Hi,

first time commenting on a beatmap so no idea how this works. Just played the insane map, and I thought it was pretty nice! i only noticed that the slider on 00:15:292 goes off screen. is this intentional?

I have a 16:10 monitor if that makes any difference

I think it's a bit off, thanks for pointing it out. When I was testing it I thought it was slightly off screen.

Hi! just a random mod from #modreqs here ^^

I just took a short look at this map and I already like it ^^
but there are some issues you have to fix before it can get ranked!

[General]

  1. Some diffs are generally nice like easy, the hard GD; normal definitely needs some fixes
    and insane has potential as well
  2. I'll mod just 3 of your 4 diffs
  3. As I noticed you like using blankets, but please correct them if they are not perfect. I know there are
    a lot of mods which will also tell you this
  4. turn off the countdown, mostely nobody uses this anymore, and you don't need letterboxes in breaks
  5. AiMod says there are some conflicts with the setting of "Side's Hard", fix them
  6. hitsounding seems ok to me nevertheless you can create more interesting things by changing the sound
    sample of some notes. Use shift+Q/W/E/R to change it for one note/slider. So you could emphasize the beats
    just one example (insane diff)
    00:25:230 (5,6,7) - change the sample of all 3 slider starts to "normal"
  7. I would also recommend to use costume hitsounds. Maybe somebody will help you to find suitable hitsounds
    or you looking for them in your song folder if you have a lot of maps.
  8. I'll focus on the performance, shaping and flow. I won't mod hitsounding and comboing issues.

[Easy]

  1. As I've told you Easy is quite a nice map, there are only some small things to fix
  2. I recommend using HP 2
  3. 00:17:355 (4,5) - fix this blanket, the outer border of the slider has to match with the approach circle of 4
  4. 00:23:355 (5,1) - fix blanket
  5. 00:32:355 (3,1) - blanket again ^^
  6. 00:40:230 (2,3,4) - have you heard about polarity? just watch
    this video
    It's hard for new players to hit circles on red ticks or offbeats (the 2nd and 4th white ticks)
    They will definitely don't understand this pattern. Convert 2 and 3 to a slider or 2,3 and 4 to a repeating slider.

  7. 00:43:230 (3,1) - blanket, pls look at all blankets, if they fit perfect, I won't mention this problem again
  8. 00:52:230 (2) - using repeating 1/2 sliders are definitely not recommended in easy even if there
    is only one repeat but this one has 2 repeats. I won't even do this in hard
  9. 00:52:230 (2,3) - moreover because of the slider there is a polarity issue
  10. Imo this spinner is a bit to short for an easy. Eighter you map this section with slider/circle or anything
    or you don't change it and wait what other mods say about this

  12. 01:23:730 (3) - ctrl+J for a better flow, then fix distance snap and 01:25:230 (1) - ctrl+g

    for new players
  2. some people say normal is a nice diff for creative slider shapes, but unfortunately I've just seen
    round or straight sliders, try to be creative and add some nice slider shapes ;)

  4. 00:02:730 (6,7,1) - I'm not sure if this kind of overlapping is rankable, just wait for other mods
  5. 00:05:730 (6) - slider end at the white tick and move 7 that it's just on the red ticks, then add a circle

