Thank you so much! Your mod really helped. Let's hope I can get this map to go somewhereCannuJul wrote:
Hi somewhat delayed mod from my queue
General- Timing is nicely done which is really no surprise here (OK)<3
- Difficulty range is fine, maybe could try for an SC but I dunno if the song is capable (OK) I was thinking the same thing. It would be nice to have a harder diff, but the song doesn't really support it.
- Metadata is fine (OK)
- Hitsounds are really appropriate (OK)
- The SVs you got going on in there are flawless Love em and always will (OK)
0 | 1 | 2 | 3
NMSurprisingly fun yet somewhat comfortable for an NM difficulty. Patterns are unique but not over the top
- 00:16:659 - 00:17:750 - Whilst I do enjoy the SVs, for an NM difficulty, 0.75 might be too hard for newcomers to adjust to especially with the nature of this song. Therefore, I'd recommend perhaps reducing the SV to maybe 0.85-0.9 as opposed to 0.75 Not a necessity but SVs are usually quite challenging for new players Changed to 0.85
- 00:58:659 (58659|0) - I'd probably change this to just a note at 00:58:659 . Similar reasoning to beforehand, LNs and coordination of them are particularly difficult, and hence I'd probably either change to a note, or try a different pattern here.
- 00:58:932 (58932|1) - ^^
- 00:59:204 (59204|2) - ^^ All changed. Tried other patterns too, but this seems to work the best
- 01:01:386 - 01:09:022 - Like first one, I wouldn't get rid of the SVs because they work extremely well with the song, but maybe just make it a little more relaxed. I know for a fact that SVs can really mess with people, and only because this is the starting difficulty, I recommend considering to make it go down to something like 0.75 as opposed to 0.6 Haha yeah. Fixed.
- 01:14:204 (74204|0,74204|3) - Maybe pop these in lanes 1 & 2 , just as next notes are already in lanes 0 & 3. Probably would need to adjust notes before hand as well, but either way, I don't think it's a huge issue I'll keep these the same. I like the repetition of the same sounds and lanes.
- 01:22:795 - I know there's no specific drum sound on this, but I'd probably chuck a note in just to keep the momentum flowing Although I liked how the section was slightly different at this part, it did feel empty without a note there.
Chorus is all good here
- 02:28:659 - 02:28:932 - Again, I'd probably just reduce the SV Fixed.
Really I feel this is the only difficulty that needs some playing around with to simplify it overall
HDSolid Diff jump up from NM but not overwhelmingly difficult. It's nice to see you give the choruses a bit more 'oomph' as it works well as training for MX
- 00:58:113 (58113|1) - I dunno if making this a shorter LN matches with the song. But seeming though you have a chord following, changing this would probably mean adjusting the chord following to suit. I still like this how it is. May change in future.
- 01:33:568 (93568|0,93704|2) - Not sure about the momentum break here, it seems a little awkward too Shortened the awkward LN
- 02:07:932 - Can't get exact timing but I feel you need an extra note here
- 02:12:295 - ^^ Same here. I can hear that the note hear is muted or ducked so it's probably not a necessity but in terms of keeping momentum in the chorus, it might be worth something to take a look at Yeah those breaks are definitely there on purpose. Putting notes there makes it slightly overwhelming for a HD difficulty in my opinion. Plus it gave me to opportunity to do a cool mirroring pattern with the silences!
Overall, this difficulty was nicely mapped, consistency was really well done here and the choruses worked really well
MXI really like this difficulty because even though it's star rating is a measly 3.24, it's still quite challenging
- 00:52:932 - You could probably put a note in lane 1 here Oh yes I love this
- 02:03:568 & 02:07:932 - Same as in HD, up to you if you want to keep it the way it is, I think adding notes or not, either way are fine
- 02:11:204 - 02:11:750 - I think you should try and add some difficulty here
- 02:12:704 & 02:16:659 - Same as mentioned prior, you could add notes here or not I filled half of the gaps, but left the other half there. I feel like having those little moments of silence makes it more interesting and less note-dump-y
Solid difficulty so can't really find anything else in it, mapping style suits the song perfectly and I don't want to change that
Hope this gets ranked, we need more songs like this

- 00:34:113 (34113|0) - move to column 3 ✘ These 3 suggestions, no, because the LN's are placed according to pitch.
- 00:35:204 (35204|0) - move to column 2 ✔ I thought I liked the repetition, but this feels more natural
- 00:35:886 (35886|0) - ^ ✘ v
- 00:36:022 (36022|2) - move to column 4 ✘ Both of these, no, because the symmetry of that pattern is a common motif during that section of the map.

