I can't properly explain it but I don't mind this at all honestly.
Run from scary spoiler
I'm sure though that even if this is sprite's first game, I think the pacing of events (which applies to all routes IMO) is kinda fast and takes away from the focus of the VN's routes: the relationship itself.

In short ==> Typical route chronologically goes: Hookup, Crisis 1, Crisis 2, Crisis 3, End.

My preference ==> Hookup/Initial Interaction, Crisis 1, Character/Relationship development in Crisis 1, Mini ending of Crisis 1, bridge to Crisis 2 (you get the pattern, just add emphasis to Crisis 3)... End.

- Simply because you have more time to flesh out the characters I'd say they could've gone for it. But again, would've increased cost and narrower margin of attention span to work with but yeah...

Also, why is Shinonome the best girl
Haven't quite watched the anime yet but I quite enjoyed my time with Shinonome.

Navizel wrote:

So what are your thoughts on the fact that you're forced to start with the worst girl on your first playthrough and the fact that she keeps on ruining other routes with her shit drama
Cardboard Box Shield from Spoiler
Default girl is definitely the weakest link IMO, andher interactions in other routes are hit-or-miss, depending on your preferred route. But if you followed the recommended playthrough @fuwanovel the best I could say about default girl is that her involvement in other routes become more considerate the further along in the recommended walkthrough you take.

Which means my argument only makes sense if you followed the recommended route order from that link

Only difference between the Fuwa's route order and mine is I went through Mifuyu first before Isara. Fair enough. Agreed with choosing Michiru as last. I felt like it has the best conclusion for the whole story even though it cut some parts of the story.

I wonder if the fandisc would get the translation as well... Some plot holes would make sense upon playing that game, speaking from the way it was written.

Also, readers are gonna spoil themselves now that they know Michiru's route is recommended as the save-best-for-last...

MOAR SPOILERS
I still also don't get how in all but two routes the elections take precedence in terms of the protag's relations, but in said two routes the elections are literally treated as side plots that are chucked away as soon as they were finished. I mean the focus is kept towards the heroine's relationships but at least sprite should either keep the elections' emphasis consistent across the routes (like Satsuki's, Chisato's and Isara's) or find a way to branch it off into other tangential plot lines (Mifuyu's and Michiru's)
The Gambler
Actually, Koichoco would've worked better with a G-Senjou no Maou route system in terms of how the characters were written.

sagara family is hands down one of the best eroges ive ever played

I'm currently playing Sakura no Uta, the spiritual successor of Subarashiki Hibi which so happens to be my personal favorite Eroge/Visual Novel. A relevant question of representation: how can porn games do what these two brilliant Sca-ji games are doing? Let that question be answered by the magician himself.

Speaking of magic, after I finish the game I plan on translating it. I feel that people need to experience this (and first Subarashiki Hibi which is fully translated waiting for an inevitable patch release) regardless of whether or not they want to affiliate themselves with the Eroge subculture.

Next year I'm going to be entirely jobless so either way I would be dooming myself to eternal boredom or eternal endeavor (relevant: time is an ideological construct that establishes artificiality). I chose the lesser of the two burdens because doing truly nothing for a year sounds awful (relevant: 'doing' is inclusive to and perpetuated by living).

Also, why not if the task involves qt girls, right?

Don't worry Conjueror wait for me to surprise you. (くすくす、お前こそカステルさん)

After having played over 40, I'd have to say nothing has ever been able to rival Umineko. It's a fucking masterpiece, IMO.

Other than that, I really loved YU-NO (as unnecessarily raunchy as it is), Remember 11, Kara no Shoujo, and naturally MLA.
Navizel
Remember11 but not Ever17?

I did like Ever17 and I thought the major twist was fantastic, but overall I found Remember11 to be more enticing. The pacing was far better (didn't have to sit through those wonderful sandwich scenes) and it was just more exciting overall.

Anyone played Hoshi Ori Yume Mirai, I'm thinking about buying it and would love feedback before hand?

If it's not in English, I have probably not. If you want ratings ask the Japs, or whoever can read katakana/hiragana.

Yes, that Eroge have a great story and also come with a great graphic.

I'd recommend that one.

Thanks a lot men, the graphic did look great, I wasn't sure if people had played it here as I think it's JP only, but nice from the info I had and stuffs I've seen I was interested in the purple haired Pianist and was wondering if the game story was worth it, so thanks ^.^ !

On another note, Noble Works just got finished translations at Christmas Eve. IMO, it's just eye candy; reminds me too much of Princess Evangile and Harukoi Otome on that note.

