no kudosu as I already got
Omg sorry for being late...
[General]
* As far as I know, if you don't have a storyboard, you need to turn off Widescreen Support.
* You can literally cut off after 300ms on soft-hitwhistle3.wav. It's 100% muted after that, so it only makes the file bigger to have 1400ms muted section. (wav file is really big compared to mp3)
* 00:37:911 - 01:39:626 - 02:33:626 - I think it's much better to start the kiais on here and also start NC from here. You know, there's a 'foundation effect' when the kiai is triggered. It's better when it appears on the downbeat and also the instruments together start to be intense.
[Easy]
So you made an easier diff now, that's good.
* On the first place, if you'd make an easier diff than Normal, I hoped it doesn't have any 1/2 beats at all (not red line, but the gaps or 1/2 sliders) as Normal is already an easy Normal. Having 1/2 beats itself is pretty hard, so there's not much gap between Easy and Normal now. It's not a big problem, but to be honest, you could never use any 1/2s on this diff and go with 2/1 beats primarily.
Another thing that bugs me is that, since the sv is extremely slow on this diff, 1/2 sliders look really short, and I think it's even harder for newbies to 'read' such gaps. In the perspective of newbies, readability is much more important than just being slow.
It's still enough to be the lowest diff (and to be named as an Easy), so it should be fine. Just my 2 cents that could make this mapset more balanced.
* 00:09:840 (3) - 00:13:268 (3) - 00:16:697 (3) - Even though they fit with the music well, as you already have that Normal to put this kind of hard rhythm, I think it's enough to keep 1/1s here. The guitar sound still supports 1/1s, so rhythm simplication would be better for newbie's gameplay.
* 00:26:983 (4) - 01:11:554 (3) - 01:14:983 (3) - Oh especially for this one, I don't think it really needs to be 1/2. Just follow consistent 1/1 drum here.
* 00:39:197 (2) - 00:41:768 (2,3) - Compare these two. The former one keeps following the drum sound even though the vocal on 00:39:411 - is the strongest. But on the latter one, you could just keep following the drum to represent 00:42:626 - 00:43:054 - but you chose the vocal there. I recommend to change the latter part because as I said, this diff doesn't really need 1/2s and I think it's more important to provide more simpler rhythm for newbies. Actually if I were you, I would use http://puu.sh/nCzYc/fb22260a1c.jpg for the former part because that's definitely really strong, while I'd use http://puu.sh/nCzZA/dc46403c9f.jpg for the latter one because it still fits with the main drums and it's easier. Same goes for similar parts, check them yourself.
* 01:03:626 (2) - Reverse a 3/2 slider? this part's drum is fun, so why not represent it? Same for 01:07:054 (2) - 02:05:341 (2) - 02:58:483 (2) - . It doesn't increase the difficulty much xD
* 01:15:626 (1) - You can reduce it to a 3/2 slider too as the vocal pitch there is strong. Oh you did it 01:29:340 (1) - nicely
* 01:52:483 (3,1) - fix this blanket
* 02:43:054 (1) - Oh this on the other hand, doesn't need to be a 3/2 because 1/1 drums are prominent here... try http://puu.sh/nCAjI/76d8b4e5f7.jpg
[Normal]
* I think you could use CS 3.5 here as the map seems to be pretty dense, and also for the sake of widening the gap between Easy and reducing with Advanced. And the 1/2 overlaps feel too deep, reducing the circle size would help it less overlapped too.
* 00:19:911 (4,5) - the clap on the middle is strong as you were representing, so how about http://puu.sh/nCArm/cbb6befd25.jpg ?
* 00:36:840 - add a circle? It would represent the drum sound well and make it less boring.
* 00:50:340 - add a circle here too, this drum is strong.
* 01:03:626 (2) - 02:05:340 (2) - o.o if you accept my suggestion on Easy then this would be a must... tbh 01:01:911 (1,2) - these long sliders feel too boring while the song is intense... For this diff, you can even do http://puu.sh/nCAKw/820ee61d71.jpg this
* 01:38:340 - 01:52:054 - add a circle
* 02:58:483 (3,4,5) - 3/2 drum term is really strong, so why not represent 02:59:126 - in some way?