00:42:432 (42432|1,42568|0) - move one column to the right ✘ Again, I like the repetition. Easier to read and IMO more fun to play.

01:14:204 (74204|3) - delete this note and: ✘ v-------------------------------
- 01:14:204 (74204|0) - move to column 3 ✘ I'll think about these two a bit more, but again, if there's repetition in the song I tend to like to show it in my maps :3 In this case, the extra kick leading into the next bar.
01:18:568 (78568|1) - move to column 3 ✘ This bit is a reflection of the pattern before (I forgot about it until now xD I wonder if it was intentional?) to help keep the player in familiar territory. The rhythm is already quite complex for an NM so I'm trying to help out the player as best as I can by keeping them comfortable.

- 01:28:113 (88113|2) - move to column 2 Hmm. For now I'll keep it how it is, but I see where you're coming from. I hope I'm not contradicting myself by not liking having all the notes lead straight into the LN's after it? Feels a little... cheap. Might have worked better if the two changes below were accepted vvv. But yeah, I'll keep this one in mind

"Finish" hitsound is overused. Maybe change it to other hitsound or add custom hitsound? Yeah I'll have to go through and tweak the hitsounds. Any area in particular where it's overused? :S
[MX]
00:17:750 (17750|2) - How about extending this until next 1/2 beat? (You will need to change part after that) ✘ Extending most of these just conflict with the patterns too much. If there was more room I would, but I guess what I have already makes sense because of how jumpy the into patterns are anyway.
00:22:113 (22113|3) - ^ ✘^
00:21:841 (21841|3,21909|0,21977|1,22045|2) - Change these to 1/6 notes The actual timing for this bit is really strange anyway (it seems to be delayed by 1/4 of a beat) so either will work. I personally like how much the 1/8th notes glide but I'll mess around with it a bit more.
00:26:477 (26477|1) - Extend blablabla ✔ Oh I extended this one though because it fit (and interestingly matched that bit of the song!)

00:47:204 (47204|3) - End this LN at 00:47:477 (47477|0) - ✘ Holding the note feeds a lot nicer into the next pattern.
00:49:113 (49113|1,49113|0) - Why double? ✘ v
00:50:204 (50204|0,50204|3) - ^ ✘ v
00:51:295 (51295|0,51295|3) - ^ ✘ In the original MX, they actually ALL had doubles! I changed the ones that needed to be fixed to correct the flow, but these are the ones I kept. They still work, as consistency doesn't matter much in this section when it comes to doubles. You can hardly notice them while playing.
00:51:568 (51568|3) - Make this double (Add 2 or 3) ✘ I'll keep it as single to match the LN's after it. Plus adding a note here make it a little odd to play.
00:52:659 (52659|0) - End this LN at 00:52:841 (52841|3) - ✔ Whoops!
00:56:477 (56477|2,56477|1) - ^ (at 00:56:613 (56613|0) - ) ✘ Oh no I already spent sooo long on this decision on a previous mod xD I came to the conclusion that I prefer it go the full length.

00:40:386 (40386|1) - Move to 1 ✘ These notes are there for symmetry of the ones that come before it, which is a pattern I liked to use in this part of the song.

00:48:977 (48977|0) - Move to 3 ✘ Nah. I really enjoy having the repetition of those notes (as I said above a couple times lol). Especially at this section. Simpler to read for a diff that's already a little complicated for an NM.

02:11:204 (131204|2,131204|3) - Consider making this single. ✔ Nice!
02:28:250 (148250|1,148250|0,148250|3) - Why triple? ✔ Not sure why I did that. Made it a double instead.

