I'm looking for a BN to check my map!

I simply just want to get this map ranked. Although this is a simple soundtrack from the game "Please, Don't Touch Anything", it should be perfect for beginners.

If this map does get ranked I will make more maps from the same game!

General
-could get some custom hitsounds

Hard
00:12:436 (2,3,4) - kinda bothers me that this curve is so slight. you could define it more or make it straight.
00:16:936 (6,1) - fix blanket
00:17:686 (1,6) - could move 5 away and stack these two
00:23:311 (8,1) - DS
00:34:749 (6) - double repeat on a 1/2 slider may confuse some people, so keep that in mind.
00:36:436 (2,3) - DS
00:44:686 (1,2) - ^ or not, the timing breaks between objects in this section are pretty large anyways.
00:49:186 (2,1) - angle the tail of 2 left a little bit, the blanket gap closes up just a little bit near the end of that slider.
00:58:186 (4,5) - fix blanket
01:06:436 (3,4,5,6) - blanket
01:10:561 (7,1) - overlap doesnt look that great
01:14:686 (1,3) - blanket, then move these 01:16:936 (4,5,6) - onto the tail of 1
01:18:061 (2,3,4,5) - small gap between 2,4 makes it looks weird imo. move 3,4,5 to the left
01:21:436 (2,3,4,5) - fix blanket. could blanket 5 around 2 as well, if you want to
01:22:936 (6,7,8,1) - fix blanket
01:32:686 (1,2) - spacing in the middle of the sliders looks pretty close, spread them out more?

Normal
00:07:186 (4,5) - fix blanket
00:13:186 (3,4) - fix blanket
00:36:061 (2,3) - could move these so that 2 blankets the tail of 00:34:936 (4) and 3 starts on the tail of 4
00:46:936 (4,1) - could blanket the same spacing all the way around 4
00:58:186 (3,4) - blanket?
01:14:686 (1,2) - try this, move down left https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5755665
01:28:186 (3,1) - spaced kinda closely, move 1 left

-so i found out that the drum-hitnormal default matches pretty closely the sounds that youre using as claps like here 00:43:936, so if you can find the file for that hitsound, its should be good. otherwise, this might work:
download this map https://osu.ppy.sh/s/444099 and look for the file "normal-hitfinish2dootdootdoot" (cuz i have no idea how to upload music to the internet lol)
or you could use that as a normal-hitnormal so it matches 00:43:561
-you can try out these hitsounds for sounds like this 00:44:686
"normal-hitfinish2" and "normal-hitfinish2doot" in map above
-as for the whistles, i dont know if i have anything close to the background music but if i find something ill show it to you. heres a cowbell if you want it XD "normal-hitfinish2dootdoot" in the map above
-if you need help setting up the hitsounds, find me ingame sometime and i can help you with that.

https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5762316 i moved the timing of the objects so you can see everything. the overlap wont be as apparent when the timing is normal. if you do this, youll need to do some adjustments on the following objects as well.

Normal
00:46:936 (4,1) - could blanket the same spacing all the way around 4 Not sure what you mean here.
this https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5762370 move in the white anchor a little bit so the curve doesnt stick out as much. if you make this change, copypaste the slider for 00:49:186 (2).

Hello, m4m.
Consider reducing Hard's AR to 6. If you deny, please increase Normal's AR so the mapset is more coherent. Also just reduce Hard's OD to 5 so it does 3 -> 4 -> 5.

[Easy]
00:36:061 - I don't see any point on skipping this tbh.
01:27:436 (4) - Just move it to (364;232)
01:28:936 (5) - This is too curved compared to the rest, and it doesn't seem to emphasize anything.
00:34:186 (4) - Move it to (x;208) ? Your map looks rather tidy and clean so let's keep that idea
00:57:811 - Add something, sounds much better
01:05:311 - ^

[Normal]
00:08:686 (1,2) - They don't sound the same so consider changing one of them into circles.
00:11:686 (1) - It just flows strangely actually tbh.
00:14:686 - Make it clickable ? It plays probably better since 00:15:061 - is pretty weak.
00:50:686 (1) - Can you pull it down ? It touches the HP bar.
00:55:186 (3) - Same as earlier, there's no reason to its shape.
01:09:624 - add something ?
01:14:686 (1) - Add some circles for diversity
01:19:186 (3) - Make it less curved so it looks cleaner ?