* 03:03:626 (1,2) - Ahhh too boring, fill something out please like http://puu.sh/nCAUc/a23b871b8b.jpg
[Advanced]
* 00:36:840 - Same as Normal
* 01:06:197 (3) - As the sound is strong on 01:06:411 - , I'd suggest this intead: http://puu.sh/nCB4O/7e0db90a9c.jpg or use 2 circles for 3 on that picture
* 01:22:483 (1) - Personally I don't think this represents the song well... the music suddenly 'stops' there but the notes are not stopping at all. Could you explain why you use this thing on higher diffs? Maybe something like http://puu.sh/nCBd8/39fc6dbd6e.jpg is understandable if you slow down the brown slider, but clicking on the downbeat and keeping the speed doesn't make sense imo.
* 01:38:340 - Yeah again like Normal, why leave this strong drum empty?
* 02:43:054 (1,2) - This doesn't fit. 1/1 term is strong there... so using 1/2 repeat sliders doesn't make sense... as the stronger beats 02:43:483 - 02:43:911 - are not clicked while the weaker beat 02:43:697 - is clicked... Same for 02:56:768 (1,2) -
[Hard]
* 00:34:054 (4,5,6,1,2,3,4) - Maybe a bit harsh to click that much for this part. Use some sliders maybe?
* 00:36:197 (1,2) - I think click should be on 00:36:840 - instead of 00:36:626 - because that's how the drum sounds. Maybe, reverse (1) and put a circle after that.
* 01:22:483 (1) - Yee same with Advanced
* 02:14:340 (2,3,4) - Persoanlly it would be great if you highlight 02:14:554 (3) - in some way. Right now, it's just in the middle of the stacks so it's not emphasized at all, but the drum there is stronger than others. Same for 02:16:268 (3) -
* 02:45:411 (3) - Unlike the previous kiais, here doesn't have 1/4 drums so it's overmapped. Try some 1/2 pattern here.
[Insane]
* Not much to say individually, but the spacing of notes looks pretty unstable, like 00:09:626 (4,5,6) - why the ds became 1.40 suddenly while it was 1.60 before, or 00:16:911 (6,1) - 00:17:768 (2,4) - these blankets have different distance which looks untidy, and so on. I think you can make them look neater.
* Also the points you put jumps feels inconsistent too, like 00:38:340 (2,3,4,5,1) - has no jumps, but 00:45:197 (2,3,4,5) - these are jumps that gets bigger, 00:52:054 (2,3,4,5,1) - these gets smaller, 00:58:911 (2,3,4,5,1) - random distance jump... idk how to say this, but this kind of inconsistency doesn't feel good imo...
The rhythms look good, but personally I don't like random spacings.
[Aia's Insane]
* 00:46:054 (6,1) - jump like 00:39:197 (10,1) -
* 00:52:911 (6,1) - Same, but why 00:52:697 (5,6) - is jump here now? It's different than before.
* 01:36:626 (2,3,4) - Why suddenly a triplet? It looks too random and I don't hear a legit 1/4s
* 01:54:197 (5,1) - ^
* 02:14:554 (3,4,5) - I know you're trying to emphasize, but a moving triplet is too overdone imo, I would just use a 1/2 slider and put a jump instead.
* 02:22:054 (6,7) - 02:22:911 (2,3) - 02:23:768 (6,7) - Using stacks is weird imo, there's literally no difference from other similar ones but why only those? It only makes the cursor stop moving with no reason.
* 03:00:197 - I think you used tooooo shrinked ds here, it almost looks like a Hard. You didn't use this small ds even on 00:07:054 - , while 03:01:697 - feels even intense. I think this part should be like sub-kiai. This is too easy.
Ok that's all from me. Good luck! (and wow you're a BN, can I call you on my map later? xD)
