Hi, im kinda bad at modding but would love to help so hopefully one or two of my suggestions will be useful.
00:05:139 (6) - Maybe consider placing it directly under like this http://puu.sh/lIXxt/a4b0a31e5a.jpg done
00:58:799 (6) - I would bring it up a tad http://puu.sh/lIXDa/b4dedf1e97.jpg done.. kinda xD
01:37:613 (2,3,4,5) - Try playing around with the pattern i like the pattern
02:32:355 (8) - Move it to the left abit http://puu.sh/lIXOf/5614ef6183.jpg i want it to match the other previous triplets (straight into slider)
02:51:221 (1,2,3,4,5,6,1) - This looks kinda weird kinda kinda changed it xD, idk how else to place the stream
03:19:211 (10,11) - Remove single and increase slider length I like it here :'( If other people tell me to change it, ill consider
03:40:241 (9) - I would move it up abit done!
03:47:045 (5) - same with this done too
These are only suggestions so you don't have to do any of them, it would make me happy if you looked at them though and let me know what you thought
I really love this map and the slider at the end is beautiful.
thanks for the mod!B r e n d a n wrote:
small modmelt away01:43:490 (1) - I think this slider should be a bit farther to the left considering the two short sliders right before it just end up being treated like regular hitcircles.
02:06:608 (4,5) - These two object might be better placed a bit higher because the slider right before is pointing up, having to aim the opposite direction right after felt a bit difficult because of the distance. The flow is fine there though.
thank you!!Kroytz wrote:
omg cover cover coverle modGeneral: might want to change that diff name to be something else/more fitting to the song. There was a rule established a while back that you cannot use your username for diff names. melt away also sounds very lame for a diff name but thats just me lol xdd
Use Soft hitsounds for this song especially starting from here 00:02:974 (1) - Normal hitsounds on quiet parts is nono
I notice on the Timing tab that you've kept it at Default 1.40 when you could've increased to 1.9 or something and then have your kiai's on 1.0 or w.e idk a lot of people tend to increase that a bit to their comfort and then adjust in the Timing Panel their specific SV changes. And for really slow SVs you could go into the .osu in notepad and manually adjust the numbers to go below 0.50 ^^;;
00:03:283 (3) - SV is quite high for the slowest part of the song lol. Reduce em all to .75 or smth >>;;
00:07:922 (1,2) - this overlap here is kinda meh I'd space (1) out more bottom left so it doesn't touch (2). Becomes too edgy on something quiet
00:10:706 (7) - NC and maybe try a rhythm like this so it doesn't feel so awkward waiting for those next beats http://puu.sh/msDK2/83682f2f8e.jpg
00:21:376 (4) - Make as circle and add a 3/2 slider on 00:21:531 -
00:31:737 (2) - triggering overlap lol
00:35:139 (1,2) - spacing is too close for what you've mapped so far. Which I should remind shouldn't be spaced all that much in general. There's a LOT of heavy spacing for a REALLY quiet part of the song.
00:37:613 (1,2) - ^ a stack could also work
00:45:036 (1) - slider?
00:46:892 (3,4) - this stack followed by the backward movement to (5) doesn't help the flow feel, well, flowy. I'd say to keep the map moving or make (3) a slider and reposition (5) elsewhere
00:48:593 (6,7,8) - something about these should be treated a little different for the inclusion of the vocals
00:50:912 (3,4) - here too. This one is weirder because you have a linear flow from 2->3,4->5 but that pause in the double tapping at 2,3 is awkward.
00:52:459 (6,7,8,9) - these are overmapped. There's no supporting instruments for half those notes >>
00:58:953 (7) - NC
00:49:984 (4,5) - works better as a 1/2 slider to keep consistent with the vocals you've mapped as 1/2 in the previous
00:53:696 (4) - could NC here for the pattern of jumps with the vocals.
00:58:489 (4,5,6) - this spacing could use fixing
01:08:077 (2,3,4,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) - too many single tappings ;w; Maybe remove the repeat slider and turn 01:07:613 (1,2,3,4) - into 3 sliders
01:18:438 (4,5,6) - Spacing is deceptive because 4->5 is 1/2 apart whereas 5->6 is 1/1 apart on timeline 01:18:747 (5) - should also be NC
01:20:294 (2,3,4) - dont really look well together as a pattern before the jumps. The spacing is also quite close so maybe space them out more
01:21:221 (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9) - these jumps are pretty good
01:22:459 (9) - might wanna add a break after this
01:24:933 (1) - maybe here too
01:27:098 - add circle
01:45:191 (5) - overlap against slider ;;
01:49:984 (4) - ^
01:55:551 (7,8,1) - flow is harsh here
02:02:355 (4) - there's some strong drums here that should be mapped imo
I'll stop modding here because I don't think my input can hold much more value to map than what I've given so far, but I found this post by monstrata which may or may not help you understand a little more about the fundamentals of mapping: p/4759247
But this is not all that bad for a very first map, it's actually quite good (I've seen my fair share of first maps lol). Keep practicing and map more songs and soon enough you'll see your stuff Ranked
04:45:344 (1) - This is by far one of the most beautiful sliders I've ever seen in my life, holy shit ._.
Slider didn't take me too long, just had to play around with it xD-Frostt- wrote:
I love this song :O
Saw you in Modreqs, so here's my mod:
00:21:067 (2,3,4) - Don't end this with a slider. Maybe start it with a slider and end with 2 circles? You could do something like this:
00:30:191 (5) - This note seems kinda weird being stacked there. Maybe move it to something like x: 357 y:169?
01:18:747 (1) - Stack this on 01:19:056 (1) - and remove the NC, and NC 01:19:056 (1) -
01:27:253 (3) - Stack this under 01:26:788 (2) - and rotate by 60 to keep the flow of the end of the slider to the next note.
01:54:314 (3) - Not a nececity, but maybe make this slider less ugly? Something like this: (If you do this you need to move 01:54:933 (4) - to x:403 y:273 for the slider shape to work)
02:15:345 (1) - NC?
02:41:634 (1) - Start this Kiai here.
03:07:458 (4) - Don't stack this note under. Maybe move it to x:132 y:141?
03:27:406 (1) - NC?
03:34:828 (1) - ^
03:59:880 (1) - ^
Overall a solid map, but there is some polishing to do. Hope to see it ranked!
(Sidenote - 04:45:344 (1) - how long did it take for you to do this slider holy shit)