01:04:659 - 01:09:022 - add a note as NM? ✔ I think this was suggested before by a few people. It's about time I change it I think xD
02:33:977 (153977|2,154386|3) - move 1 col left? ✔ Pitch relevancy yay
Thanks so much for the mod and the star!- [ S o r a ] - wrote:

My modding not aim for change your mapping style.
Hope you understand :3
[General]
- BG suggest to 1024x768 / 1280x768 / 1366x768 Mm seems fine to me. I'll look into it further if it's truly a problem.
[NM]
- HP rate to 7? ✘ Because of the complex timing, I'm being a bit more lenient on beginner players I'll consider it more though.
Too much SV timing ✘ The SV's are already quite friendly, and there's hardly any.
00:00:295 to 00:15:568 - I think, Long notes at the first are not recommend for this song. the main sounds is ahh... how can i call it...? ding dong? lol ✘ I kinda see what you mean but the map would feel really empty without them lol
00:34:659 (34659|3,34932|0) - Shift between these would be better ???
00:35:886 (35886|0,36022|2) - Ctrl+H. by my feeling ✘ Denied this one in an earlier mod. I want the symmetry here.
00:36:295 (36295|2,36841|2) - Can you move to ===>| 4 | ? since this sound is press on sharp key ✘ I'm not particularly fond of having the gap in that column breaking up the notes.
00:43:750 (43750|3) - Snap on the Red line and change to be Long note. Extend to ===> 00:43:932 this will hard to precise. But just follow the beat. In case of this issue i suggest to re-pattern ✘ Suddenly changing the beat like that (with such a small gap between the changes) will make it hard for beginner players playing the map. I can hear what you mean in the song, but it's there to make it easier to play. It's also used in the HD and MX.
00:50:477 (50477|2) - Move to ===> | 4 | ✘ It's in that column because of the gap following it.
00:52:659 (52659|1) - This sound is too short. Not recommend for Long note. also 00:53:750 (53750|3,54295|1,54841|0) ✔ Yes this is better
00:55:932 (55932|2) - Can you remove this? ✘ There's more emphasis on this note because of the higher pitch.
I got no idea with this diff. xD That's okay I'm glad you gave it a go!
[HD]
00:32:750 (32750|2,32818|1) - Ctrl+H. more easier to readable ✘ Doesn't seem easier to me. I spend a looooong time on that part and what I have turned out to be my favorite solution. It's a nice glide, nothing too complex.
00:34:659 (34659|3) - Change to Short note ✘ This is to lead into the next section more smoothly.
01:29:750 (89750|3,89750|2) - whoah... Remove these. 4-notes are too strong (For Cymbals or any SFX and Loud effect) ✔ I kept the 4 notes but reduced the SFX. This suggestion made it so much better
Try to reduce the difficult of this diff. I generally don't try to map to get a certain difficulty. I let the notes be the judge of that Otherwise I'll just end up overmapping/undermapping everything. To be fair though, the MX diff was meant to be high rated but apparently it's not hard enough for a higher rating which makes the gap between HD and Mx a lot smaller.
[MX]
00:35:477 - Add 2 notes on here and then 00:35:613 (35613|3) - Remove it. Clap sounds should be 3-notes ✔ Not sure if I made it exactly how you were thinking, but I changed the patterns around that area. It works great! ^-^
00:35:886 - ^^^ and the same until 00:51:295 ✘ The second triple in each part I'll keep to add emphasis to the kick drum. I did copy the suggestion above over like you suggested though.
This diff. need more symmetry patterns. There's actually quite a fair bit, they're just really subtle.
:3 Good Luck!!

MXWell, nothing to mod much since the map is pretty polished, good luck.
- 00:45:295 - 00:45:432 - It needs extra note on each timings. ✘ This section is already hard enough. I don't want it to be any harder than the actual climax near the end. I did experiment with adding notes where you suggested, but it end up being cluttered and completely messes up the flow. I'd like to think that the LN releases are enough to emphasize those sounds.
- 00:45:704 - 00:45:841 - Same as above, also applies to similar timings and it would better for you to find it yourself instead of making a long list for you to check. ✘ Same as above.
- 01:01:932 - 01:03:022 - and so on until - 01:07:932 - You should add a note to map those bell sounds. ✔ Yeah this is nice
- 02:02:477 - (entire kiai section) - You could have add more notes on beat like - 02:03:022 - 02:03:432 - 02:03:841 - To emphasis on the strong beat more, maybe removing hold notes on that section could add more emphasis if you added those extra notes on the strong beats. Yes and no. I went through and added some notes to emphasize some of the notes (which was a great addition!)... but just not in the places you specified there. I don't want minijacks everywhere in this section.
- 01:03:568 (63568|3) - Maybe shorten it by 1/4 beat? ✘ Ehh. Unnecessary complication.
Ooooooookay that took incredibly long to go through, trying to make up my mind about things. Thank you so much for the mod! I do appreciate the time put into it, and it cleared up some faults I didn't even notice. I hope my explanations make sense on the suggestions that seemed to try to change my mapping style lol StackedNoteMasterrace . Thanks againAbraxos wrote:

