Random mod for a song in my favorite game. :v


  • General

    1. I think hitsounds may be a bit too loud. maybe 70% ?
    2. I also think that some hitsounds do not match the song, the parts in question are from 00:32:000 ( first bookmark ) until the kiai, the hitsounds are too strong and the sounds that are in that part are less strong. In my opinion sounds like the default soft sampleset fit way better in this part, not just in that part but some simmilar sounds are heard in the kiai aswell ! The rest of the hitsounds are really good !

      1. 00:20:875 (4,5) - the break you used here is breaking up the rhythm aswell. To prevent further bad times you may want. maybe try something like this ? http://puu.sh/ltiw6/cbdb554e41.png
      2. 00:25:375 (6) - , 00:29:375 (6) - you could make this a 1/2 slider to prevent another awkward break
      3. 00:29:250 (5,6) - maybe overlap these with the slider end and the other note
      4. 00:35:625 (5) - I think it would fit better if you would make this note a 1/2 slider and remove 00:35:750 (6) - because the sound on 5 is a sound that really makes a good transition into a little pause.
      5. 00:36:750 (3) - this could be a 1/2 slider aswell
      6. 00:42:625 (3,4,5,6,7) - this is OKAY don't get me wrong, but it may be a bit awkward
      7. 00:50:000 (5) - you tried to avoid using 1/4 sliders up until now and you used one now, I'll guess its because of the kiai ?
      8. 00:57:500 (6,7) - I'll be honest here, these don't fit really well...
      9. 01:04:500 (3,1) - this break is rhythm destructive !

      • Post-Genocide

        1. 00:16:625 (4,6) - overlap pls
        2. 00:24:000 (1,2) - fix this pause please...
        3. 00:27:625 (8,9,10,1) - are you really going to put a square after a 2.6x spacing jump ?
        4. 00:40:625 (4,6) - overlap pls
        5. 00:48:500 (3,1) - fix pause
        6. 00:57:500 (5,6) - a long slider would be more fitting imo
        7. 01:09:875 (5,7) - why are you afraid to overlap these ?
        8. Also some other possible ignorable points : Why CS 4.1 ... ? You can use AR9 instead of 9.1 pretty easily. OD can be 7.5.

            4. 00:42:000 (1) - this doesn't need to be this long
            5. 00:48:500 (3,4) - this jump is not okay since there isn't anything that empowering here to make sense for this jump
            6. 00:50:000 (1,2,3,4,5) - make a smoother transition, even if this is a high star diff you can't put 240 bpm in such a weird place. Put it a bit under 7
            7. 00:54:625 (3,5) - these can have a bigger spacing... and they can be closer to the jumps...
            8. 01:05:500 (5,6,7,8) - uhh... this is an odd pattern
            9. 01:06:000 (1,2,3,4,5) - You can smoothen up this stream
            10. 01:10:000 (1,2) - awkward break
            11. 01:19:750 (1,2) - 5x or 4x instead of 6x please !
when you fight sans he is... megalo-drainin'-ya health.
I love the flow in this mapset. Unfortunately I cannot mod the easier difficulties ( that's too bad since I played a more pacifist like run )

Loving this mapset! Although I think you should turn down the hitsounds, I saw in the editor they were set to 100% (Yikes!) and it really drowns out the song.

almost sure anyone already said this but custom names aren't allowed, only when they describe the difficulty (but they're really vague honestly),
people that havent played undertale yet wouldn't understand them.

The slider speed outside of kiai is way too high for a 3-3.75 star map, set it a little bit lower (1.2-1.4 should do the trick). Also the 8.8 AR is a little bit much, try setting it to 7-7.5

i'll just "mod" difficulty metadata since it's really awkward in this map
these are just suggestions based on other maps with similar BPM so feel free to lower/raise a tiny bit
(they're also kinda just because of the internet's form of OCD - the one where things just don't feel right)

Beginner: AR2.5-3
Medium: AR4.5-5.5
Advanced: good AR / HP4 or 4.5 to make it even
Expert: maybe AR8.7 or 9 idk it's pretty ok for reading / HP5.5-6
Expert+: good AR / HP6-6.5
Rilene's Extreme: good / good (i don't like CS, but that's just me being bad at high CS lol)
Super Attack: rename to Ultimate or Special Attack maybe? / good AR / HP6-7
Mega Super Attack (wtf spacing): rename to Special Attack or Get Dunked On? / good AR / OD9 / HP5-6 (because that's a really hard map with really high drain and i dislike being unable to pass maps because of drain lel)

If that part was mapped, I'm sure you won't enjoy playing it due to how repititive and the uninteresting rhythm it gets for whole 2 remaining minutes.

The mapping itself is great and on-beat, but Expert and Expert+ needs a bit less HP drain as it's more or less sudden death.

Hi Ameth,

nice song and nice beatmap (today I began mapping this song too :D). I see a lot of effort put into it, but I think you will have to keep working hard on it if you want to get it ranked...

I played all your beatmaps but not the last 2, and.. Oh god, you made a lot of diferent difficulty levels D:, it's takes a lot of time to make them as good as you can; you could think about discarding some of them and focus on the rest? (i.e. neutral and medium are at the same level)

Well, some general things I have noticed:

- most of your maps feel a bit better before 00:48 (the point where kiai mode starts), especially in Pacificist and Expert I noticed how the hitcircles are "following the BPM" instead of the music... in example:
Pacifist: 00:29:000 (3,4,5) - This circles doesnt feel completely wrong, but when playing I find them kind of annoying... if you listen to the music, those are not following the beats; and there is plenity of them in almost all difficulties before 48:00
After the kiai begins it looks a lot better! Its hard for me to notice something that doesn't follow the rythm, the flow feels good and there are some nice patterns. So.. I would focus on improving the first half

- There are standards in every kind of difficulty, like not putting streams en a easy one, etc.
On your beginner diff there are some "short kick sliders" (the ones that come back with an arrow at the end). They are soo easy, but maybe a newbie isn't used to them... Altho it may be too boring if you delete them :l
- Expert/+ diffs: expert is actually a "difficulty category", the one over insane... You decided to use Expert as a diff name, but it can be confusing to call "Expert" a Hard diff :'D

I feel like you can still work on this by yourself a bit more before recieving detailed mods, I can make a WAY more concrete mod on separate difficulties pointing what I would modify, but I should keep doing my job now and I wonn't have much time this days (I shoulden't be doing this, hope you find it encouraging and helpful at least :'D), soo.. PM me when your map is ready for a mod!
Since Rilene's diff is just one, I'm going to mod it if I find some spare time, but I do already like this one a lot c:

And I will warn you.. It can be really detailed, " * you're gonna have a bad time. " :P

Fuck that HP drain on MEGA SUPER ATTACK, highest possible should be 5.5-6, jesus christ. For so much BPM, this circle size and the HP just don't fit well to me.

Because of the new changes (Needs 30 favs + 100 star priority) this'll probably never happen unless the mapper themself revives the map.
