Now, you can play high quality 10K maps and more than 400 maps in osu!mania.
There are variety difficulty for beginner and expert.
Though it's difficult to learn, it's more fun by using all fingers. So I think 10K maps must be rankable.

10K mapset list for beginner
Piano Beatmap Set : 15 songs, 69 maps(10k), hitsound files
Crypt of the Necrodancer : 4 maps
Renai Circulation : 8 maps, hitsound files
10K2S ARCADE Collection : 59 songs, 265 maps

10K2S EXTEND Collection : 15 songs, 58 maps

How to begin osu!mania 10K
1. change 5co-op key setting in option.
2. download 10k skin https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_T_wNM ... sp=sharing
3. download 10k beatmaps
4. play 0.7~1.3 star 10k maps.

Now I remembered a feature that I request.
Add rankable 10k mod at standard converting maps without 5k co-op mod.
In other words, separate 10k mod and 5k co-op mod like 2k,4k,6k,8k.

Type 1 - Using RightArrow and number pad

Pull out the RightAlt key and use the above key.

CircusGalop, I'm a strong supporter of your maps. I've been playing your 10K maps for half a month. It's challenging but fun.

From what I know you can set 10k for your beatmaps. They theoretically are already rankable but I guess we lack on people, especially BNs which are competent for this key mode. However, it really is the wrong place to ask for the rankability of 10k maps.

I could have sworn there was something against 10k in the criteria (which you have to set as 5k co-op in editor) but i checked and there actually isn't anything there regarding the validity of which key modes are allowed to be ranked. However, in the changelogs, support for 9k rankability was specifically added , and 10k definitely has not, so...

Anyway Ranking criteria forum is where this should be posted, yes.

I'm all in for makin 10K rankable,that looks like a wonderful keymode to learn someday and agives even more possibilities/mapping freedom than 9K

I really would love to see this, but i personally would prefer to extend it to: make all DP keymodes rankable.
As a 16K player i know the pain that your main keymode isn't rankable and if we only include 1 more key every time, then it will take many more years until all keys are rankable :D

I love how people shoot stars at it, while it's in the wrong forum, thus all stars will go to waste
Unless I am mistaken, can this be moved to Ranking Criteria, where it belongs?

I wrote the post here because these problem should be fixed also. (1k~9k are no problem)

1. We can't play 10k with the defualt settings.
2. We can't register the internet ranking scores by 10k play on converted standard maps.

If it's possible to create a map with it (which is) then it technically is rankable
There is nothing which says it is though
However, there is also nothing saying it is not

I actually asked that on the first page and even got the reply that 9K got implemented but 10K doesn't. So before we can care to make 10K rankable we should be able to set them without manipulating the .osu files. :P

We don't have to manipulate .osu files to map 10k anymore since we can just set Coop mode in key amount and that doubles the keycount selected. However those maps cannot be ranked yet nor can we submit scores with 10K mod on autoconverts and that's the concern here.

what about 14k/16k (14k+2t)?

14k is pretty different from 10k, especially if you play 10k using a static layout like the one that circusgalop uses.
you have to use 7 keys for each hand and move your fingers between the keys.

We should take it one step at a time imho, we only recently had 9K made rankable and 10K would be a huge leap forward, so let's not bring 14/16 (DP) keys yet. Especially that while 10K still allows to have a static layout where your fingers don't move around, any higher keycount enforces dynamic/arcade style setups which is a whole new level of gameplay.

As much as i'd love to see 14/16K ranked, i agree with Kami that we should first start with 10K and (maybe) add the non-static DP Modes together afterwards.
Although we probably need a Starrating change for the higher keys before considering them, they are even worse than for our current keys. (Well they weren't even considerd when the SR system was created, since they didn't even exist)
This map is a shitty joke so it couldn't be ranked, but just the fact that you can mess around that much with the star rating for such high key maps speaks for itself xD
Forget that i suggested to add all DP Keys before : )
