Ok, quick mod here.
HARD
Use distance snap most of the time (from left side toolbar). In easy and normal diffs you have to use it pretty much all the time, but in hard+ you have little bit more freedom in mapping. Press and hold ALT and then adjust 'Distance Spacing' (a bar in top left corner) to ~1.2 or so.
Use more curved sliders.
Choose some different combo colours from Song Setup -> Colours. Optional, but recommended.
Song Setup -> Design -> uncheck box called 'Letterbox during brake'. Also, consider removing countdown from there (optional).

In Song Setup -> General:
Remove "[Strike Witches Movie OST]" from song title.
Put "Strike Witches" in the Source box and remove it from Tags.

01:53:071 (1,1) - This kind of long sliders might look cool, but they usually play pretty poorly. Consider remapping them.

Watch pro mapper's mapping styles.
You can find mapping tutorials on YT. (Didn't use them myself, tho...)

This still needs lots of work. It's pretty hard to mod this since distance snap is off. But don't worry, this is how everyones first maps look like, just practise more and you'll do great. :) This is just a quick check on stuff, but hopefully it helps.

EDIT: Oh, and remember to give Kudosu to helpfull mod posts. But don't give them to same person twice, unless the map has drastically changed between those mods.

Yeah for normal I know that I have to use distance snap but I found it to be very restrictive sometimes, I will go over it again and see where I can improve it though. As for the letterbox problem, I have tried lots of things but I have no idea how to get rid of that problem XD . I tried shifting the letterbox but it didn't work either. Do you know a fix? Thanks and don't worry I'm a newbie mapper too XD

First Thing is that i went over the normal difficulty several times but i couldnt find anything to correct :P Good Job!


Hard Difficult: i could only find two things first off some combos are only 4 or 5 like

I feel like there is no need to post all the distance snap problems because someone already mentioned in a previous mod that you have a lot of them that are easily fixable.

  1. I'm pretty sure you can make Insane with 188 BPM... Or even Extra .-. the absence of those diffs kinda surprised me .-.
  2. Use this for title: 約束の空へ ~私のいた場所~ and for the romanized one: Yakusoku no Sora he ~Watashi no Ita Basho~ (pay attention to the capitalized word)
  3. The source should be "Strike Witches Movie" (add movie since it from the movie, not the series) or you can replace it with this instead: 劇場版 ストライクウィッチーズ (the Japanese name) and move" Strike Witches Movie to the tags. Oh yeah, you don't need comma to separate tags so remove it and you don't need "Yakusoku No Sora" either since it's already mentioned in the title, remove it.
  4. And for the tags, you can add the English version of the title (you can do your own research, I'm to lazy to do this xD), or the anime studio, or anything else that haven't mentioned above.
  5. You can set combo colors to support the background more (song setup -> colours) I suggest to use grey, dark blue, dark purple, and anything else you feel appropriate
  6. Oh yeah, go to song setup -> design, uncheck "Widescreen Support", it's only used if you have storyboard and you don't have any so it's unnecessary. I'm just gonna mod Normal

  1. This Normal could (if not should) be much harder. Like between 1.8 till 2.2 stars. I'll help you to make this harder
  2. First of all, I think the SV is too slow. Normal SV is usually between 1.00 - 1.20, but 0.80 is still acceptable somehow. If you want to remap, you can increase the SV; but if you are too lazy (like me xD) you can keep it. You can try increasing the star diff with anything else like increasing the density.
  3. I suggest using 3 - 3.5 CS for Normal
  4. Oh yeah, and check your AiMod (ctrl+shift+A) and check the "Check Distance Snap" option. You have pretty much DS problems and for Normal, it should be clear so be sure to fix all of them. http://puu.sh/kVyYK/1ab0b256c9.png
  5. 00:01:050 (1,2) - This is called a "polarity problem" Polarity problem is a problem that appeared when a mapper change rhythm from white and red tick to blue tick like http://puu.sh/kVz1R/a8ee31f481.jpg usually it's only between white-red to blue (like the example) but for Normal and Easy, sudden change from white pattern to red pattern (like your current problem) can also be classified as polarity problem (since red tick could be assumed as blue tick at Easy and Normal).   16. Okay I'll end it here for now. Your main problem here is you stick to vocal to much so there are would be too many unnecessary break between notes, usually it's old map that uses that style. Second, you roughly follow the vocal without really paying attention to big sounds so they are often got ignored or less emphasized (a big sound would be emphasized better if it's clickable (supported with circle or slider head) and would be less emphasized if unclickable (supported with slider end or slider reverse), pay more attention to it. And your slider looks like slider from old maps xD the update of the slider formula is a grace, be sure to take benefit from it. You can read this for that t/37194 t/208596 these are pretty old so you can make more modification yourself. I have to say that actually almost everything at this mod would be blue colored but I'm just to lazy to color it xD. But overall, it's pretty neat for first map -w- it can be ranked, but it will need pretty much work to fit with current pro-beatmapper quality.

