I really don't think you should bother with AR10.3 at your current rank.

However... if you really want to learn it (I mean this is a game, its for fun so, why not?) just edit songs you can play well on AR8+DT to AR9 and try it out. Honestly though I think its best if you try to learnt he AR's between 8 and 9.

Personally I started playing a bunch of 8.5+DT, then 8.7+DT and made that final leap to 9+DT.

For first you have to learn how to burst/stream 260bpm. Without it don't even bother with dt.

xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
Yuudachi-kun
And I never had a single 10.3 fc until somewhere between 5000-5300pp.

No.

Mashing won't lead you anywhere. Learn how to play fast maps first, most of DT maps has 240+ bpm. Reacting to fast AR isn't anything you won't do.

As i understood nomod will help me a lot in dt, yes?
DeathHydra
I'd suggest master AR8.5+DT (AR10, I guess?) first before going to AR10.3
vsprite
play more ar10.3
Matrix
just play it alot to get fast enough for it, its not really hard once you are used to it(hopefully that was obvious) nofail imo is the best mod in the game because it lets you practice!

Can you play AR10?
Can you play AR10.1?
Can you play AR10.2?
If not you should start with those.

10.1 and 10.2 aren't fucking relevant at all and you'd need to strain to find a map that would give you those values between ar 8.5-8.9

The only ars that matter are ar 8+DT, 8.5+DT, and 9+DT.
Dexus
bruh, you can edit maps. Also AR is irrelevant in general.

It's better to just go from 9.6 directly to 10.3 on unedited ranked maps.
Dexus
Why is that, care to explain?
Yuudachi-kun
Because you're simply wasting time trying to increment yourself to 10.3 when you can actually just go and play actual 10.3 maps that were ranked with an appropriate AR rather than adjusting the AR to something that isn't for the map.
Dexus
It's not really a waste of time, it's called doing it right as if you jump straight into something you can't do the basics of you're going to ruin yourself. We have a wide variety of maps today and they aren't all AR9 strictly. Man, it's the same as people saying "Oh just do AR10.3 240bpm as that's what the pros do" You can't just do that. Throwing yourself at a wall like that wont help in the slightest. Building up over time cementing your abilities and confidence in what you can do really helps to make you a better player overall. In the end you'll come out a lot more consistent at it.

And that's entirely not my experience with having to have learned Ar 10.3 around a year ago. It didn't ruin me and I was consistently going back and playing my ar 9.6 maps for pp with 10.3 on the side at around the same difficulty level. Of course I did have already 5000+ pp even before I started touching 10.3

Look, I even have the progression list with dates you can check too

And at this point none of my videos mention 10.3 because it's a non issue.
Dexus
See now what you say makes more sense as you were going back and forth between what you could and couldn't do. Incrementally practicing does the same, but you can't really dismiss it because you yourself didn't do it. Also pp/rank isn't an accurate measurement of skill as you can farm maps to get a pretty high rank, yeah they take a certain amount of skill to farm them but you wont be as good as some other players who may even be lower than your pp/rank. Rank and stuff like that does matter when you get really high up there as some of the maps require a lot of skill by comparison. Even then there are some players who don't bother with ranking or even submitting scores so you can't really track them to compare.
The Gambler
You're also gonna have to be patient with the training. 10.3 takes months to play decently (I'm shitty and took me a year to somewhat play).

Also fruitpicking helps a lot :)