Seriously VNDB said the game was long. It is long, but nothing fulfilling plot-wise or even drama-wise. Damn I want my life back.

Princess Evangile could have been good if it had a decent MC, who wasn't Stupid as F and did dumb thing non stop, if it didn't had force drama with the kind of mafia who's as dumb as the MC if not more and his father thing, if the main ark wasn't bad and if 3 of the 4 routes weren't completely terrible, god, it was an awful game, like the art is probably the only good thing about this game, even the music bothered, which is kinda rare in an eroge.

If you're gonna get through Noble Works, give me feedback, I might get it if it's not atrocious :P .

3/5 routes done. So far it's like Evangile all over again. I'll return to Sharin no Kuni once I'm done with this one.
The Gambler
Noble Works: Meh...

Typical moege with larger emphasis on ojou-sama elements but with the same tropes (hence the name). Premise was OK but was completely flat by the time we reached any of the character routes. Some comedy elements were prevalent but were not as effective in their roles, and routes themselves are hit-or-miss in terms of impact (if any).

In short, it's another take by a company at revitalizing the moege genre, but instead ends up playing along like the rest of them.
EDIT: HI GREEN PLATINUM
Kind of a commodity status rather than interesting if you ask me. It's not excruciatingly bad, but it also lacks replay value as a game.

been a while since the last time i post here
so, yesterday i've decided to bought fault milestone 2 ( it's 50% off ), having tried the demo and it leaves me nothing but curiosity.
I remember what blissfulyoshi said back then, an urge to read the rest of the story and what did you get? Disappointment.
Albeit having a nice story, but the way how it ends, simply vexing.

BECAUSE I NEED TO WAIT ANOTHER WHO KNOW GODDAMN MONTHS UNTIL THE SEQUEL GOT PUBLISHED

Bunny Black 2 1.0 patch was released a few days ago. Don't like how you can only just use six characters (+5 backup) instead of nine like the first one. Money is so scarce and you need it for reinvestment so you can increase your command but it's only +1 command every upgrade. Money required also increases the more you upgrade. Good thing there's Gunguskar's revive so you don't have to spend when one of your characters die in battle. There are ways to get good amount of money but you have to farm for items in exchange.

So far, it seems average to me. In terms of story, I feel like this one is better but in terms of RPG, I think the first one is a bit better.

If you're into "Romance Comedy with good artwork" type of Eroge, Noble Works would be the answer. I like those type of Eroge so I played 2 routes so far (on English, finished the Japanese version around 2 years ago and of course I can't recall my memories). But do not expect "super good plot" because it's just a light story imo. So yeah 7/10 from me. Kobuichii <3

Katawa Shoujo

Princess Evangile xD , still epic thou.
Do you guys have any VNs / Galges or maybe dating sims with a nice school storyline? Just like usual school does ...
The Gambler
Read Gahkthun or Shikoku no Sharnoth.

Plenty of school drama, if not for the steampunkiness of the story
DakeDekaane
I'm done reading Kara no Shoujo (also KnS2), I ended up dropping some tears. It was a good read, despite having some holes here and there (or me not paying enough attention), unless they're going to be covered in KnS3? Anyway, I'm ready for it.

Currently reading Saya no Uta and let me say, it's gross, but I'm already hooked, lol.

Any utsuge/mystery/psychologica/sci-fi VN you would recommend?
Navizel
If you haven't yet try Ever17. Maybe Euphoria since you're reading Saya no Uta.
The Gambler
Finished Gahkthun, now to read the rest of the steampunk series, Shikoku no Sharnoth and Sekien no Inganock.

(At least the English ones).

If anything, Gahkthun reads a lot like an anime, but just way better. It's more shoujou-ish as it focuses more on the interactions and drama IMO than pure action in my experience, but makes it overall the richer.

That's my $0.02 everyone :)
ginraene
i played only nekopara vol 1 and dmmd (i also wanted to play dmmd reconnect but i have trouble running it and idk why) and that's all lol

for Utsuge I recommend White Album 2 *all chapters* because it's totally depressing love triangle imo. Even though the anime did good job on the story, but the feeling still continue to the closing chapter and coda chapter. I'm focusing myself to Kazusa so I didn't pay attention on Setsuna's route (though probably the writer support Setsuna's more than Kazusa) but still it's depressing.

or Chaos;Child, 5pb told they'll port it to PC around this year (thus anime incoming). Science Adventure Series by Chiyomaru is really something <3.

anyway I need more Nakige games lol can someone recommend good one?