Edit : I did a quick glance at Hard and find the same main problem at Normal : you stick too much to vocal; so it looks like old map xD. Try to map the background music more. Take a glance at new ranked Hard maps and find the pattern, you should learn from that -w-

If you want to remap, you can increase the SV; but if you are too lazy (like me xD) you can keep it. You can try increasing the star diff with anything else like increasing the density.

  16. Okay I'll end it here for now. Your main problem here is you stick to vocal to much so there are would be too many unnecessary break between notes, usually it's old map that uses that style. Second, you roughly follow the vocal without really paying attention to big sounds so they are often got ignored or less emphasized (a big sound would be emphasized better if it's clickable (supported with circle or slider head) and would be less emphasized if unclickable (supported with slider end or slider reverse), pay more attention to it. And your slider looks like slider from old maps xD the update of the slider formula is a grace, be sure to take benefit from it. You can read this for that t/37194 t/208596 these are pretty old so you can make more modification yourself. I have to say that actually almost everything at this mod would be blue colored but I'm just to lazy to color it xD. But overall, it's pretty neat for first map -w- it can be ranked, but it will need pretty much work to fit with current pro-beatmapper quality.

  2. Slider shapes are monotonus. There are sooo many possibilities and slidershapes you can use to make a diff neat and fun.
  3. I noticed that you often ignore downbeats, which are the most important thing in a beat. I will tell you what I mean below.
[Normal]
  1. 00:02:805 (4) - Move it to (x:251 y:176) and curve it around 00:01:528 (2)
  2. If you did the above, move 00:03:603 (1) around (x:266 y:82) and move 00:04:081 (2) around (x:408 y:127)
  3. 00:04:879 (3) - You can make the slider shape more fancy.
  4. Then you just have to space the rest of the notes 00:06:156 (1,2,3,4,5) to what I suggested above.
  5. 00:11:262 - Here is the downbeat thing I said. It would be better to put a note here and shorten 00:11:581 (1) till 00:12:220. This way you will make the next downbeat clickable, by adding a circle at 00:12:539

00:03:124 (8,9,10,1) - Things like this should be planned out using a slider for guidance before placing any hitcircles, this gives a nice smooth path. You should pretty much map every stream this way as well (but that's unrelated here).
00:08:550 - Object missing here
00:12:379 (5,6,7) - This triplet isn't mapped to anything
00:14:454 (3,4,5) - ^
00:15:411 (8) - Bad flow, you should try and make sure that slider paths will start in the same direction as the direction of your cursor, moving the middle anchor to X:377 Y:194 and the end to X:422 Y:97 would be better (you can see co-ordinates in the top right)
00:15:411 (8) - Also, this slider ends on a new measure which is typically bad

  1. I didn't mod this one because the snap distance is too inconsistent. Try to keep your snap distance consistent for Normal; there are many places where the snap distance changes radically, e.g. 00:02:805 (4,1) or 00:20:518 (3,1). If you're aiming for ranked, avoid breaking snap distance for Easy and Normal difficulties. If there's a long pause between notes, e.g. 1 or 2 bars (e.g. 01:05:358 (7,1) ), then I understand that snap distance break might be inevitable, but if it's something like one beat (e.g. 00:02:805 (4,1) ), the change would be too difficult for beginners.
Hard
  1. I also didn't mod this one because your note placement is really confusing. There are a lot of points where your 1/1 snap distance is the same as your 1/2 snap distance, which can create a lot of confusion, like at 00:27:858 (6,7). You generally want to avoid these because they are incredibly confusing for the player. Also, your approach rate is really low. Given the amount of circles that show up and the fast BPM of the song, having a low approach rate like 6 would be hard to read since there are so many circles everywhere; too much information is being given to the player, and the player can't register which circles to click, which can result in the player not being able to play your map. I'd raise the approach rate to something like 8.

