How to learn difficult part from a beatmap?

There are several beatmaps that overally aren't that hard but, they have some difficult part(s) that I always mess up (sometimes causing me to fail depending on beatmap). Just playing the map over and over again (this was suggested once by a person whose name I don't remember) doesn't seem to produce any results, so how should I go about learning them?
I wish I was able to record some examples, but osu! doesn't seem to like begin screen captured for whatever reason...

Go to the editor and play that specific part over and over again.

Go play maps with patterns you can actually do well. Come back when you are better and FC. Profit.

If you find common sense too hard then do what Clappy said.

If you only play patterns you can do well, then doesn't that mean that you never learn new ones? You have to expose yourself to new patterns and challenge yourself to improve. Technically I can "see the pattern" correctly, but my hand kinda doesn't follow it.

On a side note, I have for whatever reason been able to stream today way better than usual with no particular reason (at least I'm not aware of it yet) which has made it possible for me to complete already 5 maps that I haven't been able to complete yet.

I don't think he means "Only play triangle jumps and no other pattern"

I think he means more like "Don't play ridiculous fullscreen triangle jumps. Instead, play smaller triangle jumps you're able to do, and increase the difficulty and spacing of the triangle jumps you can consistently FC until you can consistently FC these fullscreen triangle jumps."

If that is what he means, I agree and you should follow that advice

If that isn't what he means ha fk u HK :^) I gib bettar advice :^) :^) :^)

Editor doesn't always help as much.
There's this nice map by Lesjuh:
https://osu.ppy.sh/b/43423&m=0

And it has this nice spot with around 12 doubles fairly close together. I can't get further but to the 7th/8th double without my fingers locking up somehow, regardless how often I play it in the editor
However I used to regularly screw up on the 3rd/4th double a few months ago.
I improved on it without practicing the pattern especially because it is just too hard to make sensible progress on.

The general idea here is if you can't do the pattern, practice what can help you do it. Trying to do the pattern itself won't help.

Think of it as trying to break down a wall. If you can't break it down by punching it, try making holes in it or somehow fucking with its structural integrity (practicing aim, clicking, read, whatever) because you're not bouta become the incredible hulk by punching it.

You accept Jesus as your lord and savior, and pray when you're approaching the difficult part

Or just go into editor, go to the difficult part, look at it, keep a mental note of cursor movement (distance, angle and stuff), then play the map itself

But usually if you messed up it usually mean your skill cap isn't there yet in the first place.

This game isn't about learning patterns. It's about being able to read and recognise patterns or even just notes as you go.

But you never learn to recognize such patterns if you never expose yourself to new ones, right?

This would be otherwise a good idea, but I use quiet strong background dimming, which doesn't happen in the editor's test mode. For that reason playing in the editor mode is really hard :c

Stop looking at this game as a bunch of patterns but as a bunch of circles and you will understand. because thats what it really is

Go to edit mode, delete everything except the section that you want to learn, then save as new map.

Play the map until you either die of starvation, or complete the part.
