00:06:640 - Missing lower pitched piano sound like in the quads before it. I think it's noticeable enough to warrant an extra note. Feels kinda awkward without it. You'll probably want to change the columns being anchored if you do apply this.
i don't actually hear anything different here, maybe it's just me? i'll wait until someone else points it out00:07:252 - Same as above. Also, note that the hihats start here, not at 00:07:864 - though I'm not entirely sure if you ignored the hihat here to create more impact on the next piano quad.
not intending to map the hi-hats, they mess with the structure of this section00:07:558 - ~ 00:07:864 - I think there is a 1/3 hihat roll here but I'm not entirely sure about the snap as the volume is pretty small. Might not have much impact even if you ignored it tho.
ignoring the hi-hat here00:08:783 - ~ 00:09:089 - Same as above.
and here00:09:548 - I think the hihat here is quite noticeable. I think it should be treated the same as the one at 00:10:160 -
added this one00:15:058 - & 00:13:987 - The piano sounds here are lower pitched bass-like chords, similar to the one at 00:13:681 - which you ignored. Considering that these piano notes did not modify any layering in other places they appear (eg. 00:13:069 - , 00:13:222 - , 00:13:681 - , 00:13:681 - , every 1/2 at 00:14:140 - ~ 00:14:599 - , 00:14:905 - , 00:15:058 - , etc.)
i removed the one at 13:987 but the one at 15:058 is staying for now since i think the piano sound there seems a lot more obvious then the others you pointed outThis issue is probably one of the biggest reasons for Oceanus being so hard to map as its piano is based on a polyphony of 2 piano melody/chord groups (just like the right hand and left hand portions of a common piano piece.) The higher pitched piano sounds represent the main melody, which seems to be what you are intending to map, and the lower pitched piano chords. I feel that you'll have to separate the two melodies instead of grouping them together as simply "piano".
welp 00:15:671 - That means that the piano sound here, is also just another one of those lower pitched piano chords. Just seemingly slightly louder than the others. Note that the lower pitched piano chord at 00:16:589 - is probably just as loud, or louder, than the one here.
the one at 15:671 complements the main melody whereas the one at 16:589 seems kind of extraneous, somehow. i'm not really mapping technically but more for the feeling the sounds give? this isn't a music simulator after all, it's a rhythm game.00:21:793 - Missing piano note here as well. I'll probably stop pointing out missing piano sounds/confusion of lower and higher piano melodies from here as I'm not entirely sure if you'll accept it or not.
same reasoning as above!00:22:023 (22023|1,22099|2,22176|1,22252|2,22329|1,22405|2) - This trill feels kinda awkward imo.
rearranged the notes in the vicinity to fix this!00:29:905 - ~ 00:30:671 - Feels way too trilly imo. I think bumps the difficulty here by quite a lot which is quite contrasting to the nearly anchor-less streams and somewhat sparse chords that appeared before this.
i made it even more trilly to make it easier:00:51:946 - ~ 00:53:171 - It might be a bit too left hand heavy though I'm not sure if you intended it as the piano pitches are pretty low here.
i'll just say i intended it because it plays nicely and what you said makes sense, haha00:53:171 (53171|2,53324|4) - Switch columns to reduce anchor at column 5? It's probably the first 4 note long anchor in a non-stream section.
i made this change but not sure how much it'll affect gameplay, seems like a relatively trivial anchor since this part isn't so dense00:56:232 - ~ 00:56:844 - This feels heavier on the left hand mostly due to the trill at column 1&2. Note that there are 4 note long anchors at columns 2 and 6.
did some rearranging to fix this01:09:165 (69165|2,69242|3,69319|2,69395|3,69472|2,69548|3,69625|2,69701|3,69778|2) - Not sure if this trill is intentional. The anchor on the left index finger is longer btw.
i had to rearrange like the whole section but i did it anyway haha01:20:415 - ~ 01:21:334 - This is pretty mashy despite other parts similarly dense are more trilly and chaotic (like the part with the trill I mentioned above.) I feel that this part should be harder than the previous dense sections as it marks the end of the first kiai (the piano stream section) and transitions into a more calmer section.
i personally see this as winding down to an easier section, so it's less hard to make the transition from hard to easy. also the drums here don't sound as harsh as in previous sections?Other than a few anchors/long trills/missing or extra piano notes, I don't think I can point out anything later in the map as it is a bit too hard for me to mod at the moment (I can't pass the rest of the map though it might be due to the fact that I suck at trills a lot.)