  3. I also suggest you get some help with hitsounding. It lags a lot imo.

  1. You have a lot of DS errors in you normal diff. Please fix that since it is unrankable! DS must stay consistant in easier diffs.
  2. 00:03:603 (1) - Uhm, I think it will be better if you change that note into a slider. Which ends here: 00:03:922 - .
  3. 00:04:081 (2,3) - The placement of those sliders isn't really neat. Why not Ctrl+H this slider: 00:04:081 (2) - and then move this one: 00:04:879 (3) - here X: 396 Y: 284. It looks better and also plays nicely imo.
  4. 00:06:156 (1) - This slider shape can be improved! Why not just make a normal curve slider? It's easy to make and no one will have a problem with it.

Hi, from my modding queue~ So it's a remod for me on this map.

[General]

  1. BG image size should be either 1024*768 or 1366*768.
  2. You should use your own hitsounds instead of default ones.
[Normal]

  1. I thought I told you once already but I just gonna repeat this again : DS has to be consistent through out the map. On EVERY objects.
  2. Some general tips on how AImod works :
    1. AImod's distance calculation was based on The first circle of the new combo --> second one. In other words, if you misplacing the first combo/the second one, you're done.
    2. AImod will never report any errors coming from any last circle before a new combo. And first circle of the new combo --> second one too. To make sure the spacing is right, remove NC from the objects and fix the spacing errors reported by AImod, after you done that. Place that NC on where it was again.
  3. I won't mod it now, because you have to fix many spacing issues, I'll just point out a few general comments here.
  4. 00:22:113 (2) - Never lands the object on the blue tick in the easier difficulties unless it has a strong beat on it, in this case? I don't think so, the slider's rhythm here is off imo.
  5. Try to have a constant beat spacing(spacing between objects) throughout the song, so it'll become easier for beginners to follow.
[Hard]

  1. 00:30:730 - Why there's nothing here? map sth
  2. Overall I think the flows kinda weird and not completely smooth yet. If you play through some parts in the song you'll realise that some parts you have to move the cursor sharply than smoothly, try checking the objects that if they have the right flow before the next object or not.
  3. Putting a kickslider can confuse most of the players sometimes. This is an example > 00:45:571 (4) . Try not to put 2 or more kicks on kicksliders like this. Because most players will thought that this kickslider has only a kick, and then miss. Try and play every part by yourself to see which parts is ok and not as a player.
  4. I think putting too many 1/2 doubletap is kinda boring imo, because there's a lot of those in the song . Try to come up with sth more creative in terms of rhythm.
Try to apply what I suggested you as much as possible, you can still catch me in game for a remod or whatever. Oh, and please reply to the mods properly btw.

00:15:411 (8,9,10,1) - I find the spacing odd, as well some of the stacking like this. If anything, it seems underwhelming, and too close for comfort
00:21:794 (1,2,3) - kinda lacks some sense of flow that would help movement, seems pretty haphazardly placed at the moment
00:23:230 (8) - odd slider shape, looks poor
00:25:145 (4) - strong beat on slider end, which feels weak to play
00:27:220 (2,3) - direction of movement affected by placing the circle behind the slider
00:27:698 (4) - again strong beat on slider end
00:30:411 (4,1) - this gap is very obvious and halts any momentum gained in the song

Overall the rhythm seems very start stop, which could be contributed to you trying to be with the vocals, which isn't really working well. The shapes of the sliders are odd, and they don't really match up together to look presentable, often looking like they are just randomly placed where they are. Spacing can be improved and it just seems very constricted and bunched up at the moment.