- 00:31:932 (31932|2,33022|2) - i'm assuming the LNs are following the flute sound thingy, so why are the LNs in the same column? much more than that, theres a similar part you made back at 00:19:932 (19932|1,22113|3) - , so why at this part there's that gap? ✔ Left over from a previous change. They all used to have gaps but for some reason I wanted those LN's in the same place. Fixed now.
- 00:35:477 (35477|2,35613|0,35886|0,36022|2) - rearrange to this perhaps? 4 seems empty ✘ Haha I went through this in another mod. Yeah 4 seems a little empty but... meh. I like the pattern too much to change something that's pretty much unnoticeable while playing.
- ye this diff seems pretty much ready for ranking Nice

- 00:06:841 (6841|2,6841|0,7113|2,7386|2,7659|2,7932|3,7932|1,8204|3,8477|3,8750|3) - Why is the stack here separate? For the most part the stacks here last for 8 notes, and I can see that 00:06:841 (6841|0,6841|2,7932|3,7932|1) - are significantly lower in pitch as compare to the others, but what gives it the distinction for it to the separated? I'd suggest something like this throughout the whole of this section. Keep in mind the left-right hand balance. I'll come back to these two later. I might experiment.
- 00:19:932 (19932|1) - LN ends early? Check with NM ✘ First of all, WOAH I didn't realise that loading diffs for reference was a thing! How have I not used this before xD But yeah that LN can't go the full length without cramping up the notes after it. It ends early to give it some space.
- 00:31:932 (31932|2) - same thing as above ✘ Same reason as above.
- 00:39:568 (39568|2) - move to 3, prevent stack with 00:39:386 (39386|3) - ✘ Stacked notes are very common in this section, as I put great importance on pitch relevancy in this diff.
- 00:45:022 (45022|0,45204|1,45386|0,45568|2,45568|0,45750|1,45932|0) - seems off with the stack, the repeating patterns you are trying to convey is muffled up by the stack. best i could do to show the repeats is by using a inverse one. ✘ Again, there's nothing wrong with having stacked notes. I know that disallowing stacks seem to be a popular mapping style, but I truly think that it works in favour of this song. Especially because most of the notes mapped are staccato in the song, and having flowy movement back and forth in the columns doesn't really accentuate that. I might possibly come back to this later to double check.
- 00:47:568 (47568|3,47750|3,47932|3) - maybe you think that pitch and tone isnt important in mania (hush hush f_c) but i feel as if the stack here is a little weird. i suggest something like this so that upwards pitch is reflected not only in the LNs but also the notes. Umm. Not sure if you've noticed but most of the note placement in this diff is according to pitch. So I don't know where that came from -_-. Here the stack actually serves a purpose. First of all, as I said above, this section has a lot of stacked notes. It's what gives this section some character, to differentiate it from the usual never-use-a-column-twice style. The repeated notes in this particular pattern also serve as a slight build up as the melody ascends, but that's arguable. The main reason is because the pattern doesn't start at 00:47:204 - it starts at 00:47:750 . The right hand gets 2 notes and the left hand gets two notes to go along with the LN's (as I didn't want the 1-3, 2-4, 1-3, 2-4 double trill-like pattern, again because of how sharp the notes in the song are). The pattern before it just happens to add one extra little note in the same column beforehand as it ascends as well. SO... to fix this I changed the pattern beforehand. The stack with the ln's stays, but yes I see what you mean about 3 being a bit too many.
- 00:49:113 (49113|3,49250|3) - the last one you can reject, but this one i feel more strongly to change, as this stack is in 1/4 not 1/3 Argh I spent so much time deciding whether to change this or not. I have tested both patterns over and over and over. The changed pattern honestly feels entirely disconnected to the pitch when playing (despite looking more logical), and it plays like someone just put the notes there just to flow into the next pattern. Stacked notes in this whole section work better, because without them, this section will feel too similarly mapped with the climax near the end, which sounds completely different. I have labelled this as a question mark however, because I also agree with your comment about it being in 1/4, which does seems a little harsh. For now, it's staying, until I find a pattern that keep at least one of the stacks.
- 00:52:477 (52477|0) - move to 1, the pitch goes exponentially higher, better if you were to signify that with a note in a new column Uhhhh, there's no note there...? And column 1 has an LN already.
