on the beat after the lead in for the song.

00:14:909 (3) - This slider could have the first red anchor point be on the strong sound at 00:15:709 - so the slider moves better with the music.

00:24:109 (1) - It would be a lot better to start this slider at 00:24:509 - , so that is lands on the stronger beat at the start of the next section, instead of here.

00:30:909 (3) - Because this is in the outro and not the previous section I think it should be a new combo.

00:30:909 (3) - I don't see the reason to silence the slider end on this, all of the other difficulties use spinners and silence the end but that is fine, but I think for such a difficulty it is best to have the normal volume slider end to give new players the feedback.

00:03:709 (3) - In the map all of the slider shapes look quite even and smooth. To me this one sticks out as looking a lot different and not nice in my opinion. You could change the shape to just a simple curved one to make it look more visually similar to 00:02:109 (1) - . I understand the current shape follows the baseline in the music but I think it could fit a lot better aesthetically.

00:05:309 - Unnecessary timing point since it has the same attributes as the timing point at 00:02:109 - , you can delete this.

00:18:509 (1) - You could make this fully blanket 00:18:109 (4) - but it is already nice positioning. Just an idea.

Not much to say, apart from the paragraph about a small slider lol

00:02:709 (2,3) - You should move 00:02:109 (1) - To the left like 10 pixels. I know this map is distance snapped at 1.1x but the effect of the stack makes this pattern have an ugly overlap in my opinion.

00:04:309 (2) - This is not in line with the slider. If this was not intentional, the circle should actually be at x:470, y:369. This is such a small point haha, but it is something I noticed with my eyes while I was looking. I doubt any player would ever notice.

00:20:109 - Skipping the lyric here on this section is strange and ending it on the slider end then a gap to the next circle feels really empty. Same goes for the other place of course.

00:27:709 (1) - The overlap of 00:27:709 (1) - Doesn't look very nice in my opinion. You could make the gap slightly bigger by moving the slider down so they don't intrude on each other.

00:29:309 - Would it not be better to not map an object here and have a slider at 00:29:509 - to better represent the gap in the vocals rhythm, since in this section the map rhythm has been following the lyrics really well.


00:30:109 (1) - All other difficulties start the spinner at 00:30:909 - so there is no reason for this difficulty to make the set seem inconsistent.

00:06:309 (4) - The overlap on 00:05:709 (2) - is not really necessary and could just me moved to make the map look better in my opinion.

00:13:309 (6) - The start and end of this slider is not parallel. You can make it parallel by moving the slider end to x:183, y:123.

00:19:309 (4) - If you rotate this object by -7 degrees around the selection centre, it would remove the overlap on 00:20:309 (6) - and actually blanket it well. But if you do, distance re snap 00:19:709 (5) - .

00:24:109 (10) - The blanket on 00:23:509 (8) - could be better. In fact I think going through the map and perfecting any blankets would be worth time since there are a couple :v

00:29:309 (7) - I think you should skip the rhythm at 00:29:309 (7) - and map 00:29:509 - to match the vocals.
Hard

00:11:109 (3) - This jump could be a lot further away from 00:10:709 (2) - since it is a 1 beat gap after a really dense rhythm section. For this reason I think it should also have a new combo. A similar thing here too 00:23:309 (2,3) -

00:29:109 (6,7) - Should make this a jump like other 1 beat gaps, since you don't use this kind of long rhythm gap stack anywhere in the map, it's strange to use it right at the end. Also if you make this a jump it would also make sense to me to make it a new combo.

Not much to say, my favourite difficulty in the set!

00:11:109 (4,5) - I think the triple in the song in between these 2 circles should be mapped since this is the top difficulty, and Hard difficulty did that here

00:13:309 (1,2,3,4,5) - Why does this pattern here use back and forth when the pattern before it which represents the same melody uses wide angle jumps 00:06:709 (6,1,2,3) - . I think these 2 patterns should represent the song in the same way but the current patterns play completely different.

00:15:309 (2,3,4) - There is no triple in the song here, usually this is fine if its before the start of a new bar as like a fill to the next section but this is out of nowhere. There are a lot of opportunities in this where you could map triples so you don't need to force it like this. 00:18:109 (1,2,3) - another example, where just 1 beat before there was a much better spot to place a triple 00:17:509 (4,5) - .

00:21:309 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - wow nice jump pattern!

Well that's all, but I have a thing to say in general. The jump patterns are good in the way they play but aesthetically it seems like they are placed without thinking about where previous and future objects are which causes ugly overlaps where it could have been avoided by just shifting the circle a bit in my opinion.

