This will be my last ranked map (like 98% sure that this is it because nobody seem to care about my maps and I lost every piece of motivation). In addition to that, this is the best map I've ever made - the peak of my mapping... let's call it "career". So if you somehow care enough to open this spoilerbox, please appreciate this map as much as the map deserves in your opinion. I put lots of hours and effort into this map, please try to enjoy the map - I'd really appreciate it!! :)

  1. 00:00:603 (1) – This spinner is just for the drain time. ._. Could you shorten it so that I don’t have to get RSI before I even start playing?
  2. 00:26:208 (1) – Why NC this?
  3. 00:29:552 (2,3) – Fix blanket here and at 00:30:316 (4,5).

  5. 00:38:342 (7) – Strong note on this downbeat, I would change it to a circle that spaced pretty far away.
  6. 00:48:851 (4,5,1) – Awkward to play. It’s up to you if you wanna change it because it breaks flow pretty hard.
  7. 00:57:355 (1) - ? One note NC? Wasn’t done here 01:01:654 (1,2) so why there?
  8. 01:19:998 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4) – Just asking to be noteblocked imo. There’s a reason you don’t see streams like this in ranked very often. This is precisely why. It overlaps itself in a weird place so you end up hitting a further note at the same time of the note you’re currently on, leading to a broken combo. Argument: “blame the player for not following the stream correctly!” I think this is a bad argument because a stream should be easy to follow at this difficulty. If you’re mapping 7* it’s a different story. Here again: 01:33:756 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) aaand 01:49:807 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4). I don’t wanna say remap the streams. I really don’t. Maybe it’s just me. If somebody else complains about it, do take into consideration.
  9. 02:32:036 (3,4) – What? Is this spacing intended? If so, why? And if not, please fix it.
  10. 02:40:922 (12,1) – Looks ugly with how close the circle is. Up to you with what you wanna do with this.
  11. 03:16:941 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - … Almost impossible for players at this level to hit I’d say.
  12. 03:42:164 – Honestly this kiai could start at the beginning of the solo.
  13. 04:19:902 (2,3,4) – I don’t get it. This doesn’t fit, please change it so the stream curves better.
  14. 05:03:278 (1) – Slider probably would be nicer to play than a spinner.

I think you'd choose also the first thing. I also cant lower the length of it because yeah... everything else than from the very beggining wouldnt be fitting imo

- 00:48:851 (4,5,1,2) - The position of the 3-stack breaks the flow. Maybe put these notes like this : https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6366483

- 01:00:890 (3,4,5) - Some people may misread this part (1/4 instead of 1/3) so don't use the same spacing for that small stream so it stands out from the rest. Also it's smoother when you link the sliderwith the stream like this : https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6366537

this is just a mostly personal opinion(- 01:06:240 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,5) - like this :https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6366609/https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6366622 it's feeling better )

- 01:10:444 (4,5) - Why no 2-stack like the others inc (01:12:737 (2,3) /01:13:501 (5,6)). I have also problems to read the two notes for some reason when they are like this. :arrow: Ouups, I saw that one of the other modders suggest that pattern :/ : well it's up to you to decide ^^

- 01:33:374 (2,3) - here I would put a slider like this:https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6366709 because the beat on the 3rd note is very weak

- 01:35:285 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1,2) - You can put a NC at the 5th note and 01:36:431 (3,4,5,6) - a NC on the 4th note. Looks/fits better imo

- 02:08:915 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3) - The overlapping circles could cause problems in reading this part because 1,2,3 have the same sound and it won't fit when you overlap two of them but not all of them. I took an other option because it felt better: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6366808

- 04:21:909 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,1,2,3,4,1) - Here you have a circlemoving because of the kickslider 04:21:909 (1,2,3,4) but then you destroy the flow by putting the stream in the top-right corner. The stream is going anticlockwise while you move your cursor clockwise when you play the kickslider part.
Turn the stream+following slider like this:https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6366907/https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/6366912 then the whole part is going clockwise

I know my english is not the best/ my kind of writng is a bit....wierd but i hope i could help you ^^
Also I like your style in this map, it felt new/fresh compared to the rest of ranked maps who are coming out lately so i hope your map can be ranked too.

  1. Really personal here but to me AR and OD are a bit high for the bpm, i mean it is a stream fest, pretty dense and at times with a decently high spacing on the stream but to me AR9 would fit better, about the OD idk it's just in general something lower could feel better as the bpm is pretty low

  2. 00:25:730 (10) - this could use a clap aswell since it has that loud drum snare unlinke (8,9) so an additional hitsound sounds appropriate here
  3. 00:25:922 (1,2,3,4,5,6) - I kinda tought this was gonna be reverse in terms of ds spacing, first 3 sound a bit more powerful so expected this to be the bigger spacing, also gives back a speed up kick to 00:26:495 (1) - which is nicer emphasizing imo

There is no buildup nor constant sound going on here, except random ambiance in the background, which is part of the lead-in. I understand that you need this spinner for the sake of having your map be 5 minutes of drain time, but to be honest it really doesn't fit. I think it would be much better if you could edit the mp3 to where the song itself was longer instead. I won't blame you if you deny changing it though, adding even 10 seconds of drain time can sometimes be difficult, but keep in mind that this is likely to be brought up in the future as well.

  2. 00:20:380 (6) - Something tells me that NC was forgotten here. Straying from your regular once-every-downbeat pattern seems questionable here.