- 00:52:659 (52659|1) - move to 4, 00:52:932 (52932|3) - move to 2, 00:52:659 (52659|1) - avoid stack over 00:51:568 (51568|1) - ✘ I'm beginning to think someone named "Stacked Notes" did something to upset you or something The stacked LN's are there because it's literally the same note. Listen to the vocal. It repeats the same note.
- 00:58:113 (58113|3) - assuming it follows vocals, it should end at the same place as 00:58:113 (58113|1) - ✔ Fixed. Also moved one of the LN's to show the change in pitch. And yes, I do realise that the moved LN is in the same column as the note after it.
- hmmm,you might wanna check with NM? i'm not too sure whether they'll care about the inconsistencies with the LNs. I personally think it's alright, but better safe than sorry. For time being I will ignore these. ✘ Consistency will not matter when the diffs being compared are mapped so differently mapped. The NM is trying to keep with the basic vocal line, whereas the HD aims to include the percussion as well.
- 00:59:613 (59613|3) - move to 3 ✔ Alright
- 01:03:568 (63568|0) - last two LNs follow vocals, so im assuming this also follows. so it should end earlier than it does. check with other diffs too. In this case I might go against what seems logical and instead going with what I believe is better and more enjoyable to play. In this case, that LN is that long because in an older version, the note where it ends did not exist. The act of releasing the LN was to signify the *click*. The note was put there for added emphasis. It feels much stranger to release before the click than it does to notice that the vocal ends 1/4 of a beat before the LN's does. For now it's staying, but I'll consider it further.
- 01:03:568 (63568|3) - i think this LN inconsistency isnt the same as the others, as the sound clearly ends correctly with HD, but with NM and MX it ends differently. (picture shows NM with HD side by side) Errr... I think you may have accidentally moved the notes because the end of the LN is next to the other note on all 3 diffs ._.
- 01:12:159 (72159|3,72227|2,72295|1) - rearrange to this. avoid 1/4 stack ✘ The. Stack. Stays.
- 01:13:250 (73250|2,73386|2) - top note is a different tone and pitch than bottom, so this isnt back and forth. suggestion. ✘ But... it is the same note lol. D - E - D
- 01:13:795 (73795|3,73795|0,73932|1,73932|2,74068|1,74204|3,74204|2,74341|3,74477|2,74477|0) -re-arrange to this? kept the upwards stairs whilst removing the stacks. ✘ STACKS ARE FINE
- 01:19:386 (79386|1,79386|0,79568|2,79568|1,79750|2,79750|3,79932|3,79932|0) - these patterns are fine, they are 1/3, not too hard to hit. just remember to keep the number of stacks consistent throughout. 01:20:295 (80295|3,80295|2,80477|3,80477|0,80659|2,80659|1,80841|0,80841|2,81022|3,81022|2) - which is the problem over here. suggestion. I changed one of the notes to avoid the triple stack. For assuming that I don't care for pitch relevancy, you seem to miss the times when I do.
- 01:46:113 (106113|2) - move to 2, 01:46:295 (106295|1) - move to 3 ✔ Yep for both.
- 01:53:386 (113386|3) - move to 4, highest note in sequence ✘ It's also relative to the note before it. The pitch doesn't suddenly jump up high, it gradually rises.
- 01:59:204 (119204|2,119204|1,119204|0,119386|3,119568|0,119750|3,119932|2,120113|1,120295|0) - i'd suggest something like this.stack seems out of place. ✘ I don't see a problem with this.
- 02:10:659 (130659|2) - move to 1, 02:10:795 (130795|1) - move to 2, much neater pattern. Uhh I think your column notation or links much be a little wrong. One of them creates a stack and the other links to a nonexistant note.
- just a question, what gives 02:02:477 (122477|3,122477|1,122477|0,129022|3,129022|1,129022|2,137750|1,137750|0,137750|3) - the merit to be 3 notes? I was guessing the bell sound in the music, but other parts of the music had the bell sound but didn't have the 3 notes.
- 02:28:250 (148250|3,148250|0,148250|1) - same as above, all the 02:28:250 (148250|3,148250|0,148250|1) - sounds these notes are following arent really different in terms of strength, only pitch The first 3 note chord is because that section starts powerfully. As for the other two, it would actually be consistent, but the other sections where I would have put them already have LN's, so it would not flow well at all.
MXMX
- The starting jacks arent really even on the hand balance. you might wanna check from 00:17:750 (17750|1,17750|2) onward - which hand is taking the load of the stack. might be a little hard with the LNs, but i think its doable. The ones after the time you linked seemed fine, I reckon it's the ones before it that seems to favour the left hand. I'll look into this further. For now it's not very noticeable.
