I searched up if there was any Osu!Mania Kiai ideas but I have not found one of this type. (At least from what I searched.)

I had an idea while messing around on my custom skin, where if "mania-stage-light.png" could switch to a golden color (Or any other color) during Kiai moments. Maybe could be changed via "Skin.ini" if desired? This is just a random idea I had and wondering if it could be something interesting. :) :idea:

I see no practical use for this. Mania can get rid of kiai time lights all together for all I care.

I like this, if that's what you mean

But wouldn't the gold notes (middle column) be (nigh) invisible then

Not sure if thats what you meant by bar colors. :?
The gold notes would just stay the same color if they were gold already.

No. Unless that's toggable, that's a really terrible idea as it destroys reading completely, kinda like fever in DJMAX but way worse
Kiai is a thing in osu!mania if you didn't notice already (fountains, flashes etc)

Yes, it would be togglable via "Skin.ini". All other modes already have the fountains but I see nothing different on Mania compared to other modes.

Osu - Flashing notes
CTB - Flashing lights where notes will fall at the bottom
Taiko - The scroll area lights up pink in the default skin

It's just an idea I had so it still could develop more? :)
Also, it could also be customizeable via skin.ini as well, so it wouldnt have to appear gold.
Another way could be its own file, maybe being "mania-stage-light-kiai.png"?

If you prefer the artistic purpose than the practical purpose, i think is fine, but for me, this idea is terrible.

Its because i am the type of guy who disable the storyboard and even the hitsound in several cases.

I agree with Senior
All modes have something special, but mania
Standard has bigger hitlighting and lighting circles
On taiko the bar gets bright
On CtB the lighting appears on the bottom
Mania, nothing ...
