Harem literally poisons the genre well, if you remove harem from Saekano you essentially get Sakurasou; a much better anime. The best harems don't even compete with the best romances and while you could construe Toradora or Clannad as a harem they separate themselves by making it very evident who the girl will be and building that relationship rather than just lollygaging around. I don't really hate the genre. The main issue for me is plethora of harem are getting adapted every year and most of them are not even trying to stand out. Most are just fine with themselves being generic and mediocre. Not only they have subpar plots but they also have very generic and bland characters. If those weren't enough reasons to get turned off on the genre they will add horrible music which doesn't bring anything new to the table. I agree that there are good harem shows though. Even still, I think I would rather read a visual novel than watch a harem anime.

The OVA series and the movies are much better imo
It's about the same as the original tv series but the fact it passes off his skill as being largely due to being a prodigy hurts it a bit for me

ooohh snap!! the movie!! 1996 black jack the movie ay yo! lol it was on cable tv 9 or 7 years ago i was in my room drinking myself stupid watching tv i was mind blown my drunk ass could not comprehend what was going on but i remember the surgeries being shown in great detail. aww man i defiantly need to buy that movie.