- 00:35:750 (35750|1) - i feel bad saying this, but this note is snapped wrongly. its on the next 1/16 tick. there's probably loads more of this, if i find these ill state in this mod. remember to cross refer to other diffs too. for these things ill mark it as a star (*) Are you sure? Everything is snapped fine on my end. Most the stuff you linked are perfectly on the 1/4 snap. As for the claps, it does sound like they come in sliiiiiightly after where I put the notes, but the map will be terrible if I decide to move them forward that arbitrary distance. But yeah, something tells me something went wrong with your editor lol. For this mod I'll just delete where you've mentioned it, unless I'm misreading something here xD
EDIT: Oh wait now I see what you mean after listening reeeeeeeally closely. Honestly I don't think it matters haha. It's impossible to notice when playing at full speed anyway, and the map will be completely crap to play if I move a whole bunch of notes forward 1/16. The lateness is only by a fraction of a fraction of a second.- 00:37:522 (37522|3) - move to 4, distributes load to right hand ✔ So confused >_< I'm assuming you mean the note in column 3 (the one linked is a nonexistant note in 4), which is already in the right hand, but moving it to column 4 happened to work anyway
- 00:39:704 (39704|0) - move to 1, ^^^ ✔ Done
- 00:43:932 (43932|3,43932|0) - this section onwards ill be assuming you are following the general beat of the drum
- 00:51:295 (51295|3) - move to 3, 00:51:432 (51432|2) - move to 4, 00:51:568 (51568|3) - move to 2. ✔ Except for the move to 2. Moved to 3 instead.
- 00:59:386 (59386|1,59477|3,59477|2,59659|2,59750|1,59750|0) - re-arrange to this. stack seemed out of place. ✘ The Stack Does Not Exist. But seriously though, this is fine.
- 01:01:022 (61022|2,61204|3) - i'd suggest something like this. check the snapping too. i was think the vocals go on, so why not follow up with the LNs. ✘ As said in a previous mod. Changing the rhythm so slightly just adds unnecessary complication. It's so much better to play with even 1/3 snapped notes. Again, you don't even notice while playing. I know that might seem lazy to some, but trust me, it's a whoooole lot better to keep it simple so the players can enjoy the map more.
- 01:03:568 (63568|2) - remember what i said in HD? if this LN is following vocals, should end earlier. ✘ Emphasis.
- 01:04:659 (64659|1) - onward - my suggestion. (squished together on the timeline for visibility)there is still slight tinkles in the music, and as for the LN, there's a audible synth beat dragging along. my snapping for the synth beat could be wrong. check plz Damnit I like this suggestion but it doesn't quite work Putting notes there just overpowers it and makes it seem like they're out of place. The effects you're talking about are incredibly quiet anyway. Could change in future.
- 01:11:477 (71477|3,71477|2,71477|0,71613|1,71750|0,71750|3,71886|2,72022|1,72022|0,72022|3) - maybe something like this? prevents 1/4 stack. ✘ Nah it's fine.
- 01:13:250 (73250|2,73386|2) - this part is a little messy. maybe this might smoothen it out and make the 1/8 visible. ✘ Same reason as HD. The 1/8's don't descend. It's a little trill.
- 01:17:341 (77341|2,77341|3) - would make sense if this had one more note at 2. ✔ Nice catch.
- 01:19:113 (79113|1,79113|3,79250|3,79250|2,79386|0,79386|2) - same as above, suggestion here. ✘ Mm it's a tad too much at that part.
- 01:20:659 (80659|2,80659|3,80659|0,80841|3,80841|0,80841|2) - top is different tone than bottom, so should be different columns like this. ✔ Fixed to be a little pitch relevant too.
- 01:24:977 (84977|1) - move to 4, a reflection of 01:24:568 (84568|2,84704|3) - ✔ I like it!
- 01:30:432 (90432|2) - move to 4, keeps the jacks consistent as with 01:28:250 (88250|0,88250|1,88386|1,88386|2,88522|3,88522|2) -, third jack for the second pattern mentioned is 01:28:522 (88522|3,88659|3) - ✔ Yep this works
- 01:32:613 (92613|3,92613|0,92750|0,92750|1,92886|2,92886|1) - my suggestion for this part. ✘ Nah
- 01:34:795 (94795|2,94795|1,94932|2,94932|0,95068|1,95068|3) - not too sure whether you wish to have the jacks here as the last chord is significantly higher in tone than the others. anyway, if you do then here's what i think it should be. ✘ Seems fine
- 01:45:704 (105704|3,105704|1,105841|2,105841|0,105977|3,105977|1) - same as above, this time i think you can do the jacks yourself :^) ✘ This is a completely different pattern from the previous ones lol. So are the ones after it.
- 01:47:204 (107204|3) - move to 1, similar patterns to 01:48:295 (108295|0,108477|1,108477|2,108659|3,108659|2,108841|0,108841|3,109022|1,109022|2,109204|3,109204|2,109386|3) - ✔ Okay
- 01:50:341 (110341|0,110477|0) - try to keep the jacks within the LNs themselves, since thats the pattern you are trying to do here. ✘ Not quite.
- 02:23:068 (143068|3) - why stop the whistle here for a while? my suggestion, all notes placed are whistles. ✔ Nice!
Overall
- This song so chill it brings me the chillies
- Your mapping is extremely refreshing, although it has a couple of rough edges. I personally enjoyed modding this map (took me long time plz appreciate :^) )

