I can't accept this mapset being ranked, difficulties' names are really confusing. Who is HulaVoli? Tesla isn't even in tags, sucks you guys forgot about him. Also Aprhimigon's really hard is just remotely hard I can do that without much effort. Hopefully you can avoid these mistakes in the future, good luck with requalifing.

Itss rankable, there is actually some room out of the grid that is still on screen, the editor grid is slightly smaller than the actual in-game playfield to avoid any arguements/mistakes, but it is rankable

Dropping my two cents, since Hula told me to mae a post...

GN's Medium is quite inconsistent about spacing and NC choice.

  1. 00:42:601 (1) - 1.00 > 1.20 for no real reason of emphasis. It just makes the structure look unpolished.
  2. 00:43:478 (3,4) - Compare the spacing there to here, and you see it goes from 1.20 to 0.83. The spacing's are just so widely different in such a short timeframe.
  3. 00:46:811 (4,1,2) - To a lesser extent, you can see it here too.
  4. 00:47:337 (1,2) - Shouldn't the NC be swapped here? You've been NC'ing to every 2nd measure up until here.
  5. 00:49:267 (1) - And this shouldn't be NC"ed. It should instead be on 00:50:671 (4) - ., And consequently 00:52:074 (1) - should have its NC removed.
  6. 00:54:180 (2,1,2) - Spacing here is also noticeably uneven.
  7. 01:06:636 - Also, the blue combo color really blends into the BG here. You might want to use a different combo color here
  8. 01:56:636 (1) - You NC here but not 02:02:074 (3) - . It seems inconsistent and I like the 2-measure approach better.
  9. 02:05:934 (1,2) - Same as earlier, the NC's should be swapped, and you should NC on the 2nd downbeat because right now, you're swapping between one-measure patterns, and two-measure patterns, and it's resulting in places like 02:09:267 - which should be NC'ed (start of a new stanza) being left as part of a previous combo.

really? an attempt to revenge DQ?

it's obviously fine to mod qualified maps with how the system currently works but trying to target a map out of personal antagonism because of your own map is low.

Your issues with the DS stuff. I remember GN saying something along the lines of that he was heavily pattern-orientated when making this map. It's not meant to be a totally standard diff, and I like that for the level of difficulty his diff is aimed at. It's different, it's variety in its least extreme forms for new/low skilled osu! players. When you look at the map from a pattern perspective, it looks really nice. Thanks for your concern though :)


About the colour thing. It's fine, it's turquoise against dark blue, on the SB. Otherwise, turn off the SB, no problems.

Looking at the past mods, the DS things with GN's diff were thoroughly revised many times already (since it used to be the easiest difficulty), and that is why Hula decided to add an easier difficulty. I see no reason to further discuss these points.

Can agree, normals or above easies can break DS minorly without it really being a problem.

I asked you to mod the taikos about 5 billion times on this set fyi, could've asked me the many months it was pending :p, and cos it's kurosanyan, a pro taiko mapper o/

It's not a real problem when it comes to overall play but our guidelines specify 1.4 for a reason (best readability by consensus).

But, this won't affect how much people like the map too much, right? D: And to be quite honest I didn't know there was a suggested SV guideline thing for taiko, but the SV never got brought up before this.

As I said, it's totally fine but it was worth mentioning. Just so it doesn't get out of hand lol

In 99% of the cases SV1.4 is better, though. (2.1 for 1/3 snapped low BPM songs, 2.8 for really low BPM songs, 0.7 for really high BPM, etc.)

i never heard about monstrata's mod and the more i look at that map again the more i suspect it was replaced with an earlier version before the time i respaced every object in the map. it's too late to do something about it now though. i see the NCs as a subjective thing and think they work just fine
