Hello!

Last weekend I released a browser extension which allows one to calculate the pp values for a beatmap directly on the beatmap's page. I initially posted this on reddit and it got a great response, so I decided to post it here too. The extension works on both the new (new.ppy.sh) and the old (osu.ppy.sh) site, but only supports standard mode (sorry about that drummers, fruit catchers and keyboard smashers).

The extension is not guaranteed to be 100% correct and new features are under development.
The project is 100% open source: https://github.com/oamaok/ezpp

Installation

Chrome/Chromium

https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... bnaafdniol

Firefox

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ezpp/

Opera

First, install this extension: https://addons.opera.com/fi/extensions/ ... tension-9/
Then just install the Chrome extension from the Google Web Store.

It's not 100% correct like you said, but it still gives a pretty good expectation of what the amount of pp will be.
Overall it looks pretty good, and is fairly accurate. Thanks for sharing. :)
Kibbleru
wow that's pretty cool xD nice.
Ashishgup
This is a pretty cool extension and is quite accurate. Thanks :)

I am now sad that it only supports standard ;w;

Are you going to update this so that it works on the new beatmap webpages as well?

It actually used to work on the new pages as well, but the URLs have since changed and I've yet to update it. I'll put it on my TODO.

It stopped working few days ago... Now it's all red with a message "t.match(..) is null"...

Not too perfect but still nice job :)
Einja
Great job, time to calculate all the plays on how not getting 1x100 would have made a HUGE difference in pp. ;-;

Hey people! Long time no ocean!

Some nice updates this time around. The Firefox version got republished after some time offline, but that's not the main beef. Thanks to acrylic-style's (https://github.com/acrylic-style) efforts we now have taiko as a supported gamemode! Not all mods are implemented for taiko though, as we don't include a star rating calculator with the code.

In addition to including taiko mode we have the following updates:
  1. Add Swedish traslation (thanks to https://github.com/Walavouchey)
  2. Calculator code refactoring
  3. Minor stylistic improvements
..and some stuff from v1.9.0:

  1. Display AR (thanks to acrylic-style)
  2. Fix BPM display for HT (thanks to acrylic-style)
  3. Add Hungarian translations (thanks to https://github.com/Tudi20)
  4. Add Turkish translations (thanks to https://github.com/EmirhaN998)
  5. Update pp calculation package https://github.com/Francesco149/ojsama, meaning calculations should take the pp updates mostly into account https://github.com/hesch)
The latest version was just pushed for review, so it will take some time for it to update.

Calculating pp gain towards beatmaps, may seem convenient for most, but I mean, you can already use Tillerino to show the potential of the pp gain on specific beatmaps. Even then, you can also look at some individuals that are in the top 50, if they are showed to use no mods or mods, the potential pp gain. Not saying that your efforts are void, but just saying there are alternative methods to understanding how much pp you're going to get from a beatmap. Feel free to continue your efforts in making a pp calculator as an alternative towards individuals.

With more than 50,000 users on Chromium based browsers alone, I think it is valuable to keep the extension up to date.

I don't know if I'm to dumb to use the tool.
I tried it on an easy map and this was the prediction: https://ibb.co/bHLFg4G (14pp).
And the result was: https://ibb.co/CWFyfq1 (1pp).
Have I done something wrong? If so how do I use it correctly?
Edit: I'm just stupid and haven't seen the +14 on top, please don't reply I know I'm dumb.