The SV are pretty hard to hit. Consider recheck the SV. And check the consistency. ✘ SV's are fine. The inconsistency is because I scaled the intensity of the SV to the difficulty.
and also check the jack in HD and MX, since some doesn't have identical sound, it's not feel natural when played.
I can't write it, 'cause i'm confused as how to repattern it.
[NM]
00:15:568 (15568|0,15568|3) - just use one, for consistency ✘ On every 1st beat you press two keys, and notes on the 3rd beat are just one key. So it's still consistent. It just doesn't seem that way when you don't count the LN's as notes (which I do, because you're still pressing a key down).
00:35:613 (35613|0) -, 00:36:022 (36022|2) - add one more for consistency ✘ Doesn't really matter. I'm attempting to ease new players into the somewhat complex rhythm by showing them what the pattern is without any LN's before I start adding them in.
01:36:295 (96295|3,97386|2) - place the first LN at 2, and 2nd at 3. For pitch ✘ Lol it took me a while to work out what the LN's actually represented. This is a good suggestion, but after referring to the HD diff, I remembered that it's just a simplified version of the "wah" kinda sound. And in that case it descends and not ascends. Also Having the pattern start in |0| and |3| is easier to read for newer players, which is my main reason.
[HD]
00:00:295 - 00:15:568 - do not jack it. The sounds isn't identical. At least place it repeatedly like 0, then 3, and 0, 3 again, etc. ✘ The strings play at the same pitch the entire time soooooo...
[MX]
00:00:295 - 00:15:568 - do not jack it. The sounds isn't identical. ✘ Same as HD, it's the same pitch so yeah.
01:21:568 (81568|0,81568|1,81568|3) - no dominant sound here, just use 1 or 2 notes. ✔ This is great. Thanks for this suggestion
reduce the Hitsounds's volume. Do you mean over all diffs? Or just this one? Or that particular chord?
Oh I didn't notice it was at 50%. Oops. Fixed now!Wind_14 wrote:
That diff. tune all to 30 % at least. 50% just too loud.
Thank you so much for the star! Thanks for your suggestion on the inconsistency matter as well. The example you found is one of the ones I was struggling with the other night. If I changed the NM to fit the MX, therefore making the LN shortened, it would seem out of place because the song doesn't suggest it to end there. So the other option is to change the MX to make it longer, which in turn has it cramping up the notes in front of it. Sure, I could make it so that the notes go around the LN (which I have experimented with), but it completely ruins the pattern. The only way I could do it is to have jacks or an alternating pattern and that doesn't fit at all. Thanks againAbraxos wrote:
heh, just decided to come back to this map and saw all that's going on. take my star bby o/
Maybe it's this kinds of things they're talking about.
TBH, I don't agree with the LNs being different in the set, but there isn't really any concrete argument against such mapping styles, because NM and MX can be very hard to be "consistent" throughout with. They're different in difficulty, and some mappers might have different approaches in conveying that difficulty. It's all in the matter of perception.
Anyway, good luck with rank Para, hope my star does something.