[Hard]
00:14:686 (1) - Consider finishing it at red tick so you can make the 4 sounds at 00:15:249 - 00:15:249 - 00:15:624 - 00:15:811 - clickable.
00:16:186 (5,6) - Same issue.
00:18:811 (5) - Move it down, it actually kills circular flow.
01:13:749 (7) - Use circles for consistency (and because it plays better) please.
01:19:561 (7,8) - I can't see a reason for this stack
01:32:686 (1,2) - Just make them perfectly symmetrical so it looks neat.

Clean map, good luck and sorry for the delay.

consider tick rate 2, because there are a lot of drums in between sliders

00:05:686 (1,2) - Improvable blanket - https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5831424

00:17:686 (1,2) - Consider making these the same shape. (You can ctrl+j either of htem)

00:24:436 (2) - ctrl+h the shape, so it flows better into 00:25:936 (3) -

00:35:311 (5) - I think this can just be a hit circle, there isn't really much of a sound on the downbeat worth mapping. Alternatlive, make it a long slider from 00:35:311 - to 00:36:061 -

00:49:186 (2,3) - improvable blanket https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5831452 (notice approach circle isn't lined up with the circle)

01:07:186 (2,3) - ctrl+h 2 and shape it so that it fits perfectly inside of 3, makes this look nicer.

[Normal]

00:05:686 (1,2) - These can flow better, perhaps angle 1 up a bit

00:13:186 (3,4,5) - This overlap doesn't look good. I suggest moving 5 down so that it's not under 3.

00:52:186 (2,1) - kinda weird flow, but I suppose it might be fine because of the long duration between the two notes.

Nice diff.

[Hard]

00:18:061 (3,4,5) - move 5 up so that this pattern isn't visually dense (right now 5 is almost touching 3)

00:28:561 (6,7,8) - this doesn't flow too well, maybe angle 8 to the right some.

00:39:436 (2,3) - Not a fan of these shapes :V

01:04:749 (6,7,1,2) - This overlap plays weird and looks weird. I suggest using a different pattern instead.

cool mapset, good luck!

00:52:186 (2,1) - kinda weird flow, but I suppose it might be fine because of the long duration between the two notes. Ok, if someone in the future talks about this, i'll change it.

Nice diff. Thanks!

[Hard]

00:18:061 (3,4,5) - move 5 up so that this pattern isn't visually dense (right now 5 is almost touching 3) Changed.

00:28:561 (6,7,8) - this doesn't flow too well, maybe angle 8 to the right some. ^

00:39:436 (2,3) - Not a fan of these shapes :V But it fits into the map, doesn't it?

01:04:749 (6,7,1,2) - This overlap plays weird and looks weird. I suggest using a different pattern instead Solution that probably works: flip the map from 1:04:749 horizontally, move the notes.

cool mapset, good luck! Thanks! ;)

01:07:186 (2,3) - ctrl+h 2 and shape it so that it fits perfectly inside of 3, makes this look nicer. Nooooo, nonono. Absolutely not! I'm that type of mapper which 100% dislikes overlaps. I knew this suggestion would come up (Your map shows it.) XDDDDDD
i just meant this for the shape, i didnt mean to actually overlap them lol

ctrl+h, shape the slider, then ctrl+h it back and reposition :V

What I checked in your mapset:
Metadata (everything in your mapset folder, sizes etc.), Rankable issues, Background design and Combo colouring, Combo patterns, Pattern blankets, Hitsound patterns, flow and transition between elements, patterns matching the song and reasonable spacing.

General

> The appearance suggestions are minor and can be ignored. The mapset is full of blankets that scream for perfect symmetry so I pointed them out for the ones that I noticed needing more clean up.

> The BG image you chose is pretty dark in colours. Only the first one matches the BG colours. The combo colour 2 is a little bit too neon bright for it to match the BG. Same goes for combo colour 4. Additionally, the 3rd one is a tint too light for the mint colour in the BG. Try making the mint green a little bit darker to match the BG mint. You can use 3 shades of green to fit with this BG. They would match your BG perfectly. The BG also contains Black but this is unrankable. Try these:
[Colours]
Combo1 : 65,115,85
Combo2 : 200,240,206
Combo3 : 140,190,130