I can understand that, fixed.

00:11:109 (3) - This jump could be a lot further away from 00:10:709 (2) - since it is a 1 beat gap after a really dense rhythm section. For this reason I think it should also have a new combo. A similar thing here too 00:23:309 (2,3) - These are both calm sections, so I'd prefer to use smaller distances for them. As for the combos, I'm not too sure about breaking consistency for these, but I'll keep it in mind.

00:29:109 (6,7) - Should make this a jump like other 1 beat gaps, since you don't use this kind of long rhythm gap stack anywhere in the map, it's strange to use it right at the end. Also if you make this a jump it would also make sense to me to make it a new combo. I like this current pattern, as there's a pause in the vocals, so having these stacked acts like a continuation of this after the pause... if you understand

  3. 00:09:309 (3,4) - Why do these have different spacing from this 00:05:309 (1,2) - when the two of them have the same lyric? There's no change in the tone either, so there's no reason for them to be speced differently. The first one that I mentioned is using DS while the second one I mentioned breaks the DS, so it really makes no sense considering the fact that the two have the same lyric and sound.
  4. 00:08:909 (2,4) - Slight overlap here, should probably avoid it since it doesn't look intentional and they barley overlap which isn't really aesthetically pleasing.
  5. 00:11:709 (1,2) - Just like the first point.

  5. 00:22:909 (1) to 00:28:509 (3) - this is just me but I think it would look nicer to increase your overlaps for some parts. Overlaps like 00:23:509 (2) - and 00:25:509 (3) are good but the rest of them overlap too little to be aesthetically pleasing imo.
  6. Because the NC combos are really short (average 3) you can up the hp a bit to make it a bit more challenging

00:19:709 (1,2) - to me it feels like the emphasis in the song is not only on (2) but also on (1), so giving (1) extra spacing to be similar to (2) seems better

All of these are pretty much just observations and details that don't really need changing but I felt were a bit off.

MINAKO's Easy
00:03:709 (3,4) - the time spacing between the slidertail and the -4- note feels a bit weird to sightread, but it's not that bad. I'd personally just repeat the slider back, but that doesn't make this a bad thing, just a quick suggestion.

00:05:309 (1,2) - if this is blanketing, it's a tiny bit off. But there are other sliders placed in a similar way that aren't blanketing, so I am not sure if this was supposed to be a blanket.

00:09:309 (2,3) - the -3- here is supposed to be parallel to the -2-, right? if so, it's a tiny bit off (rotated them by the same amount and placed them near the grid lines to show it: https://rain.s-ul.eu/BFIOm1Z1.png - might want to rotate the -3- by -1 degree, seems to make it more parallel)

00:26:909 (4,1) - blanket seems off with my skin, could be just my skin though.

I don't think there's anything else I missed here.

Personally, I would make 1-2 shorter in spacing, then duplicate it for 5-6 without inverting the direction, like this: https://rain.s-ul.eu/SCPj4kXy.png (might want to play around with the distance spacing tho, so that it fits the genera pattern and structure of your map. But other methods also work,. You can keep the wider angle if you want.

00:22:709 (4,1,2,3) - Might want to start the newcombo on the second overlap (so there's no followpoint, would make the timing "skip" easier to notice. Especially since 00:23:509 (3,1) - is also a newcombo after the jump.

00:27:509 (6,1) - this blanket is way closer than other blankets in the song. Probably the only thing you may want to change rather than keeping it as it is, while the others are just observations.

00:29:109 (6,1) - Mmh maybe find another way to place the last two objects here, since overlaps like this were a 2/4 timing for the entire map, but here it's 4/4 (and on red ticks too). The first two notes in the entire map also do this overlap on 4/4 00:02:109 (1,2) - so might want to re-check that as well. But these both shouldn't be that much of a probem.

Nice diff name my dude. Not much to say about this one, it's definitely wilder than the others but it's still consistent and structured. The reversing jumps are a bit offputting, especially since there are linear jumps as well, but I still see them as fitting.

00:06:709 (6,1,2,3,4) - might want to start the combo on the 6 here rather than where it currently is, so it fits with the words. But on the white tick is fine as well, especially since you do that for the entirety of the map, just an observation.

00:11:109 (4,5,6) - I think making the 4 a newcombo is better here, since you do that in later triples.

00:14:909 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - linear jumps, but the spacing isn't the same for all of them.
Might want to move the circles around a bit to fix it. I suggest not making the linear at all. Try using some acute angles here.

