My2cents: I'll review things based on relative pitch.

Can't find any issues with the other diffs. Have fun modding and reject my mod if you think it's not contributing in anyway. :3

HD diff usually qualify for HP OD 7, sometimes 8 but 7 should work since this is rather short.

00:02:066 (2066|3) - i dont think this jack works very well, since there is no PR based repetition so move this to 2
00:03:151 - https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5900488 something because i really dont like the jacks
00:05:323 - add 4 for layer consistency
00:11:656 - on this section onwards, you doubled every 1/1 snap soooo might as well double 00:07:313 - 00:08:761 - 00:10:208 - OR you can just double all the stronger sounds and not double the weaker ones for the later section like you did in the latter timestamps
00:17:627 - if the sound here is included in your layers, add note here maybe at 3, if done, 00:17:808 (17808|1) - move to 1

from here on, idk if the section is PRed so ill throw stuff

00:20:522 - any reason as to why this is a double, same case for other stuff like this, with that in mind, 00:17:627 - should definitely have a note or two, two for layer consistency, 1 for comfy layering

So basically, note placements are note placements. That's not what I'm here for. Hitsounds, hitsounds, hitsounds...

Two problems:

Problem 1
Hitsounds are not consistent.
NM left, HD right.



HD seems to be hitsounded differently at the start, which seems a little counter-intuitive to me.

Problem 2
Doubling hitsounds. Basically Problem 1 again but a variation.

EZ left, HD right.


I don't understand why double hitsounds are even used when they aren't consistent. They're far too overpowering when doubled up, especially at 65% volume, particularly the whistle hitsound. There are two options with this.

  1. Make it so that hitsounds are not doubled
  2. If you don't want the hitnormal to be heard, apply the hitsounds across all notes at that point on the entire map and apply "Auto volume balance", found in the compose tab.
Tiny other things:
EZ: 00:38:435 (38435|2) - by the way, more than one hitsound can be applied to a note, so you also put the whistle hitsound on it as well.
NM: If you wanted to you could swap the columns of 00:04:780 (4780|2,5323|1) around to have left-right hand usage on the notes in the buildup to the 1/4 burst.
HD: Could ctrl+h 00:34:997 (34997|2,35178|1,35359|2) if you so choose to to reduce the strain in col 3 a little.

I hate to look evil, doing this hours after qualification, but it's the only way I get to see these maps sometimes. Hope you understand where I'm coming from with this.

And It depends on how you can understand it in your mind.

Hitsounds can keep the concept for each part and each difficulty when It looks a intention. why not?

If it actually is not really weird, does not be a problem for the playable.

Just be respect mapper's style.

The hitsounding are intended to be having its own each respective intention and interpretation, it is alright as long as it is done consistently in its own difficulty itself, if you try to look at the intention itself, it is been really clear that it's by any means not wrong.

Why having different amount of hitsounding compared with easier difficulty is a problem? I would say it will be more natural if you keep the easier difficulties having less hitsound and less feedback compared with higher difficulties When pressing only one note. Logically speaking, i will felt really awkward if I press one note in easy diff but having the same amount of feedback as the higher difficulty which utilize more heavy chording.
Not to say you're wrong, but this map approach also not by any means wrong either. I would say this map is more optimal though.


Tiny other things:
EZ: 00:38:435 (38435|2) - by the way, more than one hitsound can be applied to a note, so you also put the whistle hitsound on it as well. same as before. the mapper intend to put only one HS if there's only one LN/note present.
NM: If you wanted to you could swap the columns of 00:04:780 (4780|2,5323|1) around to have left-right hand usage on the notes in the buildup to the 1/4 burst. basically i will say that jack usually utilize build up better due to strain in a particular column being more coherent when you talking about heavy drum sound.
HD: Could ctrl+h 00:34:997 (34997|2,35178|1,35359|2) if you so choose to to reduce the strain in col 3 a little. From what i see, it will makes the pattern too flat because basically it uses 2-1-2-1 and trill pattern in a big part of the map, having the jack is a nice rendition to ending the map with finishing touch and variation

The hitsounding basically consistent within each respective difficulties with the mappers intention being clear here, so i don't see the reason why it has to be really exact same in all diff.

i'd say hitsounding could also have variation on which instrument the mapper tries to layer so it can be different in some section to emphasize the different instrument, doesn't have to rely on hitsound copier everyday tbh