  1. As I said Insane has a huge potential, keep on improving this map!
  2. I noticed you tried to make this map harder by using high slider velocity. This is unusual but creates
    a special feeling while playing, I like it. But nevertheless this is an insane and your hardest diff in this
    mapset. I think you could add more jumps, but if you do this you have to be consistent! I'll give you some examples.
  3. this is an insane! You don't have to keep things as simple as possible. In some parts of the song you mapped
    less than you could. I'll also give you some examples.
  4. decrease HP drain to 7
I'll give you some tipps for some jumps, please think about adding more jumps after you applied my recommendations:
  1. in insane a jump can be placed whenever a new combo begins (on a bit white tick)
    some examples:
    00:15:292 (6,1) -
    00:20:542 (4,5) -
    00:22:042 (1,2) -
    00:27:855 (3,4) -
    01:20:542 (4,5) -
    01:34:042 (9,1) -
    and so on
  2. sometimes the song implies a HUGE jump, there you can increase distance snap, or of course add another jump type
    my favorite jumps are called "snap jumps" (I call them like this)
    you need at least 4 cicles (or more of course) on a white,red,white,red tick
    the white-red cicles have a consistent distance snap but between red-white there's a huge jump
    just a picture
    some examples for your song:
    01:32:730 (4,5,6,7) -
    01:38:355 (3,4,1,2,3) -
    01:44:730 (5,6,7,8) -
    and so on
Now some issues:
  1. 00:04:605 (2,3) - fix blanket
  2. 00:05:730 (6,7,8) - you can map this part much better, using a little stream here is fine pic
    You can add a jump between the circle 6 and 7(start of the stream) this is possible for every stream and triplett
  3. 00:09:855 (7) - fix blanket, and/or stack 7 with end of 5
  4. 00:11:355 (3) - same again but with 1 and 3
  5. 00:12:855 (6,7) - convert to a 1/2 slider
  6. 00:14:542 (4,5) - blanket
  7. 00:17:730 (1,2,3) - they don't have the same distance snap, use 1,0 for a better flow
  8. 00:18:105 (3,4) - jump between them
  9. 00:21:292 (6) - I feel a jump here rotate the slider by 30° anti clockwise and fix the blanket
    then stack 00:21:855 (7,1) - and move them to 0/224, this creates a jump to 2 (of course reduce the distance a bit)
    it should look like this
  10. 00:22:792 (3,4) - this could be a nice jump but you stacked them ^^
  11. 00:28:792 (7) - I won't reduce slider velocity here, let the slider end at the red tick and add a circle at the following white
  12. 00:37:042 (4,5) - fix this blanket
  13. map the doubles here 00:37:980 - 00:38:073 - 00:38:261 - 00:38:355 -
  14. 00:45:292 (2,3,4) - wrong pattern, use: 1/2 slider - circle - 1/2 slider
  15. 00:46:230 (1,2,3,4,5) - this could be a nice star pattern but it actually looks... hmmmmh
  16. 00:47:167 (1,2,3) - make the distance between very very small like
    this and change their position that it's a good flow
  17. 00:47:730 (1,3) - maybe stack them?, fix the blanket as well
  18. 00:49:792 (7,8) - don't stack them, convert 8 to 2 circles you can stack them and then fix the distance snap to 00:50:261 (9) -
  19. 00:51:292 (2,4) - I won't stack them
  20. 00:52:792 (1) - that's definitely unrankable! you can't react fast enough to this repeat. delete this repeat and make the slider longer
    that it ends at the red tick
  21. 00:56:355 (8) - reduce lenght to 1/2 and add a circle here 00:56:730 -
  22. 00:58:980 (4) - stack 4 on 6
  23. 01:07:230 (7) - convert to a repeating 1/2 slider
  24. 01:08:355 (9) - make to 1/2 and add a circle at the big white tick
  25. 01:09:011 - add a circle here
  26. 01:10:792 (2,4) - this overlap looks a bit messy and is also not good for the flow
  27. 01:15:292 (3) - I think we had this before, no lower slider velo, slider end here 01:15:667 -
    and 01:15:855 - there is a dominant note that should be mapped (circle)
  28. 01:20:542 (4,5) - between them should be a jump
  29. 01:24:292 (6) - map the doubles instead of the large slider
  30. 01:26:730 (5,6,7,8,9) - the slider velo in this section is a bit too slow, make it 1,0
  31. 01:27:480 (8) - 1/2 slider and add circle here 01:27:855 -
  32. 01:33:480 (8,9) - first circle, then repeating slider
  33. 01:36:761 (9,10) - I won't stack it with 5 because it's not well readable
  34. 01:39:292 (4,5) - that's not a good flow, mark 4 and then ctrl+J, then fix distance snap and so on..
  35. 01:43:792 (2,5) - stack them or use another pattern because 01:44:730 (5,6,7,8) - the song implies huge
    jumps here
  36. 01:53:167 (6) - of course you can map a triplet here as a repeating 1/4 slider or with 3 circles
  37. 01:53:636 - add circle for a correct triplett
  38. 01:54:292 - missing cicle, listen to the song, you'll hear it
  39. 01:55:980 (5,6,7) - map more in this part! use this pattern
    there must be jumps between 4 and 5, something like this

Now I checked some of your "suggested" jumps and going over them with a friend of mine and those either work but are really not my thing or just random.

Insane : 3.88* with AR9+OD8 + very fast slider velocity sometimes, for me you have 2 choices, make the map harder or make easier settings
I would personaly prefere the map to be harder so i'll mod this thinking about gaining difficulty :D

You have to know i like little combo numbers so i'll maybe say NC too much :D

00:11:730 (1,2,3,4,5) - Here u can make an harder patern, unstacking notes (like pentagone or triangles)

Oh this is is something I end up doing throughout the 4th bar of every beat pretty much is using 1.8x spacing to emphasize this (basically the downbeat of the stanza as some people call it I think) since it's where a lot of the impact in the music is. I did like the idea behind curving (3) but I prefer keeping it a straight line because it mirrors (1) and it's a similar sound in the music as (1) as well so it's kinda like a little compliment to it I feel.

Since this part is also the jump section of the map having a non-stop 5 note tapping and then a slider or something else would make it a lot harder and that's not what I'm going for with this difficulty. I did however also add an NC here to help with that emphasis

Overall, it's a cool mapset. Have you considered adding another Insane around 4.5 stars for this? I think it would be cool. I'm just taking my time on how to make more difficult maps, besides I might end up with a worse insane than the one I made.
