So I've been wondering,
How high of a rank 'should' you be after some time on osu!?
I've been playing for 8 months now, and I can now do 3 star maps easily.
Although I only have 566PP after eight months. Is that classified as 'underachieving'?
Should I be higher up doing 4.5 star maps by now?

Everyone progresses at his own speed.
You didn't really play a lot in these 8 months(literally just August+a bit of July) so everything's fine I guess.

I would say It depends on how much you play.
Some people improve quickly by playing alot.
Others take months off which can really mess up a few things
On the other note, time/dates don't mean anything really.
As long as you have high PP.
Take me for an example,
I've been in for 3 months, and now I have 1k+PP. I've been playing around 50-100 A day. So just improve at your own rate c:

I took a long time of actually starting to do "well" on 3star maps, i've played for a year and i'm currently moving onto 4*+ maps, but the time is irrelevant. What really matters is the playcount and i have almost 5X yours. I'd say you are doing ok if you are already easily beating 3stars. Your acc, is kinda lowish here and there, once you get that up, youll be more than fine to go (y) .

Yes obviosly, although i took 2 major breaks so far, and both ended up being helpful for me.

And in this game it"s really not worth comparing yourself to others imo .

I've been here for quite some time, so according to this, I am underperforming. Maybe I am though :D .