  3. There seem to be more NC problems, let me just put them all here.

    1. 00:23:437 - Beginning of a new stanza, NC this.

    2. 00:24:966 - Downbeat, see no reason to ignore this.

    3. 00:46:367 - Why would these beats in particular start being NCed now? Refer to 00:40:253 - 00:41:781 - . Consider NCing 00:45:985 - instead. Do this for the following ones as well. Like you did at 00:49:043 - .

In this case the stressed points would be 00:35:667 - 00:35:953 - 00:36:240 - 00:36:431 - 00:36:718 - 00:37:004 - 00:37:195 - . There are multiple ways you could solve this, but the easiest way would probably be to simply move 00:36:049 (1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1,2,3,4,1) - over 00:35:953 (4) - and change the NCs accordingly.
    ^ 00:55:062 - 00:55:348 - 00:55:539 - 3/4 emphasis pattern continues in later parts as well.

  5. I'll put most stream-related stuff here.
    1. 00:55:157 (1,2,3,4) - This stream looks unintentional. Wouldn't it be better to shape it like 00:54:775 (1,2,3,4) - and flip and rotate a bit? If you want emphasis, try turning 00:55:348 (3,4) - into a 1/2 slider and spacing it a bit from 00:55:539 (1) - . Like you did at 00:56:113 (7,1) - .

    2. 00:59:743 (5,6,7,8) - Any reason to turn the stream here? As far as I can hear, the song isn't changing pitch or emphasizing any elements around here, so keeping it circular along with 00:59:361 (1,2,3,4) - would reflect this better, in my opinion.

    3. 01:09:297 (1,2,3,4) - Is this curve intentional? It looks like it's supposed to be straight but failed near the end.

    4. 01:24:584 (1,2,3,4,5) - What is the purpose of this stream's appearance? Does it reflect the music? Is it meant to accent the snare like 01:21:718 - does? Either way, it doesn't look very aesthetically consistent with any other stream in this section and the sounds aren't exactly unique here. This applies to many other parts as well. If you're going to use a specific shape for a reoccuring part, try using it more than once for consistency.
      ^ 01:25:730 (1,2,3,4) - Same can be said for this stream and it's NC.
  6. 01:00:890 (3,4,5) - This spacing looks a bit strange. Is the DS supposed to be consistent?

They're being used as pre-snare drum-kicks, together with 01:03:565 (5) - and 01:05:093 (5) - respectively, and are therefore emphasized and recognizable in the song. Consider mapping these beats in a way that will emphasize them from the streams.

  8. 01:06:240 (1,2,1,2) - What stops 01:07:769 (1,3) - from being the same as the previous two? The vocals are similar here, after all.

  9. 01:06:813 - Regarding intensity of these sections, I don't see why there streams all over in this part, yet in it's parallel hypermeasure at 01:12:259 - , there are just a few sliders and circles. I can get behind changing the intensity at 01:15:412 - , since this section sounds different. Generally you should keep intensity similar in the map for sections that sound similar in the song.

  10. 01:12:641 - 01:13:406 - The vocals are relatively prominent in the song, so skipping these will likely cause players to click on 01:12:737 (2,5) - too early.
    ^ If you're following drums, what happened to 01:11:877 - 01:12:068 - 01:12:832 - 01:13:406 - 01:13:597 - etc?

  11. 01:16:941 (1,2) - The aesthetics in the map appears to be lacking, from what I can see. Usually you'd want objects to be shaped, rotated and positioned in ways that are recognizable from previous objects (not just the recent, but ones in the whole section). This way if something sounds similar, it will also be visible when comparing the aesthetics, as well as rhythm, of the two sections. The reason why I pointed out these two objects in particular is because they're very individually focused; they're not interacting with anything around them or being aesthetically consistent. They're just sort of there for the sake of being there.

    • Take the beginning as an example. 00:14:265 (1) - 00:19:616 (5) - 00:29:552 (1) - These shapes are consistent, and recognizable. 00:14:839 (2,3) - 00:16:558 (3,4) - 00:18:469 (4,1) - 00:24:011 (2,3) - Blankets are also consistent, as they're appearing frequently throughout the section. Then there's symmetry, parallel objects, formations, etc, etc.

      There's also the concept of rotation consistency; keeping objects aligned to some imaginary axis(es) on the playfield. Making all sliders 5 to 15 degree rotations from completely horizontal or completely vertical is an example of this. The technique is mainly used as a way to ensure aesthetic consistency within the map; forcing yourself to make objects similar to previous objects, which in turn makes things recognizable as a pattern.

      For more about aesthetics I'd recommend you take a look at these two videos in particular, osu!mapping: concepts and osu!mapping: aesthetics.

      Anyway, it's something to play around with. We'll ignore aesthetics for now and continue the mod, unless there's something worth mentioning.
  12. 02:37:864 - I'd have placed a note here for consistency with what you did at 02:42:068 - . Having an awkward pause here when the drums are still rolling feels a bit strange.

  13. 03:15:890 (2,3) - Try swapping these. This way the drums will be on clicks and 03:16:081 - won't be overemphasized.

  14. 03:21:813 - 03:22:100 - 03:22:291 - The volume of these sounds a bit low, consider increasing it slightly.

  15. 04:48:469 (7) - Just a reminder that the turns in streams look a bit misplaced when comparing them to the song. You actually did it correctly at 04:54:584 - , so keep to this for consistency and better emphasis placement.

    NCs could use a rework. Consistency seems to be the main problem overall.