00:21:309 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - that 7-8 that breaks the pattern is kinda weird. But it fits with the next jumps afterwards. Just an observation, if you can change it to fit both would be better, but this still kinda works.


That's all I have to say, I'm not the best at mapping either (and you know it lol) so just take these as suggestions rather than actual complaints or requirements.

  6. Because the NC combos are really short (average 3) you can up the hp a bit to make it a bit more challenging

  1. 00:10:709 - 00:17:109 - these where the vocals peak, so that is probably where the sliders should be finished. This would make the rhythm a bit trickier, yet, a lot more accurate.

    Personally, I would say that it is way oversimplified and leaves out a huge number of important beats while Easy is playable enough for a beginner player. Additionally, the song is just ~30 secoonds long.

  1. 00:23:309 - the beat here is way too strong, and ignoring it doesn't feel reasonable. try this rhythm, instead?

    At times the 3/2 sliders felt a bit forced. For insntance, 00:10:109 (3) - removing the reverse off this slider would create a less dense and more logical rhythm built around vocals. It happens here and there, I would probably try to throw in a few 3/2s to make the song a bit more rhythmical, to get beginners to listen to the song rather than just spam 1/1. After all, it's only ~30 seconds, so it should still be playable.
Firetruck's Normal
  1. 00:02:109 (1,2,3) - the stack overlaps with the previous slider in-game. Try moving things around to prevent that from happening since the majority of the stacks are without any overlaps?
  2. 00:27:109 (3,1) - I would probably keep (1) sraight as the overlap is too minor and feels unintentional rather than neat, at least it is so in my eyes.

    Pretty good difficulty. Just as always!

  1. 00:03:709 (1,2,3) - the 1/4 slider ignores a strong beat on 00:03:909 - leaving it unclickable, while highlighting 00:04:109 - a weaker beat here. So, we get a somewhat spammed 1/2 rhythm that feels off. There's a break in the beat and I'd try to highlight that
  2. 00:10:109 (1,2) - I'd try a reversed 1/2 slider and a 1/2 circle as it seems to match the intensity of the sounds better. See if you like the way it sounds!

    Feels quite okay, though I feel like the rhythm at some parts could be a bit better in terms of emphasis.
Hard
  1. 00:03:509 (5,1) - the jump here is okay, but when comapared with 00:04:909 (5,1) - it feels overdone. Shouldn't the part with vocal support have a bigger jump?
    Sort of similar thing would apply to 00:05:709 (2,3) - which seems to be more based on the pattern itself rather than the song as the beat does not stand out much. Probably it'd be a good idea to look through it one more time and define when and why jumps are used.
  2. 00:22:709 (4,5,1) - probably could use a stack or higher spacing as the antijump feels out pf context and is hard to read.

    A bit of spacing readjustments wouldn't hurt, I believe. Other than that it is a fairly solid mapset.

  1. My main issue is the way you sopace things. For instance, 00:02:509 (2,3,4) - when you compare 3 and 4, (3) stands out more.And you seem to agree with it, as you give it a stronger hitsound. Yet, it is spaced closer to the previous object. So, spacing-wise, (4) gets more emphasis.

    It happens a lot more, for example 00:06:109 (3,4,5) - here (5) should be spaced less as it has no vocal support, or you can space (4) closer if you go for the drums. Or 00:15:709 (4,5,6) - where (5) is definitely a lot weaker, yet, spaced equally. Mixing them creates a sort of hard to understand mix of everything and none of the jumps feel meaningful.

    Try to get a few mor eopinions on the spacing, see if I am not the only person feeling this way.
I feel like it still needs some polishing and more work in certain parts of it, sometimes it felt sort of rushed as well. Probably it is a good idea to take some time to go through things one more time.

Removed the difficulty. The original intent was to make the mapset accessible to a wider audience, but I guess Easy fulfils that already, as you said.

  2. 00:22:709 (4,5,1) - probably could use a stack or higher spacing as the antijump feels out pf context and is hard to read.

    A bit of spacing readjustments wouldn't hurt, I believe. Other than that it is a fairly solid mapset. Alright, I've altered the spacing in the points raised, and adjusted a few other things, thanks for your help!

■ 00:10:109 (1) - I can see why this is at the place it's at, but it'd probably be better if it was somewhere away where it's not touching 00:09:309 (5) - anymore. Makes things more clear and less messy.
■ 00:10:509 (3) - Start and End are both about equally strong, so two Circles instead of one Slider would suit that more.
