Yah. Half the party left after the boss reset a couple times. The rest of us had to wait for people who could do kill the boss quicker. We ended up getting a brawler and finished on the first try.EneT wrote:

Status: Contemplating whether buying 1.75L of Coca Cola was a good idea. In other news, I'm around 8K soft resets for a shiny Groudon in Pokemon SoulSilver. :/
I'd rather not use RNG manipulation, I prefer to get my shinies 100% legitimately (unless they're event exclusive, then I'll hack in the event item).Green Platinum wrote:

Super easy in gen 4 and 5.
I'd still rather not use RNG manipulation. I'd rather soft reset for the shiny. Soft resetting requires more work and therefore the shiny will feel much more special. It's hard to explain. Also, I never said that RNG manipulation is at all analogous to hacking an item, I'm well aware that they're completely different. I simply mentioned that I have no problem with hacking in event items in order to hunt for shinies.Green Platinum wrote:
RNG manipulation is legitimate. Suggesting it is somehow analogous to hacking an item is completely wrong.