Easy

Apperance:
These blanket combos could be angled better to fit the shapes of the upcoming slider / to surround the circle better. Check this osu!wiki https://osu.ppy.sh/wiki/Formation_Techn ... ket_Combos
This goes for: 00:05:686 (1,2) - 00:25:936 (3,4) - 00:43:561 (2,3) - ( could be more linear again ) 01:08:686 (3,4) - (move the ending point a bit left and up, the middle one a bit more to the right https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5915533 same on this one 01:19:186 (2,3) - ) 01:28:936 (5,1) -
00:31:186 (2,3) - The slider 3 isn't perfectly linear with the end of the previous slider 2. Since it's a reversed slider, you can easily fix this. You could also turn the ending of the slider 2 a little bit to the right. Screen: From this http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5915441 to https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5915450 OR https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5915455 This will make the transition better between the elements and look more clean.
00:35:311 (5,1) - These two look a bit off together since they both look really similar in shape. Create a different shape of the NC slider to prevent this or you could also copy paste 00:35:311 (5) - flip it horizontally, press Ctrl + G(or go to Edit>Reverse Selection) and rotate it by -70°. That way it will look cleaner. Screen: http://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5915501 Don't forget to fix the hitsounds after.
00:59:686 (1,2) - The ending point and middle point of slider 2 could be moved a bit higher to make it look more parallel between the two endings of both sliders.. Screen: https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5915517

Combo:
01:34:936 (1) - The NC at the end isn't necessary and wrong at the same time. It concludes the previous pattern and difficulty, thus it should be removed.

> NOTE: "Combos are usually placed to either match the vocal/musical phrases or to indicate the downbeat of each measure. In special cases, combos are used in indicating any discrepancies in spacing or slider velocity." Source: https://osu.ppy.sh/wiki/Modding
You don't have a pattern that follows this NC, nor have a jump to justify a NC, a slider velocity or spacing change.

Normal

Appearance:
00:44:686 (1,3) - The parallel distance between those is a tiny bit bigger than the one from 00:46:186 (3,4) - . Make them the same distance by moving 00:46:186 (3) - 1 grid down.
01:03:061 (1,2) - Move 01:04:186 (2) - 2 grids right and down. It'll make the distance snapping between 01:03:061 (1,2) - and 01:04:186 (2,3) - perfect. It also looks cleaner.
01:08:686 (1,2,3) - The middle circle would create a linear transition if you move it up by a few grids. It would make the transition from the previous linear slider to the curved one that follows a lot better I find. https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5915716

Possible unrankable issues:
01:26:686 (1) - This slider hits the accuracy bar at the bottom when it's on and the slider also almost is out of playfield area. You should move the slider higher to fix this issue. https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5915729 (Consider checking this in the other difficulties as well. I didn't see any overlapping with the HP bar at the top but you can check and make sure.)

Hard

Spacing and Appearance:
00:11:686 (5) - 00:15:811 (4) - The element is out of line with the previous and following spacing settings. Aside from that, that tiny jump doesn't fit. It might be intentional but it's out of line with the song. It's only at it's beginning and in general isn't very exciting and jumpy. At that point in particular I see no reason why you'd change the spacing to create a tiny jump that doesn't match the song. Move it towards the previous element until it snaps with the distance snap setting.
00:23:686 (1) - 00:29:686 (1) - Same like above. It doesn't match the song and that spacing change makes no sense. You also changed back to 0,8 straight after. Only because the KIAI time started/ended it doesn't mean you should change the spacing. It would just look and play off.
00:13:936 (6) - Check the distance snap on this one. It's a bit too far away from the following slider. Simply move it up a tiny bit. Besides, your beginning is symmetrical. If you'd make this whole pattern 00:12:624 (3,4,5,6) - symmetrical as well, the tiny spacing problem would solve by itself. https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5915764 The reversed slider matches the height of the circle when flipped horizontally. https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5915764
01:32:686 (1,2) - Totally awkward spacing issue that has to be fixed. It's clearly visible and self-explanatory. Why don't you try something like that to fix it. https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5915857
00:35:686 (1,2) - Create a nicer and cleaner looking blanket between those two sliders. The ending of 00:36:436 (2) - should be moved a bit lower for it to match the shape of the previous one as intended. https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5915816 Same goes for: 01:14:686 (1,2) - 01:16:186 (3,4) - (noticed the approach circle for 01:16:936 (4) - https://osu.ppy.sh/ss/5915835 almost touching the edge of the slider 01:16:186 (3) - , 01:17:311 (6,1) - 00:16:936 (6,1) - 00:20:311 (10,1) - 01:21:436 (2,5) - (move the slider lower and left by 1 grid)
00:44:686 (1,2,1,2,1,2,1,2) - The spacing on the vary from 0,6 to 0,8. The music gets a lot lower and less exciting at this point. Try to use only 0,6 or even 0,7 to match not only the music but also to keep your spacing consistent. The change to 0,8 at 00:56:686 (1) - is totally fine since the music changes again.

Overall
A really solid map that doesn't require much more work. It mosty needs more clean up on the blankets and spacings parts. The patterns match with the song. The hitsounds are appropriately chosen and have a nice pattern, rhythmically matching the song. Well done!
