Probably change the title to Ooi, as the composer seems edited the title on Soundcloud.
thanks for this, kwan :3IamKwaN wrote:
nah what i linked is actually from O2i3's soundcloud : https://soundcloud.com/o2i3/o2i3-ooi-game-edit
but seems they only change the title on soundcloud, so I guess I could let the current title slip through.

[Standard]
01:33:417 (1,2) - Unlike other patterns in this diff, this seemed to be one of the weakest pattern with a lacking correlationshilp between two sliders. Mind a rework?
[Advanced]
01:04:528 (1,2,1,2) - The curve rate gets lower as time passes. Is it intended? Personally using all same curve rates will look more consistent.
01:20:083 (1) - Remove NC and add at 01:21:195. That way will make the setting and the pattern consistent with 01:23:417 (4,1).
[Hyper]
00:07:306 (3,4) - Personally a blanket seems to be better in reading than an overlap, but it's up to you.
00:14:806 (4) - This long note in this section feels really not matching the atmosphere. Placing where 00:13:972 (2) is seems to be just enough. This much spacing was too much imo.
00:34:528 (1,2,1) - The patterning here along this combo setting feels confusing in reading. Removing the jump in 00:35:083 (2,1) is strongly recommended.
00:46:056 (2,3,4,1,2,1) - The large spacing selection made the reading of 00:47:306 (1,2,1) little fishy. Consider using this kind of pattern with an advanced ds knowledge. ctrl+G of 00:47:306 (1) might discern the spacing better. http://puu.sh/pArGN/82c1bcc43a.jpg
01:18:417 (3) - This should be 1.20x sv multiplier.
01:46:195 (4,1) - Even it's a slider jump, this seems a bit too much on this level at this part of the song.
[Another]
00:52:861 (3) - Consider NC to discern 1234.
01:45:361 (4) - Consider NC for a better pattern reading.
[Expert]
01:08:313 (4) - Bubble pop.
[Gameover]
00:44:945 (5) - I'd like you to add NC here for a better readability.
00:52:861 (5) - Consider NC to discern 1234. Same for Extreme. well i guess im gonna keep this yeah streams needs follow points for me
01:35:917 (2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) - The stream shape doesn't seem to be cool enough, especially the sharp flow of 01:35:986 (3). Consider reworking this stream, using convert slider to stream? i like this stream shape ;-;

It's a reference to Kantai Collection, Ooi and Kitakami are paired together because the real world ship counterparts were paired together a lot too, they were on same missions together, they got retired together. So they became a yuri pairing and then later fans turned it into obsession for both sides.Loctav wrote:

The entire map is a joke, did you listen to the "hitsounds"? The BG goes well with those. Before complaining about the BG which is indeed questionable I would take a look at the map itself.Loctav wrote:

whether or not its based on a joke not many ppl will say that the mapset lacks qualityLoctav wrote:
I find it questionable to turn mapping and actual in-game content mostly around "jokes", running gags or other general idiocity lately. Don't want to be the fun police, but I would rather ask for actual quality content then for tryharding to be funny at every inch a day.
It's probably fine, if it's not dominating the entire content we have here.
I still disagree with the BG tho, mostly because of the utterly retarded pseudo-meme caption that doesn't make much sense in my head.

I am, 100% against this mapping. This is not capturing the music, this mapping can be applied to any song and it would be the same. Why on earth did you ignore ever single bit of rhythmic variety in 1/4ths? You literally spamed 1/2 jumps and forgot the idea of actually trying to map to the song.

i don't get what you mean it's pure 1/2 (strongest beat ever), some of 1/4s just an illusion (maybe you looks at editor with 25% speed when the reality is you need to map this with all 1/2), you sick bro :<Xexxar wrote:

01:34:528 (1,2,3,4) - why? theres very powerful/noticeable 1/4s here. i checked the last 7 pages (up to 7 months ago to make sure i didnt miss anything)
btw i just wanna ask, why isnt there any 1/4s in the kiai? there are plenty of opportunities to place 1/4s, especially on a ultra style diff like this. well dont get me wrong its super fun to play, but it sorta looks like a jump training map lol
also mapping is kinda messy for the whole map but that might be just me (pretty sure it isnt tho ;w;). like it has jumps everywhere just coz its a "Game Over" diff. *looks at Highscore* >.>

the story when osu + BG = serious businessWafu wrote:
I need to agree here. Honestly, I don't see much sense in that "Party Hard" thing, like okay it would maybe fit to the song, but the image doesn't make sense. Graphically, it is quite a low quality, you can see it's quite pixelated and the drawing skill isn't really much attractive. Apart from that, a girl (whose head is cut off) tickling another girl is not much related to "party hard" text, tickling has nothing to do with party in my opinion.
But so I don't only complain about the background, it's way too much a troll. Yes, I mapped a troll song too, but the way it would make sense. Putting "meme sounds" for hitsounds without any context is just not sane anymore and doesn't make the map more fun, but just more troll. Rather than focusing on funny hitsounds, maybe there should be more focus on sane and logical hitsounds. Replacing soft-hitfinish30 should definitely be done, it is very noisy and choppy. 01:44:528 - part sounds very messy when it comes to hitsounds.
Map quality is nothing big either, minimal relation to music and almost repetitive star patterns don't improve it much.