4K Columns
| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 |MX1st Phase
From 00:00:297 to 00:15:570 -> Jacks with composition : 3121 3243 4231 42
From 00:00:297 to 00:15:570 -> Long Notes with composition : 2434 1312 1423 14
I suggest to put that jacks following the situation, In 15 white double judgement lines (I said so), there a 4 times sounds repeating.
To try the jacks to same position in every 4 white double judgement lines in 2 times(jacks often comfortable in one space between LN).
I also suggest to avoid this in this time (After jacks, a long note appears, and it needs to moving it to another column) from 00:03:570 to 00:04:661 in example.
Into this one:
In that case, I suggest to change some jacks and column positions into:
From 00:00:297 to 00:15:570 -> Jacks with composition : 1234 1234 1432 34
From 00:00:297 to 00:15:570 -> Long Notes with composition : 3412 3412 3214 12
Ah, unfortunately that won't work. The LN's are set up to be pitch relevant to the bell tolls. The LN composition you suggested completely ignores the pitch of the notes.2nd Phase
From 00:17:752 to 00:35:206 I think nothing changed is OK. (Even I found organized 1/6 notes and 1/8 notes)
Awesome3rd Phase
According to me, three simultaneous notes usually for judgement line or a relative quite hard sound.
Anticipating annoying notes, adjust it based in situations, in clap sound, can use 2 notes together(usually adjacent or not)
00:36:024 -> Move 3 to 00:35:888
00:36:297 -> Remove 2
00:37:388 -> Remove 3
00:37:524 -> Move 4 to 3
00:38:206 -> Move 1 to 00:38:070|1
00:38:343 -> Move 3 to 2
00:38:479 -> Move 2 to 3
00:39:570 -> Remove 2
00:39:706 -> Move 1 to 2
00:40:388 -> Move 2 to 00:40:252|2
00:40:661 -> Remove 2 (optional)
00:41:752 -> Remove 4
00:41:888 -> Move 3 to 4
00:42:024 -> Move 4 to 3
00:42:161 -> Move 3 to 4
00:42:297 -> Move 1 to 3
00:42:434 -> Move 3 to 4
00:42:570 -> Move 2 to 00:42:434|2 and Move 4 to 3
00:42:706 -> Move 3 to 4
00:42:843 -> Remove 4
I lost track of which ones I accepted and which ones I didn't, whoops. Anyway, I do like your suggestion about some of the 3-note chords! I should have put more emphasis on the clap in that case. So I fixed that part of it, but the 3-note chords that include the LN's will stay to add emphasis to the start of every measure, which drives the song along nicely.4th Phase
01:01:388 -> SV decreases constanly until 0,4x that I think it's too slow, try 0,5x in 01:05:752 to get SV 0,9x
01:02:479 -> Following above, SV 0,8x
01:03:570 -> Following above, SV 0,7x
01:05:752 -> Following above, SV 0,5x (because in 1 last judgement line here is nothing SV changes)
I think the SV's are fine as they are. The 0.4x is fine, and it only really becomes a problem when you're playing on a ridiculously low scroll speed, which is hard enough in an MX anyway.
Maybe can help, it's optional where will be modded.
